Can I purchase a Sonos Roam and be ably to play the same music with my 2 room set?In other words, will the Roam sync with my current 2 room set of speakers?I want the versatility of taking the roam to my porch and have it playing the same musicas my living room. Is this possbile? John
I recently picked up a Connect(gen1) with the hope of playing my turntable through my Sonos speakers (play1's) and my audio amp. So the TT goes into phono preamp into the connect and out to the amp. Playing the TT via the Connect into the amp, no problem. Playing the TT through the Connect to the play1's no problem. However when I group the room with the connect to the room with the play1's the output to the amp drops to virtually zero while the play1's are fine. Have fiddled with variable/fixed volume and the source level sensitivity to no dramatic effect.I am running S1with no issues. Although I am using Google mesh through out the house I have set up the Sonos gear to be on it’s own mesh. Love to hear some thoughts, Cheer, David
Hello,I have a projection screen outside that I’d like to show movies on. I have hooked up my amazon fire tv through the projector’s HDMI. Unfortunately, the sound that the projector emits is pretty bad, and wouldn’t be satisfactory for a movie or sports. I’d like to get my sonos involved (I have a Move and a Play:3), but I’m not sure of the best way to do this - any suggestions? I suppose I could buy a Play:5 and use the 3.5mm input, but I feel like there should be a way to accomplish this without purchasing another speaker.
I want to stay with the the original sonos app but I am not getting the option to do so. it does not appear in the Learn More section as instructions say it will. Any one else have this issue?
I was very happy, but when sonos arc came out I was impressed by its shape and quality, so I bought one, the sound impressed me but the voices of many movies were covered even with the voice enhancement activated, because sonos does not allow to raise the volume of the voices and it would make many people happy, when it does I will buy another sonos arc, I had to sell it .thank youMod Edit: Added Google Translation to English, as this is an English-language forum.
With Apple confirming that Airplay 2 will now be capable of streaming 24/192 to an end point with a capable DAC will Sonos be making plans to support this?My own end point is a Sonos Amp which i believe at the moment is only capable of 16/44 through Airplay 2.Does Sonos have any plans to support Apple Music’s 70 million customers who from June will be able to stream in Hi-Res?
I am having issues establishing Apple Music / I-tunes from an I-phone on the Sonos Move. During set-up, when trying to add Apple Music the menu asks if I’m already a member. After clicking this button, instead of showing the “Apple ID” password login, a screen asks if I want a free trial. After clicking “not now”, the screen disappears. Any suggestions. Thanks.
Hi,Recently bought home theatre set: Arc + Sub (Gen 3) + One SL (pair), with hd fury Arcana to go with single source Apple tv 4K 2021. Tuned the Sonos system using Trueplay (using iPhone 12 mini). It sounded really well after tuning. All equipment connected to mesh wifi network with 100mbps bandwidth. Everything worked great for first couple of days.I’m based in Mumbai, India. After looking on forum, activated Alexa voice services on Arc by changing location to US via weblogin for the account.Need help with each of the part issues below. Part A: Noticed that the Sub, LS and RS started dropping (?+?+?) in any combination. Tried keeping them powered off for a while and used only Arc for listening to music. Powering them back on brought back same issue.Removed surrounds and Sub from room config and added back. Did a full reboot. The issue stopped thereafter. However, it takes anywhere between 40sec to 80sec for Sub and surrounds to get connected online (solid white LED) every time, wherea
Can you disable the automatic switching to tv source when the tv is turned on?This is quite annoying for my particular use case. The best option for me would be a feature where the automatic switching happened when the tv volumn button was activated, but a tolerable alternative is disabling it altogether.
If you have an old Airport Express v2 (or off eBay) you can connect the headphone jack to one of your Sonos Connect/Port inputs and have Lossless Apple Music today without waiting for official Sonos support. You just AirPlay (AE2 supports Airplay2) and you will see Lossless on your iPhone / iPad with some cool audio quality. It’s Lossless only (huge amount of content already available) not Atmos as inputs are just stereo...
I have had a Sonos system for around 12 years, I have the 2 x AMPS and a Sono’s PLAY 5.All been working okay but at the weekend my Play 5 had disappeared off my network. So I went to add it back on, the phone app told me I needed a system update, so all my Sono’s barring the Play 5 got updated.I then went to add the Play 5 to my network and was told the phone app needed updating, which I did. Then I went back to my updated app to add the Play 5 and was told ‘OS on this device is no longer supported!! version of app isn’t compatible with the Sonos system!!’What the heck! My android OS is up to date, and the Sono’s app is now telling my I can’t add MY play 5 back onto MY network!!!!To cap it all the windows 10 app no longer allows the user to add speakers to the network either.Given the amount of money I have spent on Sono’s to play music from MY NAS on MY speakers I’m very disappointed when things like this happen. I’m expecting to have perform a full factory reset to get everything
I have a move & a roam - can I pair these 2 while running in bluetooth mode?
mi pregunta es , porque sonos no permite subir el volumen del canal central de dialogos , la mejora de dialogo en app no es suficiente, cuando sonos pudiera poner esta opcion me la volvere a comprar.gracias English: My question is, because sonos does not allow to increase the volume of the central dialogue channel, the dialogue improvement in the app is not enough, when sonos could put this option I will buy it again.Thank you
Hi, would the sonos amp be able to power third party surrounds plus provide a subwoofer output? How well would this setup work? Thanks
I got the Arc and Beam both within the past few weeks. Previously owned a Playbar. First up the Beam. I have it in an average sized bedroom pairedwith two play1s. I really love this product, especially with the rear speakers. They blend together so effortlessly (ambient, -2). I love the rears for music, they really widen the soundstage and help with the bass. The overall sound is natural and sound is projected at or just slightly in front of the speaker. Just a great experience in a bedroom or small living room like an apartment. The Arc is so bad I can’t watch a movie or listen to music without it annoying me. Ive had several nice pairs of bookshelf speakers in the living room over the years, 2 channel setups. I was hoping the Arc would be a nice compromise between movie and music quality. I also have the Arc paired with two play1s and the software update. Initial impressions(especially with music), the soundstage sounds very recessed like it starts 6 inches behind the speaker. Th
In our church, during the COVID pandemic, we are not allowed live choirs so, we installed 4 SONOS speakers and play music from Spotify. It sounds FANTASTIC! Now, we want to simultaneously stream the music with our through a RODECaster Pro & ATEM Mini Pro. Any SUGGESTIONS?James
Hello, Just purchased an Arc. Looking for general information on what additional components I can buy to add to this sound technology. I would like to add 2 wall mounted speakers and sub immediately. Also any suggestions on mountings systems for both the speakers and Arc? Thank you.
Why is there only a passive solution (Sonance) or moveable speaker with a charger that isn’t rated for outdoor (Move/Roam)? Is it technically not possible to have an outdoor version of a One or Five without an amp?
I use a video projector which I wire to a Play 5 to connect to the Sonos App, allowing me to link to any other speaker I may want to use with the video. However, the Play 5 is bulky and I’d like to try something that may be more user friendly.I’ve read about the 12 South Air Fly bluetooth transmitter - I read that it will link the attached device to a pair of Apple Air Pods, so I suspect it will also link to an iPhone or iPad. Does anyone have experience using the 12 South Air Fly device to link either directly (or indirectly through another device) to a Sonos speaker that has bluetooth connectivity (Move or Roam)? Thanks,Bill
Does anyone know if it’s possible to bluetooth music to the original play 1,3,5 speakers …I want to be able to play from like the bbc sounds app but can’t see this is possible ( or using the airplay option ) Feels like I’m being forced to upgrade all my speakers for a basic functionality- I have 5 … TIA
Hi guys, As my passive hifi system hooked to the PC has massive humming/buzzing sound, I wanted to give my Sonos Beam & 2x Sonos Ones as an alternative a shot. After loads of fiddling around, I managed to connect the Beam (via optical from sound card & Sonos optical to HDMI adapter). Also, I noticed the volume of the Beam is quite low, even if I have the volume at 100% in all PC settings (Windows 10).However, when connecting the 2x Sonos Ones in conjunction with the Beam, I have a terrible delay (as they’re probably connected as rear speakers in a surround setup). I read in another thread that someone put the Ones in a different room group, however not sure how that’s supposed to work/kill the delay.Any ideas how to improve the volume and pair the Beam and Ones on PC without delay? Thanks!
Hello. I have just linked my turntable to my new sonos 5 and love it. I was wondering though if there was a way to use a custom icon instead of the line in icon? I’d like an image of my turntable here rather than the default line in logo, almost like selecting an album art?
I am in the process of moving my iTunes Library to my new Mac Book-Pro from my old Mac. The problem is that my Sonos playlists have songs with paths to files that point to my old computer. Is there a way to change the paths in my Sonos Playlists that do not involve re-doing the playlists from scratch? Or, alternatively, can I use the same Computer Name in my new computer, as defined in the Sharing folder in System Preferences, as the old computer? Other?Thank you!
