Will it be possible to use a generic USB-C to Ethernet adapter with the new Era speakers? That’s instead of the $39 Sonos adapter. Cheers! 

I have an LG UK6090PUA TV connected to a Gen 2 Beam, along with a Gen 3 Sub and two One SLs for surrounds. The setup sounds great for movies and TV and also for music played through the Sonos app. Music played through the TV, however, sounds downright awful. Like really, really bad — totally unlistenable, which is a real shame because I have a great music video collection that I would love to have playing in the background when hosting company.I’ve downloaded a bunch of open-license music videos from the internet and extracted the audio for listening only, and I’ve got both the MOV video and MP3 audio versions in my media library. It’s the same exact audio stream for both the videos and the audio files (16-bit 44.1kHz stereo), and having the same audio stream in both formats provides a clear example of just how stark the contrast is.A song played through the Sonos app on my phone sounds great, with all speakers playing at appropriate volume levels and the stereo signal split appropriat

What would you use for an 12 by 18 screened in porch?  I was thinking Era 300.

I have it set up in a medium size 3mtr x 6mtr room with 2mtr high ceilings.It sounds amazing and I’m very pleased with my choice just interested in what settings others are using.

Hello,I have a Sonos/Sonance Indoor/Outdoor setup consisting of:Living Room - Sonance In-Ceiling Speakers + Sonos Arc Soundbar + Sonos Sub + Sonos Amp Kitchen - Sonance In-Ceiling Speakers + Sonos Amp Backyard - Sonance Garden Series 8.1 System w/ SR 2-125 AmpI have a Russound Speaker Selector and Sonos Port which allow me to combine all of the above to play the same audio in any combination (or different audio through different sources). We have an outdoor television which we would like the ability to run audio through the (SGA) Sonance Garden Series (even if we can’t tie it to the other Sonance In-Ceiling or Sonos Arc Soundbar), but have run into a number of issues. 1st off, utilizing the RCA connections and an adapter which shows on the Sonos app as a “Line-In” connection, the latency is unbearable (even after maxing out the adjustment on the TV), and when connecting it to the Sonos Port, there can only be one input connected at a time, making it impossible to toggle between the SGA

Similar to what is outlined here: I experience in some cases a metallic / distorted / chirping sound on my Beam2. Happens with Panasonic and LG TV, so it’s not a TV issue.The metallic sound is somewhat in the background, but clearly noticeable. It is also somewhat correlated to the original sound, seems to be directly „derived“ from it, like a distorted low volume copy.For me only happens in night sound mode.When i disable night sound, the issue disappears my.Seem to happen more often on TV channels with PCM stereo. But I have not been able to relay reliably reproduce it. It happens quite often though.Switching the channel can make the error appear or go away.Wild engineering guess is some sort of Bitstream MSB/LSB alignment error. Re-init also means re-align and this can fix it. Possibly hardware not SW?Anyone else experiencing this?  

Hi.  I recently got a Sonance 6.0 system to add to the other Sonos systems in the house.  I had no problem setting the Sonance up and it seems to be working fine on the wifi.  When I try and take the volume above about 60% it always cuts out.  Works fine up to that volume but always cuts out above that.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

Hi here!I have ARC+SUB+2xOneSL system connected via ARC to LG 65UK6100YVA.I also have nVidia Shield and Netflix with the ULTRA HD subscription.However, I only get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and not Dolby Atmos.The settings on the TV are as follows:Sound Out: Audio Out (Optical/HDMI ARC)Digital Sound Out: Auto (Options: PCM or Auto)SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC): OnDTV Audio Setting: Auto (Options: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC, Auto)Could anyone please help? How can I create a mix / songlist based on one song, with like songs, in Sonos. With Deezer, you can pick a song and create a mix based on it. How can I do this with Sonos (with Deezer as source)?

Hi!I’m currently looking at different options for setting up a sound system for a hostel. It involves installing several speakers to cover a rather large (fully open & connected) common area, including a reception, café and dining hall. Total probably 7 speakers, plus or minus. (either Era 100, One SL, or a combination. Recommendations between these two are also greatly appreciated!). All controlled with an iPad in our reception/café. I’m finding it a bit difficult to figure out just by the information online, so I’m wondering if anyone knows whether or not a Sonus system could satisfy the following example use cases?:) Three specifically selected speakers playing the same music, the rest are silent.  All speakers playing the same music, but with the ability to adjust volume per speaker. Three speakers playing the same music, and a fourth one playing its own music from a different source. (could also be from a different iPad, if that is needed to work as a separate sound source). O

Hi everyone,Here is my setup Playbar - Sub - 2x Play:1Here is my issue :I run Trueplay calibration every goes well and calibration complete.  I can enjoy the sound of my TV calibrated as long as home theater does not automatically switch off.  Once I switch back on the TV, sound is extremely low (I have to put it to 50% to ear any sound) and stutters very badly (nothing can be understand from a dialog for example). If I reboot my Playbar during movie is playing, sound will come back but if I press “pause” or switch off and back on the TV, same issue appears.    The only fix is to erase Trueplay calibration and reboot the system.   I search everywhere online and nobody seems to have a similar issue. It’s a shame as Trueplay really improved the surrounding on my system!Does anyone have an idea please? Thanks 

Hello!   I am at the end of my trial period for a pair of Era 300s.  In a nut shell I really like them (using Apple Music). BUT I am getting ear fatigue as I think it’s due to the pair competing with each other. And I cannot get the imaging to balance out. What I mean is the only way to experience a center stage for vocals is sitting dead center between the pair, just like old school audiophile days. However, I tend to sit on either end of my living room sofa. I’ve done Trueplay multiple times, as well as place the speakers in different parts of the room. Note, I have high ceilings on half of the living room. And I’ve placed the speakers about 7 feet apart at an angle to the sofa, in order for both speaker to have the same ceiling height (You can see two pictures where I’ve experimented with speaker placement). I’ve spoken with Sonos support several times, and they’ve mainly stated Sonos removed the L/R Balance adjustment on Era 300s because of Spatial Audio. :(  They didn’t offer much

Can i use a pair of Fives instead of Arc for my home theatre set up? Will i then be able to listen to Music in 2.1 & movies in 5.1 when desired?

The Sonos controller for Mac OS has a major memory leak. I first reported this to Sonos several years ago. Sent them all the data, etc. Others have done the same. This is not something new and not something they’re unaware of. Here’s an old closed thread on the topic.Meanwhile, here we are, years later, and it still leaks huge amounts of memory. When first loaded, it uses a bit less than 150MB. After running for a long period of time, I’ve seen the memory footprint as high as more than 9GB!  That’s absurd.  Why doesn’t Sonos address this? Probably because the average consumer doesn’t know (or care) what a memory leak is, as long as it doesn’t crash their machine. They don’t realize that the ever-increasing memory footprint gradually slows their machine down with more and more swapping. C’mon, Sonos. Fix this.

Hi, appears this is a common one so apologies in advance.The bass has started distorting sometimes on my One, it's not always and not necessarily on high bass music(I mostly listen to Indie/Rock/Alternative so punchy drums and bass guitar) Its been set to 90% max from the day we bought it, to protect it) and always been setup with Trueplay, then bass and treble turned up to 5 & 7 respectively.I’ve done the usual reset and redo true play but it still does it…...is the speaker dead? If there are any Sonos tech people reading, I submitted diagnostics a few minutes after it did it quite bad recently, ref 566694998, if it helps.Thanks in advance, Mark

I’d like to add occasional music capability to a fairly large (450 sq ft) room, 15’ x 30’. It would likely only be occasionally used. Does anyone have any thoughts on a Playbar vs. a pair of Play 3 speakers connected in stereo?(We have a pair of connected Play 5’s in a smaller room that are used daily, the primarily listening space, and a Playbar connected to a television in a medium sized room that’s used for both music and the TV.)Thank you!

Can Peloton bike stream through Sonos (wifi) One SL or do i need to hardwire?

I have an existing USB C to RCA adapter and assumed would work with my turntable but line in showing as disconnected? Does that mean it only works with the dedicated Sonos adapter ? 

I need to add ambient music throughout a 4 floor retail space. All floors are open floorplan and around 2500sqft. Needs to be as simple as possible. I was thinking 4x Sonos Era 100 per floor, one in each corner near the ceiling pointing towards the center, mounted with the Era 100 mount.Each floor will have its own wifi access point. What would be the best option for networking ands controlling all the speaker groups from one Ipad?Thanks!    

Hi friends,   I have an existing 9.1 room wired with inceiling speakers and a traditional AVR.  I want to use a ARC for my front stage, then use 2 amps to push surround speakers.  Is this possible? So Channels 1-3 will be on the ARC and channels 4-9 will be on AMPs.  Can this be done software wise with the Sonos logic?

I have a Sonos ARC Soundbar connected to an LG OLED65C2PSC TV and after several months of trying I am still unable to successfully establish a connection that allows the LG Magic Remote to control volume and mute.I can get sound through the Sonos when connected to the TV’s HDMI2 (ARC) port but no remote control functionality.If I use the Optical->HDMI converter supplied by Sonos and connect the Soundbar that way I can get full remote functionality, and the Sonos App completes the connection process without any errors. Perfect but I want full HDMI so I can get the Atmos channels.I have tried every TV setting on this blessed earth but the Sonos App always fails during the process of trying to link to the TV when connected to HDMI2(ARC).For completeness yes I have set…TV eARC to On TV Audio Stream to passthroughDuring these failed attempts to connect I have observed the following…If the TV audio out is already set to HDMI2 it will sometimes switch to TV speaker when the Sonos App tries

Hi everyone, In a local shop I've found a new Sonos Arc with a 30% discount, but I bought the Beam Gen 2 in January... Do you think is possible that Sonos releases an Arc Gen 2 in this year? Or any equivalent?

I’m not particularly tech savvy so apologies in advance for any confusion on my part.  I have a Netgear Orbi router with two different RBS50 satellites in my home, as well as several Sonos speakers throughout the house and a connect AMP that is wired to outdoor speakers on my back patio.  I recently set up an Orbi outdoor satellite to enhance my wifi signal outside.  At first, everything worked swimmingly and I had no issues connecting to my Sonos system while outside. However, I recently had to restart my modem + router, and ever since then the Sonos app cannot detect my system when I am outside.  I am still getting perfect wifi signal (which I assume is due to the outdoor satellite I added) but for whatever reason my Sonos system cannot be found.  Or, on occasion, it finds a couple of the indoor speakers but cannot find others, including the Connect AMP (which is particularly frustrating because that is what powers my outdoor speakers, as I noted above).  Any help in getting this iss

Hi all,My house currently have a pair of ceiling speakers above my sitting area across the TV location, so it got me thinking what the best Sonos home theater set up to buy.Arc, Sub and 2x Era 300. This is the latest recommendation from Sonos, but it won’t use the speaker that’s already in place which seems to be a waste, and I wonder if the overhead sound by reflection would be as good as actual ceiling speaker. It also sucks that I can’t add an Amp since it exceeds the maximum number of speaker in a Sonos set up Arc and Sub, then add 1x Amp for ceiling speakers, and install 2x in-wall speaker paired with 1x Amp. Does this provide Atmos rendering? I don’t see in any documentation on whether this is more than what the Sonos system support. Would this be better than Option 1?Thanks for the feedback!
