Is the boost worth the money

Can a Boost do the same job as Bridge ??? Lots of skipping issues and need t get it sorted fast !! so considering the Boost. The 120 euros is a small price to pay if I can get reliable tunes tomorrow.

Hi Brendan,

The both do the same thing, so does wiring any other Sonos device into the network. The Boost has a much better wireless card, however, and the Bridge is getting pretty old.

Also, it is worth mentioning that you don't need a wired Sonos device at all. You can set your system up to connect directly to your router's wireless network and disconnect any Ethernet connections. Then, just set the Bridge or Boost aside. There are directions for this here.

Do you have a Bridge? If so try replacing the power supply, there are some listed on Amazon or just grab a compatible one locally.

AS Ryan said the Boost has a much better WiFi, SonosNet v2.0 than the Bridge which is using SonosNet v1.0 so upgrading wouldn't be a bad thing.

Another option, not quite as good at networking as the Boost is to get a Play 1 to wire to your Ethernet if you can't wire any of your existing speakers.
