Hello, I have now a beam gen2 with a sony bravia tv.

I outputting the sound via earc (passtrought). No issue except with my Apple Tv and PS5 : the sound is muffled and not loud enought (LPCM 5.1) :

  • on PS5 when a i play game (pcm priority, av amplifier 5.1)
  • on Apple TV when i play another thing that atmos (ex lcpm 5.1 transcoded by apple , mycanal, netflix, vlc)

It’s just a little bit annoying.

It is normal for LPCM audio to not be as loud as other audio formats. But be sure the TV is set to these settings:

eARC: Auto

Digital Audio Out: Auto 1

Dolby Digital Plus Output: Dolby Digital Plus

Pass Through Mode: Auto

I’ve setup exactly this configuration .

Ok for your answer but lpcm is just not useable except if i put the sound near max volume for apple tv , it’s not like a feature but a bug or a mis implementation.
