If all I have is the Sonos Move and the Port, I could stream CD player and Turntable (with pre-amp) to the Move without an amplifier/receiver, correct? Your thoughts.
Hi everyone,I’m wondering if I should set up beam + sub + 5’s as surrounds on my TV OR whether I should have beam just on TV then have separate ‘music’ setup with stereo paired 5’s + sub. I listen mostly to music and I feel the latter option is the best use of the 5’s and subs for music as they’re stereo paired vs the first configuration where the 5’s are not stereo paired… What does everyone think?
Puedo conectar trueplay al conjunto de altavoces sonos Ray, sub mini y dos one SL
Is SONOS working on a turntable that will connect to a SONOS Amp? (A turntable not named Victrola)
I want to add Pro Ject turntable to my existing home theatre set up. Play bar, play 1s and sub.Once I connect via amp, port or play 5 etc. will the sound broadcast over all speakers? or just one?
I’m looking for a consolidated tutorial, or instructions for setting up a network music library accessible by Sonos devices. Something that will at least cover the basic requirements, system compatibility, etc.I know this is a wide open topic, and dependent on OS and hardware, but I find myself starting from scratch, searching through other’s mistakes and questions, trying to solve problems that should be basic knowledge.
Is there a way to create a playlist from your PC?I can do it from my android app ok on my phone but not on my PC which is weird
I can’t connect Spotify to my Sonos system
What’s the firmware needed run existing products on S2
Would be great on the desktop controller if we could click on the now playing artist / album / track artwork to make it full screen. At the moment you just get a slightly larger pointless thumbnail on the mini player, it would be great if this could go fullscreen.I understand that the image is square in shape so wouldn’t be able to stretch to fit to a rectangular screen, but a larger image against a solid colour backround (white or black) would give the desktop app a great look when music is playing. Just like the mobile app but landscape for a desktop screen. Surely a possibility in 2022?
Help please:I’ve just purchased a Beam Gen1 so I can finally use some Play 1s as home theatre setup, Beam and play1s are set up and playing music nicely in the room.I have now placed an Amazon Basics Audio Extractor between MacBook and BenQ W2000 projector and then the Sonos Optic to HDMI adaptor connected to the Optic port of the Audio Extractor, HDMI cable then runs to to the Beam mounted above the projected screen. However the sound still goes to the projector instead of the Beam. Everything has power Reviews on the Amazon Basics Audio Extractor suggest it should work: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-Audio-Stereo-Extractor-Converter/dp/B07KRWYN4R/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=amazon+basics+hdmi+audio+extractor&qid=1670661139&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1 Am I missing something?
Hey guys,While I have Sonos Beam gen2 connected with LG via HDMI (eARC) I can’t select any other output device e.g. bluetooth headphones. I can technically select it in TV menu for like 5 seconds, and then output switched back to HDMI (eARC). Is it a bug or feature? Thanks in advance!
I bought 4 units of white Sonos One SL and had them shipped to Singapore by a forwarder. I received them after 10 days only to be surprised by the colour. I got them in black instead. I am puzzled how a big company like Sonos can make a mistake like this. Now I’m not sure what my options are. They have an exclusive distributor in Singapore but I do not know if they would do an exchange for Sonos. Any Sonos staff able to advise me?
I recently moved into an home that has wiring and in ceiling speakers for a multi room audio system. I’d like to be able to stream music to these speakers without going to the cabinet to turn on a receiver, etc. I was thinking a Sonos Amp looked like a good option, but I'm far from a home audio expert so i’m hoping to get recommendations from those that know. Below are the existing components the home has, would a Sonos amp have enough power to play music on both the main floor and the basement speakers? My fear is buying a Sonos amp which isnt cheap and then finding out it doesnt have the necessary power - then I’m stuck. Any help is appreciated!2 - Sonance VP60R speakers - Main Floor1 - 100 Watt Slider Volume Control, Impedance Matching - Main Floor2 - Sonance VP60R speakers - Basement1 - 100 Watt Slider Volume Control, Impedance Matching - BasementWired back to a mechanical room where there is a Episode EA-MR-HUB-1x8 distribution hub.
hello! I have a Samsung television and a xiaomi projector in the same room. Is there an option to connect the two devices to the same Sonos arc?
I want to setup an Atmos home theater (replacing existing setup). But I also have a stereo set of speakers in the kitchen ceiling. I’d like to be able to use these as either/or or simultaneous - for TV and music streaming. To complicate it a bit, I also have an analog turntable that I would like to have multiroom functionality as well.If I use an ARC+SL1s+Sub for HT and add a single AMP to both drive the kitchen speakers AND power the turntable, will that work? Thanks!
Hi,I don’t know for how long this feature has been removed, but it now seems impossible to set an Apple music local radio station (I’m talking about “legacy” radio stations, not the ones from Apple) as an alarm anymore. Radio stations just don’t show up in the “Alarm” menus.I read somewhere about a workaround (adding the radio as a favourite, then it would show up in “My Sonos” section of the alarm menu) but it doesn’t work anymore as radios are simply removed from the “my sonos” list in this particular menu.Sonos support confirmed the regression but was not able to provide a target date for resolution.Any suggestion? I know I could stream from Sonos Radio (which is correctly displayed in the alarm menu btw) but it is buggy (same ad repeating several times each time the alarm is fired up). Thanks!
Hi Sonos creators,As u may know I do have the whole sonos collection in order to play movies at its highest level…...BUT…..Is it possible that Sonos will work someday with Dolby Atmos company in L.A. on a possibility of adding more units and upgrades in order to run this new sound system as good as those 11.2 domestics home theater sound systems from today. For instance:1- using the arc soundbar at a lower center and another one above the television, using the sonos five for the lower fronts, two sonos ones for higher fronts….and same thing for the sides and the rears?Presently I have the arc soundbar, a pair of Sonos Five for surrounds and 2 subs (1front and 1 rear), of course it sounds real good….BUT…….some’s really missing…….the heights and the sides !!!…..I know, would cost a fortune to add all those units but damn it’s sound terrific wooffff……...By the way nice design….very small units for their power capacities…...very high end components…..see I’m not even using my kit in my ow
I just bought a sonos beam gen 2 and a denon avr-S760H receiver. How do I connect my Tv (TCL) and blue ray player (SONY) to use both of them? The only speaker I want to use is the Beam. Should I plug in the AVR to the TV’s hdmi-arc but then how do I connect the Beam? Do I connect Beam directly with the TV’s optical audio output? Or I connect the Beam with the receiver’s somehow? Thx.
Every year I bring my Sonos Play:3 speakers in off my home deck and winter them in my office by adding them to my “work” system. This year when I try to add a Play:3 to my “Work” system, the Sonos 1 app is making me upgrade to Sonos 2 app (see picture) . There is no choice about it. The Sonos 1 app forces you to update to the Sonos 2 app. I tried updating to the Sonos 2 app on my iPad. It sees the old “Work” system but will not allow me add any new products to that system. I’m bummed because this is something I’ve done many times without issue previously on the Sonos 1 appI have read about updating in the chats and they say, Devices that are S1 Compatible only will only work on S1 (it’s in the label). Newly designed devices (currently Arc, Five, Sub gen 3) will only work on S2.My equipment (20+ sonos products) is older S1 and I want to continue to use the S1 app to add and subtract speakers from my different Sonos systems. Is there a workaround? Thanks.
Hi,Hoe van I get my New Sonos One SL werking wint my Sonos S1 system? Thanks, Bertus
I have a Sonos arc with Sub Gen 3 and two One SL’s for surround. I have my tv setup to pass through sound to sound bar via eArc. What settings should I choose for the PS5 sound?Device type - AV receiver 5.1 or Sound bar? Also for sound format - Linear PCM or Dolby or Dolby DTS. Note that I only use it for gaming so whichever settings are best for thatI get conflicting opinions online so I’m not sure which settings are best.
I updated the S1 app on my iPod Touch this morning, to version 11.6.1, and now when I try to launch it, the splash screen displays for a few seconds and then it quits. This is a 7th gen iPod Touch that had been running iOS 15.6.1. I noticed there was an iOS update and updated it to 15.7.1: same result. Is anyone else seeing this?
hi there, new member of Sonos fam. I have about 80+ gigs of music stored on iCloud. is there a way to access this to be played in Sonos app? can someone explain in detail how to make this happen if possible? or workarounds if not possible? thank you so much!
I currently have two in ceiling architectural speakers connected to a Sonos Amp in our master bedroom. I have a pre-wire for a speaker in master bathroom ceiling. What are my options for connecting that speaker to the Sonos Amp? is there a certain speaker I need to purchase? Would prefer to have my master bedroom speakers as one left and one right if possible. Thank you.
