Voice control and smart home

I’ve had a Sonos 1 paired with a Sonos SL for over 2 years, using Alexa voice control. Everything has worked perfectly so far, but in the last few days my microphone on the Sonos 1 has switched off and I can’t get it to work again (the touch control on the speaker is non-responsive, the status in the Sonos app is ‘off’ but this is greyed out and I can’t change it).  I’ve checked in the Alexa app and there’s a red highlighted message saying ‘Device offline. Some settings may not be available’ As per the Sonos troubleshooting guidance, I’ve tried de-activating Sonos in the Alexa app.  The Sonos guidance also says to go to System Settings/Voice assistants/Remove Alexa. However when I access Voice Assistants there is no option to remove, only to add (it just states that Alexa is already added).  I’ve tried unplugging, etc but nothing works. It seems that there is no way to turn the microphone on (even though Alexa has been added).  Any help appreciated. 

Sonos customer service tried to help me today (for crappy app problems with the speaker!). Now two of our other smart devices won’t connect to our Network.  Does anyone gave a guess of what the Sonos rep might have done,  so i can undo it?

I tried the newish Sonos voice assistant and gave up on it. It was randomly hearing things from my tv and suddenly playing music. I tried using it when I got the Era 300. I already had Alexa set up. So I had both turned on for a bit. Turned off the Sonos voice assistant and at some point noticed that one of my speakers no longer worked with Alexa and the microphone would not turn on. When I go into settings to add Alexa it says it’s already added to that speaker. And yet when I go to the voice assistant settings, it only lists some of my other speakers. It shows I could remove Alexa from those but it does not show me the speaker that is malfunctioning. I have tried resetting the speaker. No luck. I also just now realized that while Alexa works fine on my bedroom pair, that pair is not listed in the Alexa settings in the Sonos app. It has Kitchen and Media Room but not the Bedroom pair or the malfunctioning Bathroom speaker. Hallo,Alexa funktioniert soweit ganz gut. Habe jetzt Roam neu hinzugefügt und die Einrichtung mit Alexa für den Roam funktioniert nicht. "Anmeldung bei Amazon" nicht möglich.Kennt jemand dieses Problem? Viele Grüße 

I want to turn off voice control 

Today I’ve upgraded my two Sonos Ones with Sonos Era 100s. After adding Alexa to the speakers, I tried to go into the Alexa app to associate them with their respective rooms. I’m able to add them as the room speaker, but I am unable to set them as the Alexa device for that room (allowing for room-specific commands like “Alexa, turn off the lights”, etc).What’s weird is my Era 100s will show up under the Echo & Alexa devices section in the Alexa app, but they do not show up under Alexa-enabled devices when editing a room/group (see attached screenshots).I’ve reached out to Alexa support and they were largely unhelpful, they claimed that from their resources Alexa isn’t supported on the Sonos Era 100 (maybe their documentation hasn’t been updated since this is a brand new product?). So they left the conversation there even after showing them that Sonos clearly states Alexa built-in support for the Era 100.Has anyone else experienced this issue? I had problems with Alexa and was encouraged to deregister some of my products to fix this. Now three of my devices font respond anymore. Amazon think its a Sonos issue but as that system works well i find it hard to address.. I no longer see the Wifi sign next to the disabled speakers but not sure how to re-enable this. Should the Wifi on my beams and Sonos One be enabled or disabled. Only the One has no Ethernet. 

I have several Sonos speakers around the house with Alexa setup.I’ve enabled delivery notifications on my Alexa app (https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GW65E37ZG4L9BW3P) but they are not being announced on Sonos.Is there a way to enable this? I’m looking like a simple routine where Alexa can announce “your package was delivered” across all devices.

I can’t seem to acquire Bluetooth to connect with Alexa. My son came over and started Spotify and now echo dot doesn’t recognize playbar

Can anyone tell me if I would be able to install the Sonos app on an Echo Show so that I can permanently  have it plugged in to to act as a remote control instead of having to grab my phone to operate it.I am not familiar with the Echo show and wondered if you an install apps on the various Echo Show devices?Failing that, does the Echo Show have a web browser to that I could use the Sonos web app? Thank you in advance. 

how do I change the language that my Sonos is speaking? I’ve tried to change the language but there’s no where in the app to change it.

Nearly two weeks ago from evening to next morning my Google assistant stopped working and impossible to add it again. I’ve rebooted sonos, unplugged and plugged back my router, it’s linked to the speaker via google assist but I keep getting message “no devices founds - make sure that your wifi is on and that your ihone and assistant devices are on the same network then try again”. Wifi is on, devices are on same network - i hadnt touched or changed anything in the time it stopped working.  Am not sure what else can do so please advise.  I tried calling customer support to find i was number 70 in the queue.  You don't monitor your email support anymore so no way of getting in touch with a human being which is incredibly frustrating.

The Alexa Sonos Skill seems to have some recent bugs. It keeps screwing up my Sonos system. Won’t play on all speakers, screws up connections with devices and playing music, has problems with volume adjustment. Not sure what is going on, but didn’t have any problems a year ago. I have Google Fiber btw.

I have just bought this with the intention to connect to Alexa speaker so I can have radio in different rooms. So far I have connected Alexa voice but can’t seem to connect the device

Hi everyone,I'm based in the UK and had Google Assistant running smoothly on my Sonos One until last week. I decided to switch to Alexa temporarily and update the Sonos app. However, I couldn't get Alexa to work satisfactorily, so I tried to revert back to Google Assistant. Since then, I've been unable to re-enable Google Assistant. Despite several attempts at resetting the app, rebooting the device, and trying again, I keep encountering the error message: "Google Assistant is not available in your country."This is puzzling because Google Assistant was working fine before, and according to the Sonos support page https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/google-assistant-availability-on-sonos), it is available in the UK. It feels like Sonos is blocking me from using either Google Assistant or Alexa now. I’m concerned that this might be an issue to push for upgrades, which I’m not willing to do after this experience. Has anyone else faced this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it? Any hel

My Sonos voice control won't action simple commands like set timer. I try and it makes a double sound and says there's an error use the Sonos app.I also cannot connect Alexa no matter what I do from any app. And once Bluetooth is connected to a device it will constantly try and reconnect even if the device is off. I try tapping the Bluetooth button, it turns off and then after a few seconds it tries to reconnect again. It even makes the reconnection sound though music. I have to unpair it from the connected device for it to stop.So three issues. Cannot connect Alexa, cannot use voice control for some commands and cannot stop Bluetooth from reconnecting constantly. I'm at the point where I might just take them back. 

Now and then while watching TV, my Sonos system seems to hear a command from the TV audio - I assume some chunk of audio sounds like enough like “Hey Sonos” to get triggered. This causes the audio to duck, and sometimes the system says “Yes?” I feel like the system should be smart enough to ignore its own output. If it’s supposed to be, it’s not working in this case. I feel like this doesn’t happen when playing music, just TV audio via eARC.

Amazon music won't play through my Sonos system.

I recently bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with the hope of having the TV connected to it and using it as a Spotify Connect speaker. It’s been working fine until I tried to enable the Google Voice Assistant. In their app, I start the process, but then the Google Assistant app opens and says no devices found.I have the latest Sonos iOS app and the latest Google Assistant app. The mic button doesn’t do anything when I press it, and in the app, the mic shows as “Disabled.”I’ve already tried to re-pair and re-add it to my account, restarted my router, and restarted the Beam itself. I have plenty of other devices that can be added to Google Assistant without any issues. It’s just this Beam.I also have a Sonos One that has no issue connecting to Google Assistant. I’ve reinstalled the One multiple times just to ensure it works properly.I contacted customer service and explained the issue. I’ve got a few sonos products with mics, and i have added alexa as a voice control in my sonos account. I have also reauthorised the sonos skill in the alexa app.  one of my moves stopped responding at all to alexa commands.  when i go to the voice control settings and try to add alexa back to the move, i get the error ‘some of your products are not connected/online, please connect and retry’.  for context, i have removed a few speakers from my system. But they are not showing up as upgrade options in my account.  any ideas?
