Why can't you get an Amp and a Port together in a set?
I have my music library on pro-level Netgear NAS, with everything in order. I have a 1 Gb LAN connection to server, so WiFi/WLAN connection problems are not applicable.Every time I get a Sonos update I apply it, get a 1101 Error, apply it again, then gets the message there is nothing to update. But Sonos is updated. However, after every update Sonos cannot access my music library anymore. Doing an “Update Music Library Now” results in an error (after a few minutes, the time varies): “//N//N is no longer available...”However, at (exactly) the same time Sonos has no problem playing the music that happened to be in the Sonos queue (the queue isn’t emptied during an update), which of course resides on exactly the same NAS with exactly the same connection details (that Sonos already has). So “technically” there are no glitches, otherwise Sonos wouldn’t even be able to access the files it is actually playing. The general advice is to remove and then restore the connection. However, if I do thi
I have Sonos S2 set up in a holiday let with 4 speakers and 4 controllers set up as bespoke Sonos controllers using old iPhones and imaze so the phones cannot be used for anything else.this setup is absolutely great and works well.I have set up an extra Sonos account only used for this location and all of the controllers are logged out of the account. However, I am still concerned that guests could fiddle with settings and break the system. It seems possible to go into system and try to downgrade to S1 for example? Is it ?Is there anything detrimental a user (who is not logged in) could do, and if so, would it not be appropriate to either hide or disable some system options unless logged in ?Most users would probably not poke around with the system settings, but setting an alarm is a useful function for example and can only be done within system, but I don’t want to invite users to dig around unnecessarily.
I like my music loud. (Old School)I have the Beam connected to my TV and my wireless Sonos sub connected to the beam.I have a Marantz receiver and a Sony Turntable connected to Klisch bookshelf speakers.I was thinking of adding some Sonos speakers to the system, are there any Sonos Speakers that will play well and loud? If so, I guess I’ll have to add the Port to the system to play them. I’m looking for recommendations please!!!
I would like the TV to be the music hub.So I will connect via eARC to the soundbar (Beam), and from the soundbar to 2 play ones and perhaps a sub for music listening with better stereo separation. Will this be a problem?
"does the walnut turntable and Sonos Five kit allow choosing the Black Five ?
So many of us heard the rumors that one of the upcoming devices is a streaming unit. I'm all in on that (apple tv and firestick is awful). At the same time, many of us using an Arc or Beam have either an issue of no E-arc on our TVs or on some units (samsungs for example) the TVs really struggle to connect and transfer data properly. As a result ma y of us have had to spend quit a bit on HDfury products to get around these issues. I'd hope had hoped Sonos's streaming device would include a selector and the option to seperate the audio similar to an HDfury Arcana, but I'm sure this isn't going to be the case. So I am really hoping now that they produce an hdmi selector that also acts in the manner that the Arcana and Vrroom works.
Hi , have 2 already connected Sonos one Gen 1 speakers successfully via 5g Mesh. Just purchased a new Sonos Ray and can't get it to connect to the Mesh whatever I do. What are my advice options to sort out yjis problem please. The Ray will be connected to the TV via optical cable. Regards
Hello, I am planning to have a full home cinema set-up: Arc+Sub+ 2x One SL. I want to have in the same living room also 1 or 2 Fives for music. I want to pair both rooms so that I play music with everything at the same time, taking advantage of the Sub and Fives, while keeping the home cinema for TV.However, I understand this set up will give me a lag between the two virtual rooms while listening to the TV. How can I make that the Fives will not sound when I am listening to TV (to avoid the lag), but both rooms will sound when streaming music?I do not want to be grouping or ungrouping every time I want to listen to music or TV.Is this possible at all? Thanks!
My Sonos system works fine, except for accessing my Music Library located on my MacBook. All the songs, artists, playlists etc. form my library are displayed on Sonos, but when attempting to play a song from the library, keep getting “….can’t find server…. error”. Have tried numerous fixes over time without success. Any suggestions. Thank you.
I have two Sonos one speakers set up as a stereo pair in the lounge. i have just bought a Roam for a different room in the house. However whenever I ask the Roam to play a station or music the two One’s also come on. Is there any way to unlink the Roam from the two One’s so the rooms are Independant of each other? thanks
Just hoping someone can help me sort out my sound issues. I am new here and a bit of a beginner in this stuff so please bear with me. My TV is a Samsung QR49Q7FAM. I have recently bought a Beam 2 and two Sonos 1 as surrounds using the Sonos 2 App. My TV doesn't have E-Arc (as far as I know) so I have a 3 way optical splitter and have connected my TV, Virgin Media 360 Box and a Samsung BluRay DVD player by optical cables as inputs with the output going by optical cable to the Beam 2, using the Sonos supplied adapter. If I watch a movie or sport with 5.1 output from my Virgin Media 360 Box the surround sound is working as 5.1 and I can hear the rear speakers. Its good! Recently I watched some of the Rugby Internationals through the Amazon Prime App on my Virgin Media 360 Box and the sound was also 5.1. I started watching The Rings of Power through the Amazon Prime App on my Virgin Media 360 Box and got no sound at all from the Virgin Media 360 Box output. I switched to the TV in
I have a Play 1 (about 4 years) and this product that has no model number. Due to a renovation I took them off the network and packed them away for six months. Now I am trying to put them back again and was able to do this with the Play:1 but this is not recognized my my IOS software. So I am looking for instruction on how to do this.
If I play something from my arc connect to TV with HDMI and group arc with beam and One audio Is not in Sync. Probably Is not possibile to play audio in this way…Luca
Hello, I have a Beam ,a sky box and a Sony tv. I am not sure what should be connected to what. I have a hdmi going from sky box to tv and the then a hdmi cable from beam to tv into arc port. Do I need anything from Beam to sky box?
I have two music services, Apple and Amazon. If I’m listening to a song and I want to browse the artist or see album info I can tap the three dots and do so if the song playing is from Amazon. If a song is playing from Apple Music, I can’t do either. I get a “No Selections available” message.I have reauthorized Apple Music, logged out and back in and I have an Apple subscription. I’m using iPhone 11. And if I am playing an Amazon Music song I go right to the artist or album. Not sure what’s up.
I have two One Sl for my surround sound system with the arc below my tv. One of them is behind the couch that is on the back wall and the second is between the two couches on the side wall. I was looking to buy a sub and don’t know where is the best placement. I don’t want it under my arc. I was thinking fo put it either behind the couch on the back wall and I would move the one sl to the other outlet where I marked on the picture. Or I would put it when I mark the number 1 in the picture and I would move the One Sl to the outlet I mark. Let me know what you guys think.
Is it possible to create a stereo pair with two Sonos Roam sl via Bluetooth?
Does anybody know what the screw sizes for the official Sonos One stands are? I’ve lost the screw kit that came with the stands. There were two sizes per stand (instructions just list them as ‘black screw’ and ‘silver screw’)I went to Home Depot but couldn’t find any that fit Thank you.
The analog RCA outputs are said to be 24 bits. Is this per channel or is it 12 bits per channel 24bits combined?
Hello,I am looking to purchase a U Turn Orbit Plus with a built in Pre Amp. Will my old Gen 1 Connect:Amp Z100 work with this turntable? Or will I need to get a more updated amp/port/five for this to work?I currently have a collection of (2)Sonos One SL and (2)Play:1 speakers, a Beam, and Boost. So does this work? Turntable w/ PreAmp → Connect:Amp Z100 → Sonos speakers (One and Play:1 or Beam)
I searched and did not see this answered. I have two (2) Sonos Move (and a Sonos Ray, but not consequential for this question). My music service is ITunes. How do I play ITunes to both Sonos Move, simultaneously? I was told you could do this, which is why I invested in a 2nd Move. Seems only SONOS Radio allows simultaneous play?
It appears that Sonos is really suited for home use. I have a bar and I use Sonos and Spotify but customers that have access to my Wifi also have access to my Sonos/Spotify. I have set my speakers to a separate Wifi on the same router and used to the Sonos App to access my Spotify music but even though people have no access to that password they can still get access to my speakers. Is there a professional solution for commercial use to block access for my customers?
When using amazon music prime we cannot see the songs on the queue and hence can’t go forward or back in tracks during playlist playback
