It seems that I’m not the only one the caps blown on the power board of the Play 3 with the terrible plastic burning smell..
Any replacement power board kit out there?
I think the product should have been recalled if not already had happened.

Unfortunately most of the input there seems to be about the failure of the capacitor and fuse, but not a diode.
It’s also worth noting the reply from Sonos staff on page 2 of that thread - if you contact them about it, they may be able to replace the whole unit at a cost, even outside warranty.
pEdit: try not to pay much attention to the speculation in that thread about “houses burning down” - all components in that area will be made from self-extinguishing materials, so the actual risk of fire from a failure like that should be very low.]
