Feature request: easy toggle for surround mode in Sonos App

Would it be possible to add a feature in a future update of the Sonos app that allows users to easily switch between surround mode and full use of the surround speakers without having to reconfigure them? For example, a toggle switch to enable or disable surround mode?

Hi.  There are numerous threads requesting this and explaining why a reconfiguration is essential.  It’s possible that the reconfiguration could be simplified for the user, but probably not accelerated.

There have been one or two other threads and requests on this topic:

Would this not result in the surrounds outputting stereo audio solely behind the listener, as though they had their back turned to the soundstage? - I personally prefer the music playing out in front of the listening position, although I don’t mind immersive Atmos audio too where the music surrounds the user, but having stereo output just positioned behind me would IMV sound a little odd.

I agree if the favored stereo listening seating position is the same as the TV viewing position.

Maybe Sonos could set up a subsidiary company manufacturing swivel chairs.

Not exactly what you want but you can switch the surrounds (when streaming ma music source) from the default Ambient mode to Full mode and get the front channels mirrored instead of going through the ambient filter.
