If you want to integrate all these speakers into a Sonos environment, you could purchase one (or may be more) Sonos Amp.

I’ve read that you can attach 6 Sonos speakers to an Amp, and 4 if they are 3rd party ones. Always in parallel and 8 Ohms. 

But I suppose that you can go for cheaper solutions depending of the speakers installed, the budget you have and the needs in terms of playing music. 

A port and a multi-channel other brand amplifier will power more speakers but you only get one audible stream per Port so you might want more than one to allow different music in different rooms. Amp(s) and the Port/other-amp combinations are also workable.

I’d be tempted to tuck the wires out of sight and go with a Sonos speaker setup, Era-100s are going to sound as good as almost any ceiling speaker, give better stereo imaging and be more flexible. Stepping up to Era-300s or Fives in critical listening rooms is also an option.

Before making any recommendations please provide more information. Ceilings are full of speakers doesn’t say much.

How many speakers per Room or Space?

• Room being a living room, den, bedroom etc
• Space being an open concept where there may be 2, 4, 6 speakers wherein a kitchen, dining area and/or den are not defined by walls but by furnishings.

Also a diagram would be helpful if you know how to upload to this post.

Are these areas used for primary listening or background music?

Also, what is meant by “lots of ends coming out walls”.  Are the wires the same approximate level as a light switch?
