I have a Bean and two Ones for my TV. A lot of the time the voices on the TV program are quiet but the sound effects are loud. I find myself having to constantly turn the volume up and down.is there a way to even them out?
Hello, My TV has ARC, but not eARC, so I’m getting the HDFury connector to pipe ATMOS from my AppleTV to my ARC. My TV has other sources, and the room has the ARC and the Amp, is it possible to have BOTH my tv ARC connected to the Amp HDMI input and the AppleTV/HDFury connected to the ARC (for ATMOS)?
According to the setup instructions the Roam has two modes to save energy. One is a long five second hold of the power button which requires the same power button to switch on. The other is to briefly press the power button and when you want to power up the Roam next time to press any button on the unit but this does not work for me as the only way to wake the unit is to use the power button. Had anyone had any luck with waking the unit using the play/volume buttons?
It seems that I’m not the only one the caps blown on the power board of the Play 3 with the terrible plastic burning smell..Any replacement power board kit out there?I think the product should have been recalled if not already had happened. thanks.
Recently purchased Sonos arc/sub/2 one SLs paired with samsung QN85Q60T. Dolby atmos reflects for Netflix movie (El Camino) & Prime (Jack Ryan). However, all other shows/movies do not display Dolby atmos? Further, movies on Disney +, Apple TV, HBO max (justice league) which supposedly supports DA, Sonos app only displays Dolby 5.1?! anyone experiencing the same? Is it related to Samsung TVs?
I’m trying to connect my onkyo system (housing analog cd, phono, aux inputs) so that it provides a single output to the Sonos port…can this be done?
I may be completely missing the point here...but when I take my Roam out and about the S2 app becomes unusable as a control for the speaker. As soon as I am beyond range of the home WiFi the app simply reports the error that there is no WiFi (correct) and effectively locks all functionality. How does this support the use case of taking Roam to the beach/ park etc?
Once again Sonos chooses to punish its customer base. When S3 is released, be prepared to have to scrap your existing stuff and give Sonos loads more of your cash. If I were an investor in Sonos, I'd sell my stock right now.I've just bought Roam. Big mistake. It messes up my current system, a mixture of S1 and S2 components. I don't know if I can get Roam working or will have to return it.
Hello,I have a very annoying and disapointing issue with my Sonos Arc.First , with streaming services like Spotify, I need to put the volume up to 50% for earing music with good quality (loud and clear), whereas 20% were enough with my previous soundbar. I am a little bit sad about this. Second, the tv sound (lg cx 55’) is much louder and clearer without the sound bar. I need to put the sonos arc to 70%. (dolby 2.0) On Amazon Prime, directly from the tv : 30% is enough (dolby 5.1) , on netflix 40% (dolby 5.1 or pcm 2.0), spotify and youtube 20%. With the PS4, LPCM is not a fairy tale, i can’t passtrough 5.1 correctly , the app indicates 7.1 and the sound is very quiet. On dolby the sound suffers from a brief delay and it’s not very clear. I am very annoyed and disapointed, i wouldn’t recommend sonos. I can’t return my soundbar to my local supplier now, but for me it is just not usable. My tv is up to date, my soundbar is up to date .. I’ve tested many combinaison (arc → earc, passtrou
I'm using a sonos port which is connected to my recordplayer. The Port is connected via a LAN cable to my router (Sonosnet channel 1) and the music has been set to compressed...and is played via multiple One'sStill I'm losing audio; The music sometimes is not played for 10-20 seconds before it starts playing again. Also the sonos s2 app (on my Iphone) states that it can't connect to SonosAny idea how to resolve this? Eventhough sonos is wired, can it have something to do with my wifi?
The latest version upgrade of S2 12.2.4 has started to say that the OS on my Motorola G4+ phone Android 7.0 is no longer supported. It now no longer finds my Sonos Play:1 and Play:3 speakers in the app. The notification directs me to the Sonos website documentation that says that Andriod 7 is supported. I haven’t seen any announcements that Sonos is dropping support for Android 7. Why is this happening?
I have read the community questions, but haven’t found this answer. Our music library works, I can play the music from my iPhone when routed through my husband’s library (he loaded all of my music there, can’t play direct from my phone). What do I need to do to have my music play when he takes his laptop with him?
If I listen to the Move while it's on its charging base/ ring is the speaker running off its battery or from the power being supplied by the base?
Hi All,Just wanted to post my experience as I just received my roam yesterday, and finally got it setup so I can use it as a portable bluetooth speaker outside, at the beach, golfing, etc... the sound quality is awesome and it gets quite loud, is very clear and has great range, great sound out of the little package! I currently have an S1 system of AMP, Play3, Play5, and I have zero plans to upgrade these to S2 as we all know these speakers are not cheap, and I'm not really a fan of this approach they took. I'm an embedded engineer and programmer, and they could have done better. Already discussed heavily here on these forums, so I'll leave it at that...The ROAM won't do anything until you 'set it up in a system' using the SONOS app. The setup that worked simplest for me was install the S2 app on my phone (after removing S1 app, or use another mobile device that never had any Sonos app), AFTER unplugging ALL of my S1 devices so they are completely powered off. You CANNOT have any
Can you use the same Sonos email account for both the S1 and S1 "parts" in a s1 s2 split system - or - do you need a different e-mail for the new s2 part?
I have x2 Gen1 play 5’s, a play bar and x2 gen 1 play 1’s.Since I tried to set up the S2 app I realised that the Gen1 5’s aren’t compatable. Now I can’t link all the speakers back together on the S1 app as they show as not compatible including the boost. Seems I can only access half the system at a time via either App, but not them all like I used to be able to do!I hope this isn’t permanent ??
Installing a 16x12’ shingled roof pavilion about 6-8 feet away from pool. Trying to determine if a pair of Sonance outdoor or Move is the better option. I’m thinking about mounting them onto the 2 rear posts of the pavilion facing the pool, positioned up high on the 8’ posts They would end up about 18-20’ away from the pool. I already have 4 Polk Atrium 5s running thru a Connect that are approx 40 feet away on the opposite side of the pool and pointed toward the pool.If Sonance outdoor, I need an amp but those aren’t rated for outdoor use, right? If Move, the charging base isn’t rated for outdoor use.Am I missing something or is there not a complete outdoor solution?
Are you having problems with getting information/shipping/order within your account?Have you had lack of information about an order placed?Fed up of being ignored?
Got a new Sonos Roam and added it successfully into my Sonos ecosystem however on the S2 app while I can select music to play on the roam (and it does) the app shows “no music selected” even though music is playing. This also means I can’t control playback. I can group the speak successfully and then control the music, it just doesn't work when it's just the roam. Another minor bug is that under Settings, Sonos Roam, EQ, Loudeness isvalways shown as off even though it's enabled. Toggling the switch confirms this.
There are several articles etc online about this but most seem out of date. Am I able to have the Sonos control show on my iPhone X Lock Screen? Do I have to somehow turn off airplay to do this? If so, why? Because that is very annoying. If I do, how do I do it?
I have a Sonos Beam with [2] Play:1’s connected to a Toshiba Fire TV, with the Beam connected through the HDMI/ARC input. Any time the TV is turned off/ it does not start up with the Beam as the audio output - it always defaults to the TV’s internal speakers. The CEC is turned on, PCM is turned on. No other HDMI inputs. DO I need to unplug everything any time I want the Beam to be the audio output??? All firmware is updated for TV and Beam.. Autoplay is on and obviously not working.
Does the LG CX Series support al the features of Sonos ARC? I have not purchased this TV, but want to. However, I want to be able to utilize the Sonos ARC features.
Had my new Roam on a QI charging pad for twelve hours now - noticed orange light was flashing but it’s not even warm so not sure why. Switched it on and it’s still only on 53% charge??
I want to update me system to s2 but the amps seem to be continuously back ordered. Wondering if it would be possible to add a Sonos port to each of my zp120s? Not ideal but they seem to be available and I would save $2k.
Hi all, I’m looking to buy a record player and already have two Sonos One speakers that I’m using as a pair. I’m trying to figure out if I can connect the One speakers to the Amp wirelessly and use them as output for my record player. I also would like to upgrade in the near future with a Sonos Beam for a home theatre. Would this setup work? That is, (2) Sonos One speakers + Beam + Amp + Record player? If not, what would you recommend?
