why can’t alarm music be selected from sonos favorites??? 

I am currently looking to purchase a Sonos 5 speaker for my turntable. I want it to stream most of the time, but I also want it to be ready to play records at a moment's notice without changing the setup. I know it can do both, but I’m not sure if I have to constantly go into the app and select/deselect the "line-in" option every time I switch from streaming to "line-in" and back again? It’s a bit of a deal breaker if it doesn’t know how to handle switching on its own, as I won’t be the only one using the speaker on a regular basis. A much less important question... As I plan for future upgrades, I’m wondering if you can pair a sub-mini to a five (or set of fives) and an Arc at the same time. Not to play at the same time, obviously, but could one sub switch back and forth between the set-up that is used for home theater and the other set-up that is used for playing vinyl?

I purchased a Sonos Beam and two One SLs last week. I noticed that the backlight is not illuminated on the volume up/down and play/pause buttons. I have verified on the Hardware>Touch Controls setting is enabled on all 3 speakers in the Sonos app (iphone). I have also checked that all speakers are up to date with the latest software and rebooted each speaker.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hardware/Software:    Windows 11 with all updates installed, S1 controller, Sonos ZP80, Buffalo Linkstation live 1TB NAS Network Profile Type: Private (VPN via high-speed Wi-Fi - No ethernet access to router) Connectivity:              ZP80 connects to my VPN via Wi-Fi and the two ports from the ZP80 run ethernet cables to a desktop mini and NAS I was able to play music from my NAS, with the above connectivity till about Sept/Oct 2022, when a windows 11 update caused the NAS to disappear.  This has now been fixed and I'm once again able to see my ancient 2010 Buffalo Linkstation Live (LS-CHL-V2 series) NAS.  Advanced sharing settings and SMB settings under windows features have all been checked by Sonos and all look fine and I’ve also posted screen grabs below. When I try and add my NAS share in the S1 Controller I get the following error:S1 -> Manage tab -> Music Library Settings -> Add -> Networked device -> Browse and select NAS and share from Network tab -> OK -&g

Is anyone else unable to play BBC radio via Alexa assistant on their Sonos speakers? It keeps asking me to link my BBC sounds account and I've tried disabling and enabling it again and again and no improvement. 

Just tried to use Trueplay Tuning on my Arc system and I got the message regarding it is not yet supported on this iPhone. I have the iPhone 14 Pro. I assume a software update will be coming soon for Sonos similar to what happened with the iPhone 12.  Less of a question and more of a PSA

I have music and audio books stored on my NAS.  I previously ran a Samba docker container so I could share this content with my S1 system and SMB 1.0.  Though I didn’t use it a ton so it may have been broken then; not sure.  I just upgraded to S2.  I can index my Audio Books and Music folders with Sonos directly on the NAS (not the docker container) but only some books play back; others consistently fail.  Not sure why.  Anybody know of limits of file size?  These are all in the same “Audio Books” folder.  The files that work are smaller (200mb or so) but small files have also failed.  I can access that share with the same user account Sonos uses and copy the file so I don’t think it is a permissions issue. Separately, I run Owntone on my network (iTunes server).  But apparently it doesn’t support DLNA.I have Plex but am hesitant to enable Remote Access.What is the best way to expose my Audio Books and Music to Sonos?Any good docker containers of DLNA servers that I could run that Sono

Sonos S2 system.  Latest updates.  Just deleted and re-added Plex; no change.  Plex software is current.  Running Ubiquiti Unifi system for network gear.I can see my library, and for the most part, play music files from Plex.When I try to play much larger m4b audiobooks, I see a whole bunch of ranged gets (with 200 status code) of 6144 bytes in length (For a 200+MB file) and then it eventually fails and I can’t play back the book.  Each of these gets is from a different source port on my Sonos, which I think is excessive.I do have Remote Access for Plex enabled but do not have any ports published (for Plex or anything else).Any idea what is going on and what I should do here?  I’d like to be able to play Audiobooks through Plex on my Sonos.Thanks 

I am working with the low voltage installer currently on a plan for speaker placement. I will be putting in ceiling speakers in various places, but the one area I need some clarification on is the main living room.My planned setup is as follows:TV, Arc Soundbar, Sub and x2 Wall Speakers connected to a Sonos Amp as surroundCurrently on the plan all speaker wiring is home run back to a panel in the basement. I had planned to put multiple sonos amps in that location wired to ethernet. Can I do this with the TV surrounds as well? It is unclear to me if they need to be physically connected to the TV/Arc or if being on the same network will allow me to pair them up as surrounds. This obviously changes where I would home run that speaker pair to.Thanks!

I just got my Sonos Move and I can connect using my Android via WIFI but I am unable to connect using my Mac via WIFI, and I would like to be able to listen to Apple Music from my Mac

Sonos Move won’t charge and orange light remains on constantly.  I am unable to turn off/reset either.Am I ok to remove battery whilst orange light remains on?

V14.20 two instances dropouts/missing sub&surrounds since setting it up. One happend after trueplay retuning when I was gonna use the system later in the evening the surrounds were missing. Today the surrounds and sub were missing. Nothing else has happend with the router, I have different SSIDs and tons of IoT devices that report no issues. Got Beam gen 2, 2 Play:1s and a Sub mini. No mesh. Wifi6 enabled asus router. Connected to LG CX55 via eARC. Connected the beam on ethernet on the last dropout. Seemingly this is the solution for the “wireless” system. (And this time I didn’t have to reset the surrounds, just a reboot of them, the sub and the router.)

Hey guys!I am moving to a new place and in my head I am planning how and where to setup my TV and my Sonos Gear (Sonos Arc, Sub, One surrounds).The living room is quite large, has a lot of big windows, angled ceilings and therefore a lack of opportunities where to place the TV with the Sonos system. I highlighted the area in the photo where TV is supposed to be mounted. (please note that all the furniture in the photo will be replaced.)I am concerned that the sound is going to be compromised due to the rooms setup. So I would appreciate some suggestions and opinions on this matter. Thank you and cheers!

So, there were not any explicit answers that I could find. I found it when I prayed about it.So:On the Firestick: Home>Settings>Equipment Control>You my have to enter your PIN>Manage Equipment>Add Equipment>Scroll Down to Soundbar>Select Sonos.It walks you through the rest. It took about five minutes.

Is anyone else having issues with the system and upgrade tab on the website?   I keep getting blank screens and it never loads or http error 502.   This has been for two weeks.   Unfortunately no help from Sonos support.   I have followed troubleshooting for my end but feel it is on sonos end.

Last year I installed a Sonos Port in my house which is connected to a home speaker system. Recently, I have purchased a Dj mixer, more specifically the Allen & Heath Xone 23C which I use with a pair of CD Players, the Pioneer XDJ 700’s, and I am wondering if there is anyway to connect those to the Sonos Port so that I could play music through the home speakers? I attached pictures below showing the ports on both the Xone 23C and the XDJ 700's. 

Hi,I currently have a Beam Gen 1 set up with two IKEA Symfonisk bookshelf speakers as my surround sound system. I have just upgraded my TV and wanted to upgrade my sound system as well. So I bought a used Play 5 Gen 1 to utilize the trade up offer. And now I have my eyes on a used Sonos package with an Arc, Sub Gen 3 and One. I was wondering if I could downgrade the Beam Gen 1 to the S1 app to pair it with the Play 5 Gen 1 and One and then play with the rest of the S2 system over AirPlay? Either through Spotify or Apple Music. Worst case Youtube. 

Hi, I’m running Sonos 2 v12.1 on Pixel 4a (though I had this same issue on Pixel 2).When I browse “On this Mobile Device” my music appears just fine under Albums, Songs, and Playlists. However, there’s no discernible sort order of Artists and my Genres are all empty. I’d appreciate some thoughts on how to resolve these. I’d like Artists in alphabetical order (or for someone to at least tell me what the sort order is) and for Genre to be populated. Thanks so much!Artists - what order?eh? 

Few years ago many users suggested to add the option to make presets for the sound settings on the app and its still didnt happened. Can i ask you pleeeeease to make presets for the whole EQ settings (10 slots to customize) such as for music we will be able set height levels to +4 and the Loudness on etc. And just by pressing on ‘music’ for example, it will change all the settings. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to use my current receiver and phonograph to play vinyl records through Arc?

I have an Arc and a pair of Fives in the same room. I use the Arc for the TV and the Fives for music (the Arc and Fives aren’t paired with each other and i don’t use them at the same time for TV or music).Question: Could I pair the Sub Mini with the Arc so that I get the bass when watching TV and also pair with the Fives for listening to music?
