In our living room we have a Beam (Hard wired) and 2 Play:1’s (wireless) as a stereo pair.Kitchen: 2x One’s (wireless) as a stereo pair.Dining Room: 2x One’s (wireless) as a stereo pair.Downstairs Bathroom: 2x Roams. This has all worked perfectly for over a year. All 3 zones have perfect WiFi coverage.Today I tried to add 2x One SL’s, 2x Sub Gen 3’s and an Arc to our media room (converted garage)Our WiFi coverage works literally half way into this room, the rear ones were picked straight away as they are closer to the router but adding the arc and subs took forever of hitting retry, and rebooting I eventually realised it was because of the WiFi, I added a hardwired WiFi access point with a different SSID and tried to add the new stuff to the new network, after over an hour failing I disconnected the access point and hardwired all the new stuff, rebooted it and one by one (totally stupid) disabled WiFi and now everything but 1 sub works.I can factory reset it and it shows up for a few mi
After updating to version 14.12, I re-tuned the trueplay tuning, the result is that the subwoofer sound is small, position, sub audio is 0, but the volume is low. I'm using a Gen 3 sub woofer.Hopefully sonos will fix this bug soon thank you
Anyone got any idea how you link a Ray and a One to make a system?I have 1 One and a Ray in the living room which I’m trying to link together to get a surround sound type system but struggling.I have other One’s throughout the house but I don’t want to add them to this system. As soon as I don’t want to select those other One’s I can’t seem to build a system. thanks
Yesterday (Nov 2), Sonos updated the S1 Controller app for iOS and iPadOS to version 11.6.1. These installed and work fine.At the same time my Mac, which is running S1 Controller for Mac version 11.5, indicated that there was an update available. When trying to run this update (which is named Sonos_57.13-34140.dmg and not 11.6 something), it crashed and failed.Has anyone else had this problem?
I am connected to a Vizio 65” with ethernet cable connected to Arc and sub with move speaker. WiFi is located in the same room. While watching tv, the sound comes out of Arc perfect, does not cut out. However, the move speaker sound is “pulsing”. it literally cuts in/out about every second or two. What am i doing wrong?
I would buy the port if it had a digital HD tuner built in and could whole stream content to other devices on the sonos echo system.
I see that Audible is not available for Sonos in Italy. Why is that, is there any plan to overcome the issue?I am a strong Audible user and is frustrating don't use it on my Sonos environment. Thanks!
Just setting up my new Sonos Roam that I bought for my daughter. I had wanted it so the she could play her music in her room in the evening without having to have her tablet. In trying to get it to work I find that it is extremely poor at finding any specific piece of music. It does not connect to Sonos playlists so cannot ask for a specific playlist. It does not connect to Spotify - which is probably about the most popular music service known to man or woman. It connects to Amazon Music - but cannot find “The Nutcracker” even though there are several albums of this name if I search for it.I say “Hey Sonos play radio four”. I get Dua Lipa - Hit List on Sonos Radio. I say “Hey Sonos play the song Borderline” - “Sorry I can’t find the song Borderline”.I say “Hey Sonos play the song Hotel California” - “Sorry I can’t find the song Hotel California”.Having tried several songs I have yet to find one that it can find.I would not recommend this to anybody in its current state.
Ho collegato il mio apparecchio al Bluetooth..non riesco però a vedere nulla nel mio Sonos
Hello. I have a Beam hooked up to my tv downstairs. I have two One SLs (surround) and mini Sub connected to the Beam group, and I use it for tv and music. I was thinking about getting a Five to connect to my turntable upstairs in the house. I am a bit confused about the extent to which I can use it with my existing products. If possible, I would like to be able to play the turntable upstairs on the Five by itself, upstairs and downstairs at the same time (on some or all of the existing speakers - not sure if the Beam is appropriate for this), and only downstairs. The Five would not need to support the tv. I was hoping I could just have two rooms set up (the existing tv room and the new turntable room upstairs) and create another grouping of them together and simply choose where to play the turntable. Are there issues here that I would need to consider, etc.? I have seen it suggested that I might need to only use the One SLs and mini Sub downstairs in conjunction with the Five. Thank yo
I’ve just moved into a new house and the previous owners had Sonos speakers installed throughout the house in the walls and ceilings. I think they are now legacy parts though and no longer work. I’d like to be able to upgrade them to currently supported parts. They had a ZP90 and a tower of Zoneplayer 120s installed in the cupboard under the stairs and I believe they are wired to the speakers installed in the ceilings of the various rooms around the house. What is the best way to upgrade them?
Sorry to be a pain…. I just can’t get my Sonos Library to add or play wav files. They are 16bit. Ripped at same source frequency as cd on Windows 11. Straight forward “Cyberlink Power 2 Go” Ripper.I use vlc as player on lap top & they are fine.Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I have the same issue a number of people have complained about many years ago but I can’t see a resolution to what seems like a very basic function of any system.I have a lot of music (tens of hours) in a playlist and would like to play through it all without repetition. However when switching to other inputs e.g. the TV, when I return it does not remember where it left off so you can only re-shuffle the queue or try and manually remember the last song, scroll through the list, find it and start from there which is not easy if you have 1000’s of songs. This has been mentioned by many others but no solution is offered. Surely it is a basic function of any music system to resume from the last played song in a playlist so assume there must be a way otherwise why would anybody who loves music buy this system?Threads on the same subject that are many years old and no solution has been offered
Hi team,I have an S1 system with a Sonos Bridge and 5 amplifiers connected to my own ceiling speakers. I am thinking of upgrading to S2. There does not appear to be a S2 bridge type of component on offer. What is the best S2 configuration to drive the exisiting speaker sets please? Am I to assume that each of the new S2 amps is also sort of a “bridge”? Do you still support a Sonos specific wireless network or do you rely on my own WiFi? Thank you very much for your support Dimitrios
I have a vintage stereo system with RCA jacks for input and output. A Yamaha CR 1020 receiver connected to a pair of JBL Century 100 speakers is what I want to hook up to the Sonos Port or other music streamer. I do not wish to upgrade any of my components, I have a Marantz 2270 still in the box as a backup. And the speakers work fine for my 68 old ears.I plan on using the RCA output of the Sonos Port to stream music to my current stereo system and using the Sonos Port RCA inputs from my system to power other Sonos speakers in other rooms of my home. I have the Sonos Port connected to my Stereo now and it sounds as good as my CD player and turntable. My question is what is the kHz and bitrate output to the RCA outputs on the Sonos Port? I think the digital outputs on the Sonos Port are 24-bit/44.1kHz. Does anybody know if the RCA outputs are the same?
Hi,Finally joined Sonos and got myself a Beam Gen2, One and SL. Setup for home theatre is all done, and I’m very happy on how things connect, app setup and integration with Apple HomeKit. As happy I can be… I’m missing bass, all I have is a great experience but I love my movies and missing that punch. Dilema here is, Sub mini or Sub Gen 3Small apartment with living room and open concept kitchen. I will never be able to use sound over mid volume as it’s an apartment, on that note… Sub mini or Gen 3?Thanks in advance :)
I have a Sonos beam, Sub Mini with two Sonos One SL. My Tv is an LG - 75" Class NanoCell 85 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV with a Firestick 4k Max. The beam is connected via eArc using a Rockfish 12’ 8k ultra high speed HDMI 2.1 cable. When I try to play content with Dolby Atmos on Disney+, Apple TV+ or HBO Max am only get Dolby Digital 5.1 output. No Atmos. Any tips to getting Dolby Atmos?
I cannot tell you how much I hate my Sonos Roam and I am beating myself up that I spent close to $200 for this miserable experience. The charge on it lasts one hour at most. Then it won’t play even when plugged in until it reaches a certain charge percentage. My old bluetooth Jambox works SO, MUCH. BETTER. Sonos Team: I have 6 Sonos One speakers wired in and they are wonderful. This Roam wireless option is a piece of crap.
It seems to be possible to play to (my) Sonos Setup without beeing physically accessing my WiFi nor being near to my home. So to make clear: I´m sure about that nobody externally is stearing Sonos via SONOS App.What I found out is that If you ever been connected to someones Sonos Speakers with Spotify (e.g. in a friends house and with the permission accessing the Wifi) you are able to play music on this Sonos from any point the world / internet. Is that correct? How could I limit this access to sonos. Or is there a way how to make visible who is playing music actually?
I’m using a Sonos One SL stereo pair with my Apple TV and it works great… until I change to an Apple TV game. Then all of the audio disappears.Does anyone know if it’s possible to use Airplay 2 for Apple TV game audio?
Hi alli just wanted to report my SONOS ARC literally makes a BOOM (explosion noise) during TV playback and then sounds stop. This never happened before. Only changing point is my system was unplugged from electricity for about a week while I was on trip, I came back today and turn my system on and after some tv playback that strange noise appears. See diagnostics number: 673888573
What should I do with Sonos Five gen 1 speakers ? I purchased new gen speakers and not sure what to do with the old ones
I’ve seen this topic before, but have never really seen any resolution. I have had my system for about a year, and almost every day I have to reset it. I have the Arc and two One SL for surrounds. The Surrounds disconnect on a daily basis. Now the sub has started doing it as well, and sometimes even the arc. I will open the app and it can’t find anything in my system. I unplug everything, and then it reconnects like nothing ever happened. But it happens every day, and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Does anyone know? Thanks!
I work at a school with a sever and APs all over. I have a Sonos 1 in the main office, the lounge, and 2 in the cafe. If I group lounge and main office together they work or just the two in cafe. If I group all 4 together to play they do not work. Is it because they are on different APs (same network)? Is there a way to make this work or no? Also I have it on the student Wi-Fi because it doesn’t require a user name and password. I should have it on staff wifi but it requires username and password and I don’t think you can do that with sonos sadly.
How can I de-link the volume on my sonos speakers from my Regular wired speakers which I use via Sonos Port?Tks in advance for your help
