Hi, I am using Android 12 and i can no longer clear the playback controls notification on my phone when Sonos is not active. The only option is to force stop the Sonos app. Anyone else found this with the latest Android update. I know Sonos have said 12 is not yet officially supported. Justed wanted to feedback that this issue exists. Would be interested to know when an update for Android 12 is planned since the phones are starting to get it now. Cheers.
Hello,I’ve had a Sonos System since 2015. I have the Playbar, 2 x Play 3’s and a Bridge. I am unable to connect to my TV even through the optical cable so I am about to upgrade (taking advantage of the current upgrade discounts), but am unclear whether I will need to replace the Bridge with a Boost. I have an up-to-date Netgear/Orbi home WiFi network which works very well. I’m guessing I can connect to this instead of needing to use a Boost???? I will be upgrading to an ARC and 2 x ONE SL’s (or maybe 2 x ONE’s). I have an LG TV with Dolby Atmos which is only 3-4 years old. Can anyone tell me if the ARC and ONE / ONE SLs will all play TV and produce a surround sound style experience? (My old system never really worked well with the TV as there was slight lag on the sound which could not be completely cured with the TV adjustments). Can I then move the ONE/ONE SL speakers around to play music in other areas of the house as an when needed? Is the only difference between the ONE a
When the battery of the Sonos Roam is dead and we plug it in, it takes a long time before it van connect tot the system. I would expect that such An expensive device would work immediately. Is this normal? If it is, this is a bit of a dissapointment.
Sorted, for some reason the surround levels had gone to a minus figure reset to middle and sound is again great. I had a Tidal trial and was utterly blown away by the Quality of the Atmos tracks in the fidelity and the Atmos effect of the music I now have Amazon unlimited and to be Frank the experience is a little disappointing the atmos tracks seem very "flat" compared to the Tidal offerings.
Hi all. Is it true or has anyone heard that DTS will be coming soon by the end of the year ?https://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1631624400
Hello all! I have a beam and two Sonos ones set up for our audio in our living room. They are connected to our smart tv and we play music from our phones over the Sonos app no problem. I purchased an audio Technica turnable (with built in preamp) for my husband for Christmas. I want to get it playing over our Sonos speakers. I think I need either the port or the amp to do this but I am confused by the descriptions. It looks to me like the amp is more expensive because it can power external speaker, but I want it to play on my existing Sonos set up. I don't see it clearly written (in my opinion) that if I use the port and the line in connection that the port can connect to my beam and surrounds wirelessly? Is that what it does? I'm hoping to come up with a plug and play solution here. If I get the port, plug it in, connect it to my Sonos app, and stick the line connection to my turntable, will it play my records over my beam through the Sonos wireless ecosystem? Or I need to somehow p
Hi, all. Just hooked up my Audio Technica LP120 turntable to my Port via Line In. Throws the music to my Sonos One nicely. Sounds great. I have the Port’s analog line out RL going into a Sony A/V receiver which is the same line that the turntable was originally using before I set up the Port. I’m not happy now with how the turntable music sounds through the A/V receiver via the Port compared to when the turntable was connected directly to the receiver. Very bass-heavy and less clear. I realize it’s probably now a balancing act between the loudness-bass-treble settings of the Port combined with those same available settings on the reciever. Anyone have optimal settings suggestions for the analog line out of the Port to an A/V receiver? Thanks.
Hi,I have the following components:Sonos Arc and Sub (Gen 3) Latest LG TV with all the bells and whistles Latest Marantz Integrated amp with all the bells and whistles Two front full range speakers (non-powered) Two rear surround speakers (non-powered)I would like to use the above to listen/watch from various sources connected to the integrated amp while using the Sonos Arc and Sub in a 5.1 arrangement (Sonos Arc as the center channel). What is the best way to set this up? Should I connect eArc from the amp to Arc while driving the other speakers with the amp? Would that do the trick? Do I need to buy other Sonos devices?
So at work we have a pair of ones and a subwoofer and recently we added at home a pair of 5’s and another sub. Both are on different networks. Will my phone recognize and be able to control both systems on the Sonos app?I apologize if this has been asked way too many times already.
Hello Everyone, Current SetupI have a Samsung Q60 TV (HDMI ARC, USB ports, ethernet port, antenna input, optical audio output) Mounted above a fireplace in finished basementI have a coaxial cable with standard RF connectors running from storage room to fireplace through walls/ceilingI have a CAT6 cable running from storage room to fireplace through walls/ceilingI have 4 speaker wires that run from wall/ceiling position to storage room (they do NOT run to TV) - 2 fronts above fireplace, 2 rears above seating area. Storage Room has rack and access to WiFi systemIssueSetup was not well thought out as speaker wires are not running to TV nor is there an HDMI cable running to storage roomGoalWould like to connect TV to 4 speakers via CONNECT Amp and be able to control volume with a single remote (preferable Samsung remote), WITHOUT having a Sonos Beam/Bar/Arc I’ve done a little bit of research and see there are various types of converter cables on the market. Either coaxial to optical audio
Hello !I'm new to the Sonos world and plan to build a system based on Sonos Arc with Ikea symfonisk bookshelf (1) + frame (1) as rear speakers for design/price reason.I can't exactly know if that would be possible to use those 2 different symfonisk speakers as rear.I found some forum thread mentioning it won't (because they're 2 different models) and some others were it should be ok according to the official guide here, bookshelf and frame are part of the same symfonisk product line ("related models can be used together"): https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4807?language=en_US Is there anyone already with a similar setup who can help me figure out what is really possible ? Would be really helpful for my future choices :) Thanks a lot !
With the recent upgrading of our whole system to S2 it’s time to sell my old kit. And with it being Boxing Day I thought I’d dig right to the back of the boxes cupboard. Does anyone remember unboxing these? It was a launch into the unknown back then. CR100 live and well and running with S5 on v8.4.
Hoping someone can give me a definitive answer. Is buying a Sonos Roam going to be the absolute cheapest way to get my new Bluetooth turntable playing music on my S2 system of two One SLs and a Beam? Is there no competition? Nothing that turns the turntable into AirPlay compatible? Seems completely crazy that it costs so much and that turntables don’t offer Wifi music through an App unless I’m missing something. I really don’t need a 4th speaker.
Hi all,I have had the arc since the summer now and been fine.recently I have noticed that the sound has been playing up, not so much the music and bass but the talking in films etc seems to be far away?I have re done the true play and unplugged etc, still seems strange sound. I am using hdmi arc too.any advice will be appreciated Joe
We have had the Arc since it was launched, and I have not had any issues with it since we set it up. Recently, the audio will stop while the video will continue playing. It is not cutting in and out, just simply stops. It is very random, and it doing so with different apps. Last night, it was in the middle of Shang-Chi in the Disey+ app. It has also happened in Netflix and Hulu. I believe this is since the latest update, which is in a similar timeframe as the latest LG firmware update. The fix has been to exit the app and restart the movie or show.Anyone else seeing the same issue?
It’s finally great to see Amazon Music in Dolby Atmos supported on the Sonos Arc. However, I was playing The Beatles Abbey Road in Dolby Atmos on the Arc sound bar and realized that the songs on the second part of the album that are mixed together are played with a gap in between. Is this a codec issue, a problem with Amazon or Sonos hardware? Anyone listening to music where songs are mixed together in Dolby Atmos can share their experiences. Thanks in advance
Hello, I've been trying to watch Blu Rays on my PS4 Pro and it's been driving me nuts that every Blu Ray with DTS tracks transmit as Stereo PCM. My System: Sonos Beam (1st Gen), Sub (Gen 2), two Sonos One (1st Gen), PS4 Pro, LG C1I recently bought an LG C1, and annoyingly the TV doesn't decode DTS Audio, so I understand why I can't get DTS Audio; however, Stereo PCM makes Blu Rays a worse option than streaming. I have my PS4 Pro set to HDMI audio, and Bitrestream (Dolby). I have tried the LPCM option, Bitstream (Dolby), and Bitstream (DTS); none of them fix the issue. I've also clicked the start button within a Blu Ray and changed the Audio Format to Bitstream. I have my C1 set to HDMi(Arc) for Sound Out, eARC enabled, Digital Sound Out to Auto, and HDMI Input to Bitstream. Ice tried Sound Out to PCM/Passthrough with no success. .Am I just stuck with Stereo PCM or am I missing a step? Thanks for reading!TLDR: PS4 Pro Blu Rays decode as Stereo PCM on LG C1

Hello I have a new 75 smart Samsung TV and I am lost in the easiest and most effective way to connect this to Sonos? Any help would be much appreciated! I have a Play 1 Second Generation but not sure if it has Bluetooth and if this can connect with the other speakers (2 x Play 3 Sec Gen, 1 x Play 5 First Gen). The sound is amazing but not much use for cinema sound unless I can connect to this. Thanks and regards

Hiare these lip sync issues resolved ?I have read through the responses and don’t see an definitive answer to the issue I have read there’s doesn’t seem to be an issue via optical but I have eArc Sony tv , and enjoy the 5.1/atmos I have a sky hd box , but resisted upgrading to sky q coz of the sync issues ….is it still an issue or has been silently resolved ?thnks
Why so complicated - your customers just want to listen to their music on their speakers.
Hej, merry xmas!As all topics with the same question are closed i’ll go on and start a new one. writing this from Europe (Sweden), and on Sonos Sweden they are currently selling a refurbished gen 2 Sub for around 600€. 2 questions that are left unanswered1: the difference between gen 2 and 3 are only internal components like RAM? No difference in sound?2: with a refurbished product you don’t have to be afraid in terms of quality? Pretty big price difference between a new gen 3 which goes for 800€,. Should you invest in the gen 2 refurbished, which you can upgrade in the future with a gen 3 if you want, or go for the gen 3 instead?
Hey new to the Sonos and love them!! Quick question tho, have one sl 2 of em currently connected to arc and sub!! What else can I add to it for surround sound ?
