Hi I need some advice,I have a Sonos Beam with two symfonisk as Surround (a 5.0 system). Should I upgrade with a SUB to get a 5.1 system or should a buy a Sonos Arc to get Dolby atoms but with no SUB?

Having had my Roam since the release date and no issues, I now find that it will not seem to connect to wifi. It does not show up on my Sonos app, it doesn’t appear when you add new product yet it works in Bluetooth mode.If tried unplugging, rebooting, but the only thing I can get is the blue light for Bluetooth play, which does work but I obvs want it connected with the rest of my speakers on wifi.

I recently purchased 5.1.2 Entertainment Set with Arc, Sub G3 & One SL to use in my theater room in my basement.  My intent was to pair it with my Yamaha RX-V685 receiver and Epson 4010 4K projector.  I also use a Roku Ultra 2020 to stream my video.After trying several different connections and configurations, I can’t get sound to play through my Sonos.  Have I made a very expensive mistake buying the Sonos? 

Hi all Looking for help on what product I need here. I have 4 Sonos Ones throughout the house and two beams spread across the kitchen/dining area and living room.My office is separate to the house in a room in the garden and I have my laptop connected to a set of Logitech Z623.Is there a way to connect the logitechs to the rooms i have set up in the house so that the same music can play in all three areas? If so, what device do i need to buy to make it happen? Thanks Patrick

I have a home full of S1-only kit but like many others I am now effectively barred from buying any more new S2 Sonos kit due to the need to either have separate S1 and S2 systems, or brick my current kit for a 30% upgrade discount to S2. This all seems to be due to memory limitations unrelated to the actual amp and speaker properties of the S1 devices. So perhaps there is a fix for the memory issue to allow these still highly capable S1 units to operate in an S2 world?It would seem to me a fairly simple network solution for Sonos to launch an “S1/S2” interface that sits in the distributed Sonos network and looks to the S2 network as an S2 network and looks to the S1 system as an S1 system, allowing interoperability of devices with control over all S1 devices. The necessary logic and memory could all sit in one (master) interface device for S1 (slave) devices, effectively creating in software a “virtual” S2 version of each S1 device. Hi i currently have a sonos five and two sonos one SL'sconnected together playing in my dining room im thinking of adding another sonos five to that setup and stereo pair them just wondering will it make a big difference to what ive already got which is pretty awesome.

Hi Community!I bought a house with pre-wired, semi-surround speakers in the walls.  I was thinking of connecting the wired speakers to a Sonos Port and adding a Sonos Arc but am not sure I can ‘synchronize’ them when watching TV or playing music. I would like to create the same experience as using the Arc + 2 ones this way.  Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how would I set it up?Thanks!

I have connected my phone via headphone jack to my gen1 play5 speaker aux input, but I get no sound output, do I need an in line amplifier to boost the phones audio output to get this to work.

Will there ever be a smaller, more affordable sub? The price is the equivalent to 1000 usd😅

I have a beam and two One SL as surrounds but the surrounds don't work with my TV but do with music. The audio output from my TV is Dolby digital.

I have my living room set up with a Beam, two Ones for rear channels and a sub. The beam is in a TV armoire with the tv. When we are entertaining, we have the armoire closed and playing music. However, since the beam is in a closed armoire, is doesn't sound great and is muffled.  Is there a way to bypass/turn off the beam so music is just played through the 2 Ones and the sub? 

I had a major mishap in my apartment which required dismantling my Sonos system setup.Now I am trying to put it back - after a long time - and need your guidance. Call me crazy but would love to receive some kind of notifications on new stations being added and/or being removed whether in app in the email box or another way. Think it would help in promoting it to the masses as well. Also, having some way to “review” stations whether 1-5, thumbs up or down, or sometimes, often, alot or never would be nice. I know Sonos gets the usage numbers but it would be nice to have some direct input as well. 

Hi,i have an arc sound bar installed on my fireplace under the tv.  about ten feet back I have passive ceiling speakers wired to a new Amp (not connect amp) upstairs in a media closet. They sound fantastic but I would love a way to connect the Arc with these Passive Amp powered speakers. Right now I can only see an option to add Play 1s as surrounds on the arc.  any options here to link everything together?

I have had problems connecting to my Synology NAS. Having tried looking for an answer on the web and getting nowhere I phoned Sonos and after an hour I was no further forward. I eventually found a workaround , not a solution. I found if I unplugged my two One SLs and connected to the NAS Library using the Play 1 which worked correctly. If you try the play music from the One SLs you end up loosing the music again and have the access denied message. However, if you play the music from the Play 1 and link either or both One Sls to the Play 1 you can play the music. The One SLs can only play whatever is playing on the Play 1. At least I can play my music. Hopefully this might get sorted some time, but not holding my breath.

I have a roku remote that is not an IR remote control.  I paired it with my Sonos Beam when I first bought the Beam and used it for a couple of months.  One day, the remote no longer controlled the volume on my Beam and sonos system.  Can someone please tell me why this happened and what can be done to fix this problem so I can continue to use my Roku remote to control volume? Thank you,

Is it possible to stream internet audio from a MacBook through Sonos? Specifically, is it possible to stream audio from a website accessed on a MacBook, through either a PlayBar, or a Sonos Connect? When I open AirPlay on my MacBook, it shows another set of Sonos speakers I have (Play 5), but it doesn’t show either a PlayBar, or a Connect system I also have.If this isn’t supported directly in the Sonos app, are there any third-party apps that might do it?There are a number of old, closed threads on this topic, but I couldn’t find answers in any of them. Thank you!

Hello everyone, I’ve been struggling with a Sonos Play 1 speaker losing connectivity. I now believe the issue is that it can’t connect to our office Wi-Fi, as it works fine when plugged into a router via ethernet. However, the speaker belongs in our reception area, which does not have its own router. How can I restore wireless connectivity? My receptionist is missing her music and I don’t want her to have to purchase a new device. Thank you!

My Move will not make a sound. None of the button sounds or any music through either source.Rest of the system works fine.Is there a solution please?

Hi was wondering how long you guys are finding standby lasts on the roam.  Had mine Wednesday, was on 79% yesterday got up this morning and down to 39%. Hasn’t been used so just in standby mode.  Cheers Chris 

I am replacing my Sonos Playbar with a Sonos Arc. The Playbar is currently mounted under the TV using a Sanus Universal Soundbar Mount (Model SASB1). Can I use that same mount for the Arc ? Mod Edit: Changed Play to Playbar for clarity.
