I’m ready to dip my toe into the Sonos ecosystem and am looking for some advice.I’ve been streaming Spotify in our kitchen daily for the past eight years using a first-gen Amazon Echo. I’m excited by the prospect of better sound quality. An Era 100 seems like an easy decision... Swap out one smart speaker with Alexa for another with much better sound. However, I’m wondering if I might be better served with a Beam Gen 1 or Gen 2, as it could serve as both a smart speaker for music streaming and an upgraded soundbar. For context, my family lives in a small two-bedroom apartment with a combined kitchen, dining area, and living room. Our TV is an old LG with RCA and Optical outputs only. Right now we have it connected to a Visio sound bar from 2015 that is pretty mediocre. There are so many variables I’d like to optimize around and it is kinda overwhelming. I want into the Sonos ecosystem. I want to keep costs low, ideally get something refurbished or used, but also get something reliable tha
Has anyone used military discount? I saw ID.me show 25% military discount for Sonos.com, I log in to my ID.me account as it already had my military record. It generated a code and redirect me to Sonos.com. I add sub and speaker to cart but the coupon code is showing “Coupon cannot be added to your basket”. Anyone know if this is an error or is ID.me discount is only marketing gimmick? Thanks in advance.
I'm currently using a Denon AVR with 5 Teufel speakers connected to the AVR with cables. The Samsung TV is connected to the AVR via ARC HDMI. Now I would like to transmit the TV sound in another room parallel to the 5 speakers. Which AVR / AMP do I need and is it even possible?
Any idea if the S2 app will receive an update any time soon? Looks a bit dull and stuffed right now
Having recently obtained an Apple Watch, I found it surprising that there was no official Sonos control application tailored for this device. Considering SONOS's emphasis on connectivity via Wi-Fi, the absence of such an app seemed unexpected. Personally, I prefer relying on official apps rather than third-party solutions. I eagerly await your feedback on this matter.
Hi everybody,I'm new to Sonos systems and I'm planning to buy 2 Sonos Amps for my store. I want each Amp to play different music (each area will play a different type of music) and control both via PC App (so that someone else can control it for me when I'm not there). How can I set up and control both as mentioned above? Please help, I really appreciate everyone's advice.
I’m looking to create a Sonos sound system for my large open space area: living + dining + kitchen. The main purpose we want to use the system for is listening to music and occasionally movies. The main area where we want the sound to excel is the living area, on the couch, but we also want good sound quality in the dining area. Sound quality in the kitchen I believe is not so important (correct me if I’m wrong) because you have noise when you’re cooking anyway, so just hearing the music is enough.Since we’re not watching movies too often, we think we don’t need a Sonos Arc, but I might be wrong. We’ve been impressed with the sound quality of Era 300, but we’re not sure how to place the speakers for optimal sound quality:We were thinking about mounting 2 Era 300 on the walls on the left and on the right of the dining table, swiveled towards the couch. My main concerns are the angle and the distance which is over 3 meters (10ft). Would placing 2 Era 300 on the TV wall be a good idea? Ot
Hello,This is my first time investing in speakers and I am looking for recommendations for setup. I have a 65 inch LG TV in my living room and the distance between the screen and the sofa where I usually watch TV is 137 inches. This is an apartment and my living room is open with kitchen. The whole dimensions for the living room including kitchen should be 820 cm length and 462 breadth. In terms of cost, I want to limit it to 1000 euros as I will eventually move out of this apartment for a big home. Here are the two setups I am considering:Beam Gen 2 with 2 Era 100’s Standalone ArcWhich setup would be best for my setup ? I have heard that beam gen 2 is only good for TV’s up to 55 inch ? But on the other hand some articles suggest beam 2 with 2 era 100’s provide better value for money and sound profile. Can someone help a noob out ?
When i want to connect move via airplay it requires password. How can I reset or delete? thanks
Hi All I’m new here. I recently bought an LG 65 Oled TV, now originally I had an LG led 65, and worked perfectly well linking up with my Sonos playbar, sub woofer and 2 ones, all working well.It was linked via optical lead, and now the same set up on the Oled. Now I have no sound out of the Sonos, just the TV. I can play Spotify through the Sonos, but for some reason I can’t get sound from my Sonos system.
Bonjour J'ai vu que sonos vendait 2 platines vinyle Quelle est la différence entre la T1 et la projectMerci Moderator edit:Google Translate-Good morningI saw that Sonos was selling 2 vinyl turntablesWhat is the difference between T1 and projectThanks
I have a family account. The primary family account is logged into the sonos. Account 1.When any of the other family accounts (account 2) start to play music on their own device the sonos cuts out.Originally I thought it was because both family accounts were added to the sonos, but I've now ensured the sonos only has 1 and the other account is on a device. Surely it's possible to use sonos with a family account without everyone else with family accounts being blocked?
Why isn’t this issue resolved? And if it is, what is the actual solution? For a couple years since owning the Arc and all the other prime Sonos Speakers & Sub, everything worked fine. Now, the sound when coming through the TV, will randomly go to near silent for 5-seconds at a time, then resume normal output. My brother has the exact same issue, suddenly- so this isn’t a personal problem - and this problem is all over this troubleshooting website. Why isn’t there a definitive common solution for a very well defined Sonos problem. My “Vizio” (yeah, Vizio) surround system in my bedroom has zero issues. What the heck? Just sayinThank you
Good Evening to all forum-users👋 I’m living with my granny and got my own small bedroom upstairs.I allready got a Ray and for radio-listening i got a Roam SL on my bedside table.. and an 32” LG smart-tv is coming tomorrow. The room is small with full height sealing in half the room, other half dropping down towards the head-side of my bed.I was wondering…and i’m on a kind of budget. Like i don’t gonna add a Gen sub(or in desperate need of a sub anyway)….if not i’ll come across a really cheep used one of course. I think the Ray got enough bass as it is.I have a pair of extra Era 100 at home, but then i need to wall-mount them…ain’t got the mounts and i only fancy purcase the orginal Sonos one’s. The Era’s can i place on the wall behind my bed,but i allso thinking of getting the Ikea Picture Frame. But they need to be mounted on the side walls so they will be playing toward eachother.I’m not gonna watch a lot of movies, just Youtube and some music during night-time.I’m open for your thought
Hi!I am not sure where the issue lies, but I would really appreciate some help, as I am losing my sanity here. :) Here is my setup:1. Apple TV 4K, 1st gen2. Feintech VAX04101 eARC Pass Switch (video input set to 2nd HDMI (the Apple TV), audio set to Auto, eARC switch ON)3. Sonos Beam 2nd gen + Sonos Sub Mini4. Philips 55PUS6482 TV (has HDMI ARC, but not eARC, hence Feintech VAX04101)Now the issue is the following, which only started to happen recently, and I have no clue why. In the Apple TV, I have set audio out to Auto, and Atmos enabled. We first noticed that the Netflix shows does not have any dialogue for most trailers or even the shows if started. I also use Infuse to stream some stuff from my PC, and those (e.g. Blade Runner 2048), does also not have some of the dialogue. I suppose the ones that would be the rear speakers, but I don't have any additional speakers (I only have the Beam 2nd gen soundbard and the Sub Mini). If I switch manually on the Apple TV to 5.1 and Atmos is of
I have just ordered a Sonos Era100.with the intention of eventually buying another later for a stereo sets up, and connecting a cd player to them to play all my CD’s. I also have a large Mp3 and Flac music collection on the computer, can I play these through the Era 100 via the era Jack socket connection in the meantime.
I am fairly new to multi channel music but enjoying my use of the Sonos Arc and Era 300.As I read other forums I note that some people state that their equipment can tell them how the music is being delivered. For instance 7.1.2, 5,1.0 etc There may be more info as well like modulation etc. It would be nice if I could see this info so I can learn more about what I am listening to Is there a way to obtain this info?I have looked around the Sonos app but not found anything TIA Steve
I have had trouble getting my Sonos system to work for the past few months, since installing an Eero WiFi system, and I wanted to share what I learned so that I help others avoid the headaches and hassle. The problem: After installing a network of Eero WiFi devices (three eero Pro devices and one eero Beacon extender), my Sonos system stopped working reliably (would not connect, drop devices, etc.). I tried restarting, reinstalling units, etc., etc., without success. The solution: Over the past two weeks, I have read a number of posts on this Sonos support site that helped me get the system working again today. Here is what I did and some comments on my system: Enabled "Bridge Mode" on our Xfinity Wireless Gateway device -- got instructions on how to do so on the Comcast website (need to log in from your internet browser and follow a few steps) Connected the eero Pro device that was indicated as the "gateway" (was the only device that my eero app showed as being the "gateway") w
I do not want surround sound. I want great quality audio found on Sonos app. My living room/dining room is 30 x15, Does one speaker fill my space adequately or do I need two?Is the 100 sufficient or should I purchase the 300.
I had one Era300 speakers for past 6 months. Never used the Sonos App. Worked great. Decided to enhance the sound experience and bought another one last week. To pair the speakers had to use the Sonos App, it all seemed to work perfectly BUT since then it's been nothing but an annoyance! Sound switches from left to right, sometimes doesn't play any sound at all, sometimes can't even connect. Both speakers are great when on the rare occassion it works properly 2-3 minutes then switches from speaker to speaker again.I've been reading about complications with people trying to connect to other devices and wifi. Read about factory reset and all the info when it helps and when it doesn't. My golly so many issues and complications, what happened to plug in and play?I just want two speakers that work consistently but these Sonos App seems to be having handshaking problems between wifi, speakers and the Sonos App itself. A shame the Sonos App complications makes a great product into an intense

This topic is discussed four months ago for new feature request. Not sure if any update now as I came across the same issue.Previously, I used to apple tv system with 4-6 homepod mini speakers in multiple locations, i could volume up/down all speakers by one tv/chromecast/apple tv remote at the same time. After upgrade to Sonos system, the tv/ chromecast remote now can only control soundbar & surround speakers but not the others, it’s quite inconvenient that i need to open apps everytime to adjust volume if i go to somewhere for while and again after i return.Hopefully, Sonos can upgrade the system like Apple TV to let user control all speakers by one remote.
*** Update - its connected *** Hello,I have been experiencing continuous drop outs when trying to listen to my Sonos Roam. I read that I needed to connect to 2.4 instead of 5g. So I reset it while I temporarily disabled the 5g band. How do I now reconnect it to my WIFI? I’ve reconnected my iPhone to WIFI so it's (presumably on 2.4). Opened the SONOS app which helpfully tells me that the roam is not found and to ensure it's connected to WIFI. But that is what I am trying to do.How do I get the thing back onto my WIFI?The LED on the Roam is flashing green.
I am importing my music library from an external hard drive. For some reason, it maxes out and I get a message to clear or delete playlists. I then realized that the system is creating an automatic imported playlist on SOME of my imported library - but not all. I think SONOS is reading the playlist tunes and double counting the songs and then it creates the limit of items i can add. One - why is this happening. I called and spoke to a SONOS rep and was given some crap about iTunes. This is not an iTunes issue. iTunes isn’t even loaded on my laptop and this is music i downloaded or burned over the years. two - can i create more than one library to see if this can be avoided? I have most of my music transferred but it caps out for what I believe is this imported playlist issue
