If your saved SoundCloud tracks are suddenly refusing to play, you aren’t alone! Here is a quick heads-up on what’s going on and how to easily fix it.The IssueSoundCloud rolled out some backend system updates on Wednesday, March 11th. Because of these changes, any SoundCloud tracks you saved to your Sonos Playlists or Sonos Favorites before that update are now pointing to broken, outdated links. If you are running into this, you’ll likely see generic error messages in the Sonos app, such as:“Could not play [name of song]. Try again.” “Failed to play content. Try again.”The FixThe good news is that your music isn’t gone; you just need to refresh the links. Here is the workaround:Delete the affected track(s) or playlist from your Sonos Favorites or Sonos Playlist. Search for the content again in the Sonos app. Re-add it to your favorites or playlist. It is a bit of a manual process to recreate them, but doing this will update the links and get your music streaming smoothly again.

This issue has been driving me INSANE for weeks and finally I found the answer on YouTube: Simply hold the input and volume down button on your Apple TV 4K remote for about 5 seconds and 🪄🧙♂️ …issue fixed!!!! Your Apple Remote will now control your Sonos sound bar volume again.
I just got a Sonos Ace and I’m trying to use it with my DAC but the supplied 3.5mm cable is too short. Any of you find a third party usb-c to 3.5mm cable that works with the Ace? Or even a usb-c to 3.5mm dongle/adapter that work with the Ace? I’ve tried two different third party usb-c to 3.5mm cables and doesn’t seem to work. Thank you
HelloThis is written not to discourage you from asking questions regarding Sonos speakers of any type. To the contrary it’s written to encourage you think about your question; then ask yourself if it’s one that will get an unbiased answer versus subjective opinions. Let’s begin...Since the release of the Sonos Era 300 and Era 100 series the question is asked “are they worth an upgrade from A Play:1, Sonos One/SL series and/or a Play:3 (*)”. You might notice that I sequenced the first three in a row and left the Play:3 last. I did that purposely by design. The transition from the Play:1 to the One series was mostly cosmetic along with the introduction of the soft touch controls. Sound characteristics did not change to a degree that would warrant an upgrade. Most would need the ears of a canine to perceive a noticeable difference. 😊 Expansion of the internal memory in the Sonos One/SL (Gen2) for future software enhancements was the driver to seriously consider upgrading. Fast forward to
Need to do an international travel with 1 stop. What are the recommendations for Move 2? Should I take it in my Carry-on or check it in? Is it allowed in a checked baggage? And if I do carry with me, any issues with scanners in the US and also during the change of plane? It’s also fairly heavy (7 pounds) so making sure I do the right thing
Hello,Obviously a subjective decision but I am remodelling a TV area…Current have a Sonos Amp driving two “old but gold” floorstanders (AE Aegis Evo 3, about 20 years old) in a large open plan room in front of TV. Have two One rears paired for a 4.0 setup. Sofa in the middle in a reference “square” setup if that makes sense. Surround is limited but decent for me given my usage.Sound quality is good but floorstanders have slightly different character vs the other Truplay’d Sonos speakers in the larger open room as these are not signature matched. I know it’s there but not enough to annoy me. I care most about music. Area itself is for TV but my listening is about 80/20 Music/TV.Atmos etc would be nice for the TV but not at the expense of music which is why I have kept the floorstanders so long.Weighing up options for re-modelling the area (moving to LG G2 77” wall mounted TV, yes I have money to burn), so soliciting the opinions of the learned community here please on the 3 main audio o
Hi all. I have a Sonos Play: 1 system at my house. I recently purchased a new router (a Netgear Nighthawk C7000), and I am having trouble getting my Sonos to connect. I follow all the steps on the Sonos app, and at the end I get an error message saying there was a problem trying to connect. No other information is given. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Hi, i have a question regarding my Ikea x Sonos Symfonisk Wifi speaker. Im planning to sell it to a friend because i preordered the new Sonos Roam. What steps i should take to factory reset and wipe all my data from the Device? Also is there anything additional i need to do than just factory resetting the device? Thank you 😊
Yes, I realize that this has been asked before, but with macOS losing Rosetta 2 with macOS 28, coming out in 2027, is there any chance of the desktop Sonos app being ported to Apple silicon?I primarily use the macOS app, and am not really looking forward to relying on the web app, since I live in an area with poor internet availability.
Hi all again,Reading some threads with conflicting information.Looking to buy beam 2 or arc ultra but I only require low bass (generally) and volume about 25%.Can people advise if arc ultra does not work optimally at this low volume and bass? Also would beam 2 shine instead and be the leader?Just looking for best experiences at low volume. Cheers
I've been a Sonos user for years (Play:1s, Beam, Move) and an Android developer on the side.I wanted to share a project I recently launched — Sonos Widget Plus, an Android home-screenwidget for controlling Sonos speakers.Sharing here in case it's useful to other Android users on this forum. Disclosure: I'm thedeveloper.**What it does:**- Play / pause / skip and volume control from your home screen- Switch which Sonos room the widget controls with a tap- Group multiple rooms into a playback group- Pin up to 5 Spotify playlists or Sonos favourites for one-tap playback- Fully customisable look (colours and transparency)- Two widget sizes (4x2 and 4x3)**How it connects to Sonos:**It uses the local UPnP protocol over Wi-Fi that Sonos speakers already expose. That means:- No Sonos account needed- No cloud service in the middle- Works whether the music comes from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal, TuneIn, or line-in- Runs entirely on your local network**Requirements:**- Android 8.0 or later
Hi all. Listening to demos only. I have not had the chance to play with the EQ.Tempted to get the Ultra but when listening, all content sounds cinematic/theatrical. Will ve using for general tv (documentaries, soaps, news) gaming and movies. For general tv the cinematic feel can be overkill. I know you can play with the settings. But from user review can you get the bar to sound natural like normal tv quality (obviously better than tv) but normsl sounds if that makes sense? If so how close to normal can you get? Thanks
Has anyone fiddled with the Apple Shortcuts automations for Sonos? I created an automation to play every Sonos Room. I know I could have just said “Hey Sonos. Play Everywhere”, but using that option plays the Rooms at whatever volume they were last set at. The beauty using the Apple Shortcuts app is you can preset a volume for each room. Unfortunately when I looked at what music can be played the choices were only radio stations in the Favorites list. Has anyone been able to access Sonos Playlists as well as Radio stations?
I am looking to improve my current Sonos setup; I use the current setup within my games room for entertainment so I can stream music from YouTube, or Apple Music (I appreciate that the quality is dependent on the streaming service and the subscription/configuration).I currently have an Arc sound bar below my TV which is mounted on the wall and a Sonos amp driving two 8 inch ceiling speakers towards the rear of the room. I also have a Sonos subwoofer to one-side.I’ve been looking at the Sonos Era 100, or 300 although I don’t have an ideal place to position this speaker and not sure if I need Dolby Atmos! The other option that I was considering was the Sonos Five and placing them each side of the TV about 2 meters away. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions to improve and optimise the sound. I don’t use the room for movies generally, so I suppose the sound that I’m looking for is a more hi-fi effect than surround sound.I do have a pair of Sonos Play 1 that I could move from
Current alarm clock settings:- Select a "room"- Select "Include grouped rooms" I would appreciate it if:- Multiple rooms could be selected individually- A group could be selected that is already defined in the settings Room groupings change throughout the day, so it's necessary to check each evening whether the desired rooms are grouped so that the alarm will sound there. With these simple options as an extension, the desired rooms or group for the alarm can be defined precisely and individually. Alarm clock task for the development team:- Multiple room selection- Select group option* Additional task: Individual setting of the turn-on volume of the grouped speakers
I have been waiting since the release of the new feature to disable SonosNet for the toggle to appear in my app. No luck so far, but when I check in play.sonos.com, in System Details, besides the S2 speakers, my old Boost is listed as well. Does anyone know how to remove this S1 device, so there is a possibility to finally get the option to disable SonosNet?
Has anyone come up with a way to mount a Sonos Arc to a tiled wall without damaging the tile? I do not want to drill through the tile. I would guess that the Arc is too heavy to use even the strongest mounting tape. I know I can use the hangers that mount to the back of the tv, but I am getting a “Frame TV” and it would be optimal to not have it look like the Sonos Arc is actually hanging from the Frame TV. Any suggestions?
Any hope of a new Sonos 5 speaker for hifi listeners? It seems Sonos are concentrating more on surround speakers and portable.I would another high end hifi speaker. And they never replaced the Sonos play 3.Still have my stereo pair.Great sound.
I am planning to buy a Sonos 5 and am going to use it dedicatedly for music. However, my concern is about its reliability in terms of hardware and software. I have read several reviews where people complained that the Sonos 5 stopped working abruptly within 6 months or 1 year, and after that there was no resolution. Now those speakers are just like heavy paperweights. And this is not just one person writing this; there are several comments from multiple customers reporting such issues. If someone is spending such a big amount of money, at least they expect the product to last for years. Hence, need genuine suggestions before buying a Sonos 5.
It is clear that Sonos will not be updating the controller to run on Apple silicon. That’s where we are. Using a web based app concerns me:Internet access is not universally good Privacy concerns and the value our choices of music etc have to Sonos to either use or sell on. Our “options” would be a zero sum game. Given that I am almost certainly not alone, there are folk who have third party apps that are more players than controllers, by which I mean many configuration aspects like adding speakers etc. aren’t an option. They just play stuff on Sonos hardware. So, where are we to go once Rosetta gets canned and using a web based app is either unattractive or technically unviable? Recommendations please 🙂
I can’t for the life of me work out how to reorder my Favorites on the Sonos home screen. Can someone please advise?I’ve tried tapping and holding, tapping into “Stations” and tapping “Edit”, but while there are options to remove, I don’t see any way to reorder.Must be missing something obvious. Thanks!
I’ve just seen on my Mac (running Tahoe 26.4.1) that the version of Sonos app I have on my computer will not open in future release of MacOS. Running Sonos S2 version 17.2. (the message directs me to an apple website to learn how to update to Apple Silicon version).I wondered if there will be a solution going forward or is this the end of the app for MacOS?
Given that Apple is dropping support for Intel based app later this year is there a plan to provide an apple silicon version of the Sonos app for OS X and if so is there an expected release date?
Hi everyone,I’m looking for some advice.I own a Sonos Ace beta unit that I received as part of the Sonos beta testing program. The headphones are currently running firmware 3.11.0. In the Sonos app, it appears to detect that an update is available, but when I try to proceed, I immediately get the message:“No update available.”So I’m stuck on firmware 3.11.0 and I’m unable to install the newer version.I’ve already tried:Restarting the headphones. Restarting the Sonos app. Checking from different devices.Has anyone else experienced this issue, especially with beta testing units? Is there a way to move the headphones from the beta firmware channel to the public release, or does Sonos Support need to intervene? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I have a huge property where I’ve got 37 Sonos devices of various product all hardwired except for my subwoofers. Is there a way to get past or something I can do to jailbreak the limitation of 32 devices because of the universal plug-in play built into the software.or if somebody has a better suggestion idea or information, I would love to hear about it other than creating a second network
