Hi there, first time poster. I tried to find this question on the forum but couldn't find an answer. I have a Sonos One in my bedroom, I'd like my audio to play in the bathroom too with the Sonos Move being the safest speaker to leave in the bathroom. Is this possible? Can I broadcast my audio to both my Sonos One in the bedroom and Sonos Move in the bathroom? Thank you in advance!
Hi, I’m looking into a soundbar to mount underneath a 65” LG CX OLED on a MantleMount in the location attached. The room is wide open as pictured into the open floor plan kitchen behind it. Would the Arc be sufficient in this setup or would the Atmos/surround capabilities be severely diminished? Are the side walls too far away too? Looking for the experts input here and what I should do in this situation. Thanks so much.TV to be mounted over fireplace with a MantleMountKitchen area on the other side, open floor plan.
I see there are a lot of questions about projectors here but none are quite what I’m looking for.. so sorry to ask another one… I would like to get a sonos setup for a projector with Roku. The projector has R-L audio output but no wireless features. I am thinking I could hook that up to a Sonos Port and use that to get sound to speakers across the room wirelessly. I would probably get a Beam to go with the Port. Would this work? Any help is appreciated!
Hi! I’m interested in getting the arc surround theatre system for sports and movies (although I listen to music much more than I watch TV). I understand high, vaulted ceilings aren’t ideal and less so my space which is open to the loft above. Still, I’m interested in Sonos for its quality, easy connectivity and options to expand (for example I’ll likely also get a pair of Ones for my office and gym which are in the loft space). So my question is does “less than ideal” mean I simply won’t benefit from the full effects or that it’s not appropriate and I should look for something else? Attached are photos of my space. The ceiling is 14’7” at its highest eg the wall where the TV is (getting a large screen TV soon), and has a 20 deg slope downward towards the viewing area. To the left of the TV wall is open plan, which is partially covered by the loft space above and a sloped ceiling that is 30 deg. Both areas are open at the top as shown. Thanks so much! I’m eager to make my purchase!
TLDR; Sonos Arc throws “Arc not detected” when attempting to set up TV link in sonos app.Equipment: Roku Ultra, Epson 5050UBE w/ wireless hdmi, and Sonos Arc (along with Sub/OneSLs). Set Up (attached diagram):Roku Ultra HDMI out -> Epson Wireless Transmitter HDMI IN (then transmitted to Epson 5050 projector) This works. Epson Wireless Transmitter HDMI OUT → Sonos Arc Soundbar.Issue: Sonos Arc throws “Arc not detected” when attempting to set up TV link in sonos app. Ask: How do I get a valid signal to the ARC sound bar? The current set up is in sequence, I’ve order an HDMI splitter to try in parallel but I doubt thats going to fix the problem? Most other issues I’ve found are around the sound quality reaching the sound bar so apologies if I’ve missed something already out there ! Really appreciate any crowdsourced suggestions and thanks for your time.
I received a promotional Sonos email about Sonos Move.I have a couple of Sonos speakers already. But the email says:Make the most of the season with everyone's favourite portable speaker. Is Sonos move ‘everyone’s favourite portable speaker?’. That’s a question for Sonos probably rather than the community. Move hasn't been out that long and I’d be surprised if it’s the most popular portable speaker in the world. But happy to be corrected. Is Move really ‘everyone’s favourite portable speaker’? Or is that just advertising spiel/misleading?
Morning All,I have recently discovered the joy of Great Lives podcasts, I notice there are a number missing from 2015/16/17. They are available if you go to the Tunein website but I cannot find them under podcasts on the Sonos 1 PC app….any idea’s…? Martyn
WEYV showing as working fine on the Sonos Status page. Great! However, WEYV doesn’t appear to exist anymore, lol. No app in the app store, no plugin for Sonos, their web site is dead, no mention of them on the web since 2019. Good to know that Sonos shows them up and working, though!
Seriously Sonos. Read the forums...Decomissioning our Connect Amps is just BS….we know you need to sell new products...and btw I have a ton of S2 compatible stuff….but this is just too much. My son did the update not knowing what he was doing so now im stuck on S2. On to my questions. I started using SonoPhone to control all of my S1 and S2 devices in one app and it works good...ugly...but at least it works. Are there any others that people like? For my Mac, im using the native Spotify app instead of the Mac controller as it doesn't care about S1, S2 and treats all the speakers equal….is this what everyone else is doing? Is there another good App for Sonos that is ambivalent to S1/S2? for the Mac?
I have a 2015 LG OLED model 55EF9500 -Web OS 2.0 When I play a Dolby Digital movie (Netflix Point Blank) using the LG Netflix app my Arc displays Dolby Digital 5.1 However if I play the same movie using the Netflix app on my Fios 1 STB connected to the HDMI 1 port or on Xbox or Chromecast connected to HDMI 3 via a switch audio is Stereo PCM 2.0Is there anyway to get Dolby Digital via the STB, Xbox or Chromecast? Big downside here is no Disney+ app on the TV because it runs Web OS 2.0
I would like to connect an Apple TV 4K directly to a Sonos Amp to run headless (i.e. with no TV) so that I can stream Apple Music lossless to the Amp.Does anyone know if there is an adaptor that will receive the HDMI input from the Apple TV and output an HDMI ARC signal that the Amp will receive?I think that something like this may work, but there’s very little explanation of what it actually does.https://www.ebay.com/itm/143796907686?hash=item217af6aea6:g:tswAAOSw3iBfphbW
Am I shooting for the stars here? I don’t think so.I need an 85/86” TV and a Sonos ARC surround system. I don’t want to use the Arcana if I can help it.I keep reading about TVs experiencing audio dropouts. Naturally I want one that doesn’t.I want to buy one source, a 4K Blu-ray player. I have DTS discs so the TV has to be able to pass LPCM. I know about the 7.1 bug that Sonos is working on, not worried about that. I’m leaning towards a Panasonic Ub820 but can be swayed.I don’t want a separate streaming device (e.g., Apple TV and all its problems), so I want the television’s internal apps (Netflix, google video, etc) to be capable of streaming Atmos. Pray tell, what television does all of this?
Hi,Each time I open the iOS app, I get 2 prompts:Add you favorite music services Add a voice assistantI never want to do these, so is there a way to stop these from appearing all the time? I can dismiss them and then they come back. The app settings don't seem to cater for these type of prompts. I just want them gone forever. Any ideas?CheersJamie
Being able to use the app to turn off your Roam completely would enable a more wireless home setup. I use this speaker as a bathroom device, would love to be able to leave it on/forget about it and then be able to hop in bed and shut it off from my phone and not wake up to a dead Roam in the morning.
Hi community! I have a Roam for streaming music on my patio via bluetooth. The issue is that when I make or receive a call (Iphone 12) the music mutes on Roam until the call is finished. I would like the music to continue playing during the phone call. Any suggestions?Best regardsLudde
For so long as I have used Qobuz streamed through Sonos I have been able to access my favorite artists alphabetically. Just a few weeks ago, this feature magically disappeared. I sort artists alphabetically in the Qobuz app and double checked to make sure my election had not changed -- it had not. I have contacted Qobuz for explanation. Qobuz returned and explained that they provide the streaming and metadata, but it is the Sonos app that is at fault. I'd be interested if others have this same problem.
Hi yall, looking for help! System in room, Beam, Sub, 2 Play 1s. Got a great deal on a used playbar so thinking about moving Beam to another room and replacing with Playbar. I know it won’t affect the surround setup, but I would lose voice control. Main question...if I replace a Play 1 with a One would I regain the same voice control and TV integration I have with the Beam? Are there any other consequences of replacing a Beam with a playbar? Thanks!
Does anyone have a valid url to add to “my stations” in Tunein for Smooth Jazz 95.5 WNUA? I have tried https://fastcast4u.com/player/wnua-cdirnpeo/# but that does not work. Any assistance would be appreciated
If I’m streaming a service through the Port at a particular quality, say CD-quality 44.1 kHz 16 bit, is the Port’s coaxial digital out replicating that quality exactly? In other words, if I’m using a stream at CD quality (and that Sonos supports) am I getting exactly the same output as I would from the digital output of a CD player/transport? I’m primarily a Spotify user, so if the answer is yes, once Spotify Lossless goes live, and Sonos supports, I think I can finally ditch the CD player, right?(To answer the obvious question, yes, I use an external DAC which I really like. The DAC in the Port is pretty good, but there are even better ones out there.)
I currently own several Sonos speakers. But, I am going to be getting speakers for a retail location and want to get 2 Pairs and 1 Sub. It is a 1500 sqft open space. Are 2 pairs of Play 5s worth the extra $ vs 2 pairs of Play 1s? The bass/low is important, but do the 5’s outperform the 1’s that much on the highs? I read on this forum that some thought the 1’s seem to outperform the 5s on the mids with the setup. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Hello Guys. I recently bought a PRISM+ Q65-QE TV and I would like to purchase Sonos ARC but heard that it comes with HDMI eARC Cable. The PRISM TV only has HDMI ARC Optical Port. I would like to check with you guys if you have any idea whether it would be compatible regardless?
So frustrating The app closes every single time leaving these sonos one speakers as glorified paper weights Anyone have a workaround
I just received my SYMFONISK WiFi speakers and installed the Sonos app on my iPad. I am now playing music through the Spotify app. I noticed that in the upper right corner of my iPad the network/Wi-Fi ‘spiny circle’ (on the left in picture below) keeps on spinning nonstop. I’m not sure but I think my battery is draining faster than it had been before. I am trying to understand if the mechanism that is being used to get music from the Spotify app on my iPad to my speaker is one which ends up using a lot of battery power. I had been using a Google mini before and don’t think the spinny circle thing was constantly spinning when playing music from Spotify to the Google mini speakers via my iPad. I’m wondering if the mechanism that is now being used is different than what was occurring with my Google mini. Perhaps it involves using both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi which causes a lot more power to be drained?Thank you.
Hi, I've got a PS5, Sonos beam and LG UM7400PLB, I know that DTS won't play properly unfortunately which is a bit rubbish! But I'm seeing some 4k discs now have Dolby Atmos, how would that play with my system? Would it just play as stereo like DTS does it would it play as surround sound? I know that the beam doesn't do Atmos but just wondering how it would work? Thanks!
ROAM HAS STOPPED CHARGING ALTHOUGH IT DID CHARGe AT FIRST.NOW THeRE IS N LIGHT AT ALL
