Voice control and smart home

I have my Sonos Arc playing my music via Alexa but is there a way for the Sonos Subwoofer 3 (which is connected) also adding to the sound? The music only seems to come from the soundbar. thanksMichael

I have a Google Hub. Before adding the Sonos Beam, I could play Pandora from the hub, and the hub's display would show what was playing on Pandora and basic controls (for example, I could thumbs up/down). Now that I've added the Beam, the music plays from the Beam - which is perfect - but it no longer displays Pandora on the hub. I have to go into the Sonos app on my phone to see what's playing. But, if I say, "Hey Google... play Ella Fitzgerald radio on Pandora on kitchen display" (which is the hub), it displays Pandora on the hub, but the music also plays from the hub and not from the Beam.How can I play Pandora (or whatever, really) by voice control to my hub, have it display on the hub, but play on the Beam? The Beam is set as the default speaker for my hub.

So I'm a huge sonos fan, and recently upgraded to the Beam, which is my first sonos device with Google Assistant support.One thing that google has improved is reducing how chatty the google nest mini is when you turn off lights. You can see them turn off, so having it tell you that it turn them off is a bit over the top.I noticed the Beam does the old behavior of repeating back which lights are being turned off.I'd love to see the Beam updated to not do this.More Info:https://support.google.com/googlenest/thread/10509024

Hi, having just set up the Arc and a Gen 3 Sub, I thought I would add Google Assistant. Unfortunately, when I get to the point, where it asks you to login to my Sonos account, it just say that my email address or password is incorrect! I checked and double checked my Sonos account details, and I am inputting the correct details. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Google Assistant, but it still says my account details are incorrect. Now what? TIA

 Hi, I have an echo dot linked to a Sonos speaker. Whenever I ask Alexa to play bbc radio 2 on the Sonos, it plays bbc radio 2 Wales. There is no problem when just asking Alexa to play radio 2 on itself, however.I have recently upgraded from a 1st gen to a 3rd gen dot, but the issue remains the same.Anybody else had this problem? If, so, what’s the fix?I have also asked this question in an Alexa forum.

So we regularly use Google assistant ambient sleep sound when going to bed. Everything works fine over all, but the only thing bumming us out is that the ambient sound is only playing from the Arc, is it possible to make it play it from all speakers?I’m guessing it only plays the sleep sound from the Arc like Google assistant voice does? Is it possible to allow Google assistant voice to play trough all speakers as well? 

Hi!If I buy a Sonos One Gen 2 and setup Alexa, will I be able to control any other alexa enabled devices, such as video doorbell or I will be able to control only this Sonos speaker? Neven

Hi - wonder if someone can give me a pointer.I’ve got 4 sonos units working on the new S2 system, all hooked up to Alexa and working fine.I thought I might be able to use my old Play:5 which is on a standalone S1 controller with a Google Nest Mini.  Whilst I’ve enabled Google Assistant on it Google Home doesn’t see it (all the others show up).  Searching for devices doesn’t help.Am I just trying to do something that isn’t possible?Thanks

Had the Sonos setup and working with Alexa fine last week. Moved it to a different building with different wifi. Setup new wifi, Alexa voice commands would acknowledge me, she would give time, weather, but when I ask to play music, it says “playing music from Apple music” but no music, same with iHeart Radio. If I go into the Sonos S2 app on my phone and play music from Apple music, it will play fine, Alexa voice command will turn volume up and down, but will not pause. I did a reset on the speaker and app both, but same issue. Help please!

I have a Beam and two One SL in a surround setup in my living room, and I’m considering adding a One for my kitchen which is in the other part of my apartment. My question is if I will be able to use Google Assistant in the One as well, or can Sonos only handle one microphone in a setup, even though the microphones are in different rooms?

We all know that the integration of smart assistants in Sonos is botched, but hopefully someone can explain my most recent problem.  everytime I ask Alexa on my Sonos Ones or my Sonos move to play something she replies correctly with “playing xxx from Spotify” and then nothing. If I ask again it works. I’ve tried resetting the voice assistant and tried different music providers with no change. It’s really strange, whatever happens to the first command I wonder?  Anyone else experiencing this?  

I have the ARC and 2 One(s), all in my Media Room.  I have Alexa on the ARC.  How do I add Google to my One?  When I try to do so, I just see “Alexa Enabled” and I don’t have any other options.  Is it possible to do what I want?

Arc keeps repeating « Mic is muted » then « the mic is back on »   I believe it’s the google assistant. I can’t figure out a pattern. It’s very annoying. Sometimes it’s 5 secs appart. Sometimes minutes.

So a rarely use GA to find specific songs or artists but when I do I find that it works fine. Ok sometimes it might start playing an acoustic version instead but since the artist and song title is the same I can understand that. A friend of mine asked if I could recommend a Sonos One for the start of a multi-room system with GA integrated and I did recommend it. But no he’s not satisfied at all because he thinks that the response and action from GA on Sonos doesn’t work compared to his Google Home.In my world it should be the same since GA on Sonos just contacts the GA servers and get a response and action from them, using the same algoritms as any GA enabled speaker? Or am I wrong?Upon testing at my place I sometimes do find some differences between the respond and result from GA on Sonos One and GA on Google Home Mini but in general it’s the same and it more seems a bit randomized when there is differences. Hi. Have Amazon music connected to my Sonos. When I ask Sonos to play something the Sonos speaker confirms this “playing your play list” for instance but nothing happens and no music is played !! I switched over to my Spotify account and exactly the same thing happens (playing music from Spotify) but again I get no music. I can select music from my phone app and play it through all the speakers via Amazon music or Spotify I just can’t get it to play music via voice commands. Any ideas as it is driving me crazy !!! 

Hello, I have a few questions regarding S2 and the two ways of connecting to Sonos speakers locally: UPNP This API is “undocumented” and not officially supported, but it works.   Sonos Control API on the LAN This API is not yet available, and its release date is unknown. My question is whether the S2 update will remove the UPNP functionality from upgraded speakers? If so, will the Sonos Control API on the LAN be available when S2 is released? If the answer to the first question is yes, and the answer to the second question is no, it would mean that upgraded S2 products cannot be controlled locally. This would mean that new products (such as the Arc) cannot be controlled locally at all, at least for the time being. I have tried searching for an answer to these questions, but I could not find them, so I decided to ask here. Hello all, as you all may already know Alexa cant speak out voice notifications like it can with any Amazon Alexa device. I have seen a lot forum posts asking why they cant hear their Ring motion and doorbell notifications and for the longest time ever those notifications never worked with Sonos. Well as of last night my Sonos One speakers started blurting out motion detections and doorbell presses. I cant find any release notes about this anywhere, has anyone noticed this too? I also noticed with Alexa routines if you had an Alexa response she would say “Alexa voice responses are not compatible with this device” now she doesn’t and voice responses work just fine with routines. Hopefully this isn't a fluke bug.

Hello to Everyone!I have recently bought a Beam, wich works properly with Sonos S2 app, it is ARC connected to a Sony TV, but I just can’t integrate Alexa in the Sonos S2 app, which - when I try to add Alexa - always returns, that this service is not available in my country (Hungary). Although, I have set up the ios Alexa app on my iPhone, with a Hungarian address, and Alexa seamlessly discovered the Beam. I can also give voice commands within the Alexa app (just as if I would talk to Siri on my iPhone, of course, in English) - and Alexa executes them properly, but the Sonos S2 app doesn’t allow me to add Alexa. I have linked my Sonos profile to Alexa, within the Alexa app, also. This means, everything works from the Amazon side, but the Sonos app doesn’t allow me to add Alexa, because of territory restrictions. Certainly, I would not like to create a new Apple ID with a fake US or UK address, just to be able to add Alexa to the Sonos app, because I’ve read, that is possible.Could you

I use my Sonos One speakers to listen to radio on TuneIn quite a bit.  Around the beginning of this year (2021), a bunch of stations disappeared -- if I ask the Google Assistant to play them it says, sure, then says it can’t find what it’s looking for.  The same stations still come up if I ask for them on other Google devices or my Cortana speaker, and certain stations still come up on the Sonos speakers.Is there some reason certain TuneIn stations disappeared from the Sonos -- and only the Sonos -- system?

Alexa routines work fine to play music from one Sonos speaker or let Alexa say things like the time on a given speaker. But I cannot get this to work multi-room. The Alexa announcement feature is meant to let Alexa say something on all speakers, and it indeed works across Sonos and Echo Dot when activated by voice command – but not if I activate an announcement through an Alexa routine (although I can select Sonos and Amazon devices here).Has anyone been able to make this work?Thanks!

Hi All Recently I enable google assistant continued conversation on all my SONOS devices. The Sonos ONE is working as expected with continued conversation however I noticed that the ARC does not work for this.  Is this feature currently supported on the SONOS ARC? 

When are you going to support apple music on Sonos one via google assistant?how hard can it be?I have a google home speaker that now supports Apple,  google assistant app supports Apple.  I use Apple Music on all my Sonos speakers via the Sonos app.what is the timeline for rectifying this?
