Hello,I can’t get Dolby Atmos from Sonos ARC Ultra neither via Sony TV XR-65A83L, via Apple TV 4K 2023 (supporting dolby vision and atmos), nor from PS5.I tried several settings but it is always showing PCM Compressed 5.1 on the Sonos app except in PS5 gaming (I forced option to Atmos but does not work for Media app only games)I tried different service as well, HBO, Prime, … with latest movies 4K Atmos but it does not work. The eARC HDMI entry is connected to the Sonos Arc Ultra. The PS5 to HDMI 4 supporting ALLM.The Apple TV 4k is connected to HDMI2 (HDCP 2.3).I need some help / advice. Thanks in advance,Abi
Moderator Edit- Translation by
Hello everybody;I am using my Sonos equipment to create a Home Theater. I would have liked to use the following equipment :Sonos Arc Ultra : above the screen ((fixed to the wall above the screen : using the Sonos mount)) Sonos OneSL x2 : one located on the middle of the right wall and one located on the middle of the left wall Sonos Era 300 : located at the rear left and rear right; behind the armchairs Sonos Sub G4 : I don't really know where to put it. Below the screen? Next to the chairs? Behind the chairs? And I can add a Sonos Sub G3 so the bass is better distributed. So there would be 1 Sonos Sub on the right and 1 Sonos Sub on the left but I don't know where to put them.I tried this setup. But it doesn't seem to work. The sound is not like in a Home Theater. For example: Imagine someone is talking while being 1 meter behind you and 3 meters to the right. The speaker on the right wall + the speaker behind the chair on the right do not create a sound coming from the right rear. Ca
We have a LG TV with only one eARC port. We had a sonos amp installed for ceiling speakers and recently purchased the sonos ARC soundbar. How would I connect the soundbar knowing I do not have another eARC HDMI port to connect it to?
Yesterday I upgraded my playbase to an Arc, having connected everything, it was all up and running fine last night. This morning, I had no sound coming from the TV (HDMI 1), also I had no sound when I switched to the PS5 (HDMI 2). The ARC is connected to (HDMI 3 eARC), and I have a Himedia Q10 pro conected to (HDMI 4), these are the only HDMI ports available. When I played a movie through my media player I had sound, then when I went back to the TV and PS5 I also have sound. But once I have turned everything off for a short while and come back to it, it’s happens again, no sound to both the TV and PS.I have changed the ports around, disconnected everything, unplugged and replugged everything. The only time it works is when the HDMI cable to the media player is disconnected, even if I remove the power connector there is still the issue.Anyone have any idea how to fix this? thanks.
My Sonos system includes one Beam Soundbar (Gen 2) & two Era 100 speakers that I want to connect to a turntable - yet to be purchased and to be as “wire-free” as possible. I am considering purchasing the Audio-Technica AT-LP70X or AT-LP70XBT-BZ turntable and a Brennan VB1 device to help make everything more wireless.Should this work?Would the sound come out of the soundbar and 100 speakers?Any thoughts, other options, or suggestions? Thanks!
What are the benefits of Sonos Premium subscription?
I am a long time Sonos customer from the start. I have gone through all the various application updates and the full redesign that happened in 2024 was by far the worst. Where to start? The greatest issue is latency. The slow response controlling both hardware (speakers) and software (streaming services) makes it extremely frustrating to use.Example 1: When I want to turn down the volume from the application, it can sometimes take a full minute between moving the volume slider to the physical response. Same with pausing or switching a song.Example 2: When I add a speaker to a group, I sometimes have to add several times before that speaker responds. Has anyone else experienced these issues?
I’m moving from my current house which has a number of ceiling speakers connected to Sonos Connect Amps, which I intend to leave for the new owner. How do I leave these products and how does the new owner connect to them?
Hello,This is my first time investing in speakers and I am looking for recommendations for setup. I have a 65 inch LG C3 TV in my living room and the distance between the screen and the sofa where I usually watch TV is 4250 mm. This is an apartment and my living room is open with kitchen. The whole dimensions for the living room including kitchen should be 8200 mm length and 3600 breadth. I have attached the apartment layout picture for reference.I recently, invested in an arc ultra and even though the sound is substantially better than TV, I feel this setup lacks a bit of oomph. The sound output from arc ultra feels flat with lack of bass and also the surround sound (dolby) feels non existent. Watching Peter Pee’s video, I am thinking of adding a sub mini to this setup for better bass output but is there anything I can do for better dolby surround sound ? I understand dolby sound works by bouncing off walls and in my case there is no wall on my right and the waves might have to travel
I have a Playbar, Sub Gen 1 and two Play:1's, my 5.1 surround is gorgeous, the Playbar however is technically obsolete. I do not know if replacing the Playbar with a Sonos Arc will be worth its salt, apart from the fact that I get Atmos. I get airplay through my Apple TV and I have a subscription on Apple Music, so no problem with that. My TV, however, does not support Atmos, but Dolby Vision is splendid.
I Cannot Reset Sonos BeamI follow reset instructionsI think my sistem is damagedWhat can I do?Yesterdar works very well and today just show me a white flashing Lightning
I do not see a topic with the same question. So I am wondering if I only have this issue with the new app (Android release 80.07.05). I cannot search within all services. In case I select a single service like Deezer or Soundcloud and then do a search, I then get the result from that service. But searching within all services results in an error showing the “Check service status”. Odd though, I did a clean install and the problem was solved. The next day the same issue occurs. The tested the search all service option on https://play.sonos.com and it works as it should be.Unfortunately the app still doesn't.
Hey, I currently have two Sonos One mounted with Sonos original wall mounts as back speakers for my living room setup. Have just bought two Era 100’s and thinking about exchanging with the One’s.Current setup: https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/wall-mount-one-play1-pair-blackNew setup: https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/sonos-era-100-wall-mount-pair-blackCan’t seem to find any information regarding the hole spacing, so, does anybody know if the hole spacing is the same as for the One’s or if the design has changed so that I have to drill new holes? Thanks!
Is there a way to have speakers belong to different groups based on what you are playing?I have a set of Play:1’s in a surround setup that I am thinking of replacing with Era 300’s or Sonos 5’s BUT… I do not want to hear music from my Sonos ARC when I play music (EG: from my turntable). Where as when I see a film I would like to include all speakers in the suround setup. Is this possible? I don’t really want to have a set of dedicated speakers for music and a seperate set for suround speakers in my living room… At the moment the only way I can see to do this is to change the configuration, which means you need to do a Trueplay setup every time I watch TV or listen to music… This could mean a lot of dansing around my room waving a mobile up and down… And definately not something my wife and kids can do...There must be a better alternative to this?
I’ve connected my Move 2 via the MacOS app and am able to play music from my Mac. I can’t seem to get it to connect on my iPhone using the iOS App. It was working and was playing Spotify from my phone onto Move 2 but when I closed App and went back in it’s now showing Not Connected and has options to Add Speaker or Component or joint an existing system. I can’t get either of them to work. This has been a nightmare set up for something that should be so straightforward. Not a good start for Sonos.
I need advice for configuration of my existing stereo system (Pinell 701) and Sonos Beam and Sub. The stereo has a built in amp and an RCA line out. Can I connect it, via Sonos Port’s line in, to the Sonos Beam and Sub to stream stereo?
I want to know what is the size and weight of the package of the Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc Ultra. I need this information for delivery
Hi there,I have a Sonos Port and am having some major issues which are rendering it very frustrating - anyone else seeing the same / have any advice? Details below, cheers! Device:Sonos Port, with a turntable on the input and a pair of active speakers on the output Issue:Port will drop from WiFi every 4-5 hours or so and requires switching on and off to get it to show up again - it either disappears from the app completely, or will also occassionally just be identified as offline When it does then connect, any other speaker which is not currently playing something disappears from the app (they gradually appear again over the next 15-20 minutes) What I’ve Investigated:Wi-fi Strenth - this is good (43 dBm), and the issue still recurrs if the Port is right next to the access point DHCP - I’ve given the Port a static IP on my OPNSense router (doesn’t fix the issue) Factory Reset and re-adding the port (doesn’t fix the issue) Hard wiring to ethernet (fixes the issue but I don’t want to hard
I have 2 Play 1 speakers and a Beam. We have recently changed our room round and I cannot use the Play 1’s as rear speakers. Can I use them as front speakers in conjunction with my Beam?Thank you.
New home, open floorplan, not ideal for rear position of Era 300. Joining Arc and Sub4 under 85” Samsung in front of room. I’d like to place Era 300s on stands beside the primary listening position, realizing speakers project to sides, that would be mid-surround and rear as well as ceiling 8’. See positions A as desired. B is textbook, but not doable. C is 15’ away on back wall across dinner table. What do you think? Can the technology of the 300s and TrueTune still produce an effect worthy of the prices? Thank you! ( I primarily watch sports and action movies.)
I want to connect my play1 to my s1 system. I DO NOT want to upgrade but it prompts me every time. When I hit not now, nothing happens. How to fix this? thx
My system, Basement: 1 Beam, 2 speakers connected to SONOS Amp.Family Room: 1 Beam, 2 speakers connected to SONOS Amp.Having issues since the SONOS App update from earlier this year.I want to watch TV in Basement have hear audio on Basement: 1 Beam, 2 speakers connected to SONOS Amp.I want to watch TV in Family Room have hear audio on Basement: 1 Beam, 2 speakers connected to SONOS Amp.If I have TV in Basement on , I can on SONOS App hear audio from TV on the Beam and speakers. I can also through the SONOS App, select to hear audio on 2 beams and 2 speakers. What I want to do is hear audio from Basement beam and Amp, and from Family room hear audio on beam and amp from the TV source in Family Room. I have groups setup in the App.
My house is currently under construction. During the planning phases, I ordered two speakers to be installed in the ceiling of the Grand Room and two outside for the pool area. The speakers are passive Elan EL-600-IC-8(s). I purchased a 77” LG OLED G3 TV for that room as well. I need suggestions as to what soundbar or surround sound system to get. My reseach leads me to believe that an ARC soundbar, Sonos Sub, and 2 SONOS amps.
I have just bought a Beam Generation 2 and Sub Mini and already have a One and One SL in my bedroom that I plan to use as surround speakers with the Beam and the Sub Mini. How do I relocate the One and One SL within the system to remove them from main bedroom to home theater? Thanks!
