Hi, I have a large room (4.5m by 10m with 3m high ceilings) and I want to install in-ceiling, 8 inch Sonos speakers. I would really appreciate advice on whether two pairs would be enough, whether to go with one or two amps and how best to position them. The room will be divided into two zones front of the long side and back of the long side. One half a sitting area and one half a dining area. Thanks!

If you want two different music streams having two Amps is necessary.

You don't  mention how loud you want the sound or if you are planning stereo or mono sound.

That is a big room for four small speakers, I don't have a recommendation, but keep in mind you can hook six Sonos/Sonance speakers to each amp, only four other brand ones.

Since you are cutting holes it might be worth hiring a professional with audio the proper equipment to analyze the room.
