There seems to be no possibility to remove the Sonos Radio music service. To my knowledge, this is the only music service that cannot be removed (or disabled, both would do well) I want to remove the Sonos Radio service, because it gets in the way when searching for a radio station. I do not want to use Sonos Radio, because Sonos Radio does not meet my requirements of an internet radio player, which is: play radio station from my region.  When using Sonos Radio to stream the VRT radio streams (Flemish broadcasting in Belgium), the stream does only start after 15 seconds. And half of the time, it is the wrong stream (playing “de tijdloze” instead of “VRT Radio 1 Classics”.  This i s a known problem to Sonos, according to the VRT website: https://www.vrt.be/nl/aanbod/kijk-en-luister/radio-luisteren/streamingslinks-radio/ (Dutch). Have picked out the Ultimate which includes the ARC, Subwofer, and 2 ERA 300s. I have 3 questions:Do I Need, Should I get, 2 additional ERA 300s for the front of the room or will the ARC suffice? Is that overkill? Because of 11 or 12 foot ceiling should I get adjustable stands versus fixed for the two rear ERA 300s? I just purchased a Yamaha RX-A4A how will the Sonos system connect up to it?

I just purchased the Beam Gen 2.  I have a Roku Ultra 2022 and a Sony with an ARC HDMI port.  The new IOS app S2 always shows in “Dolby Atmos” on all content.  This can’t be true.  Does the Roku Ultra upscale every signal to Atmos?  

Why is Sonos such a piece of * system now. I have owes Sonos speakers for several years.  In the beginning it was an easy simple set-up and the system was reliable!  Every time I plugged in my speakers they were recognized and connected instantaneously.  Last year I purchased two more SL speakers to go along with my S1 speakers.  They worked fine last summer.  Now I cannot connect at all to amy of my speakers.  The app tells me that it can not find product or I need to unplug the speaker or I need to reset my WiFi router.  Hours upon hours spent to reconnect the same speakers I have been using for years?  How could this be - what is so difficult about connecting a speaker to WiFi.  How many damn times do I need to unplug my router in order to get these stupid things to work?Sonos has become just like every other Technology company.  Keep creating more products and keep changing technology in order to earn as much profit as possible!  It is disgusting.  In the beginning they just had a

I am setting up an outdoor speaker system. Already have a Move and One. Can I connect these speakers to a non-Sonos amp, which will also connect my outdoor wired speakers? 

I moved into a new house and would like to get speakers for my TV in the family room, but because of how the TV is mounted on a stone fireplace hearth, it would be impossible to mount or place a sound bar anywhere. So if I were not going to use a sound bar, I’m wondering what combination of Sonos products would I need for home theater audio.Ideally I’d want to add surround speakers eventually, and I’d also like to be able to stream music from the same speakers (hence why I’m hoping I can find a Sonos setup that works). Any advice?

 We recently bought a new house. At the moment I do not yet own any sonos products. At the moment we mainly use a set of KEF x300A that is in my office that is adjacent to my current living room. We would like a multi-room system in our new house. I have attached an image of the floor plan of the new house. The kitchen and living room on the right have an open connection. I would like to provide the three rooms that I have circled with a system first.Can someone advise us? 

(8/1/23) So I took an offer -for Sonos subscribers- for a 3 month trial of TuneIn Premium. Just by going to services and adding the new Sonos API for TuneIn. There are currently two Tunein API’s I am obviously referring to the one titled “Tunein (New)”.One thing I like about the new Tune API for Sonos is the log in access that has all my favorites (and family favorites) by folder -yes we do listen to a lot of international and niche radio, alt, indie, etc.The bad part (and pain point) as I let Tunein know via Twitter (or X) DM, is that none of the BBC radio stations were working on their Sonos API, including my daily favorite BBC6 “6 Music”. When I was re-adding my Sonos favorites through the Tunein (New) API I made the (so regretful) error of removing BBC6 (the one with the old Tunein API) and guess what? BBC 6 now does not work on old or new Tunein APIs! ...only via airplay (or chromecast) which to me defeats the point, deplete’s phone battery and add little steps plus possible inter

Hi,I am designing a system incorporating the Sonos Port to a Background Music System. I have searched for technical documents online and unfortunately cannot find the answer I am looking for. My question is: Can I connected Sonos port to a network switch (corporate LAN) and users can connect to Wireless Access points in various rooms? The system will consist of multiple Sonos Ports installed with in the AV rack and to be designated to be used for particular areas with in the building. How can users differentiate which port to connect in any given area? Can we rename each device dedicated to each area or can we hide other Ports and only show Ports for that particular area? As to LAN security, what thing should be considered during setup? Can you please provide configuration documents and other manuals?Thanks RegardsBH

In process of upgrading to S2 and wonder if playlists can be moved or imported? My Sonos playlists do not appear on desktop (Windows) or iPhone S2 apps. Looking on here I see that they are supposed to migrate, so this appears to be a fault.  All playlists are still visible and working in S1 app. Music is stored in iTunes folder on NAS and playlists comprise tracks that are physically present on disk. I have seen there is a third party app that lets playlists be played between S1 and S2 systems but I plan to eliminate S1 devices from the network.

Added the ARC to my new LG tv for better sound clarity. It has done that job, but now I’d like a more level sound volume. I wanted enhanced volume for dialog but limited volume for loud noises ( gun shots, jet engines, explosions, etc.). Input is cable TV and streaming movies. I’ve adjusted the Sonos app with enhanced dialog and I’ve turned on the night mode. The peak sounds are still too loud, as are commercials - is there any additional options I can try? It seems an automatic gain control should be available to compress the overall volume range.thanks in advancejon 

I have a BT box, SONOS Beam 2 , SONOS One SL (x2) setup as asurrond sound.BT box HDMI goes to TV, as TV doesn’t support HDMI out  (or optical port out) I use the optical port on the BT box via the SONOS optical adapter to the Beam  2.Google assistant is enabled on the Beam 2.Everything works, we play music and watch TV etc….fab.The bit that frustrates me is you have been listening to music in the lounge on the Beam 2 setup, you decide now to catch up with the news, turn on the telly and BT box….no sound.I have to go into the SONOS app, navigate to the Beam 2 setup and slide the TV Autoplay OFF, then slide it back on...now you have sound.Is this a software oversight that it doesn’t detect sound because of the SONOS Optical Adapter is not quite right or is there some other confiugration setting I need to change?Is there another way of getting the SONOS Beam to acknowledge the Optical sound, it doesn’t warrant a new TV.This is the ONLY issue we have, everything else works a treat. Neil

HI, I’d appreciate a little advice/guidance with my newly installed Arc…  Is there a ‘test’ video or similar that can be streamed to verify the setup, let you change the ‘height’ and asses the differences, etc?  I intend to pair it with two Sonos One SLs - I appreciate that I wont get the same sound quality as using Era 100s but is this still a valid pairing?Thanks in advanceCheers! mike

Sonos app update. 3 band EQ BASS-MID-TREBLE greater user control. It’s the weakness in the app. 

As the title states, I have a new Samsung TV that is currently connected to the AMP via a HDMI cable.  The AMP has 2 ceiling speakers connected via Speaker wire. The Arc is wirelessly connected to the Amp.  There is a slight audio delay, so I ended up turning down the AMP (Ceiling speakers) and mainly used the Arc.There is a SVS Sub that is directly connected to the AMP as well. Should I connect the ARC directly to the TV?  Then somehow integrate the AMP as surrounds? Thanks 

I’m redoing our TV room (15’ x 16’) and trying to figure out what might be the best combo. I’m trying to balance value and quality here. Would the Beam and Sub Mini be enough for movies and general music? I’m new to this, so forgive my ignorance. We have several Sonos speakers around the house, but this will be our first TV sound system purchase. (Currently have a mediocre Sony soundbar and sub). Thx!

We have an older Sonos Play:1 speaker that I bought for my wife a few years ago, which she uses to play her music (MP3s converted from her CDs) from the SD Card of her Android phone. I’m running Windows 10 on a PC that’s about 6 years old. Some things I’ve tried:changing the library settings to point to the new drive & folder re-indexing the library removing the existing library setting and adding the new one uninstalling and reinstalling the Sonos app adding just one subfolderThe latter item seemed to work .. kinda. It worked for the one folder I added, but that’s not a tenable solution when I have approximately eleventy quadbillion subfolders of music, ya know???? It seems like there might be something hecky with the Windows share settings, but as I’m not a professional sysadmin, I’m not sure how to fix it.

Big Sonos fanboy me, got loads of them all over the house.  Bought a Roam for outside and in the bathroom.  Utter UTTER S***E in every single way you can think of.  S***e on/off/Bluetooth button and s***e indicator lights and s***e sound and S***E connecting issues.  Utter UTTER S***E!  Had it well over a year and hate the f*****g thing with a passion.  Did I mention it’s utter s***e because that’s what it is. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

I have a Nuvo based system that has 8 separate zones and 12 pairs of wired speakers, each pair driven by an Elan amplifier (12 amplifiers total).  The Nuvo Music Port has gone bad, and I’m thinking of switching to Sonos.  Since I already have an amplifier for each speaker pair, I’d like to use the Sonos Port as the source as opposed to the Sonos Amp.  I’m thinking of combining a few zones so I could cover the entire area with 4 or 5 Ports.  While this will reduce the independent zones to 4 or 5, I won’t have to buy 8 Ports (or even 12 if I wanted one for each amplifier).  My question is whether the Port’s output can be split 2 or even 4 ways to feed the amplifiers without having a problem with signal attenuation.  Comments from anyone who has experience with this would be much appreciated.

Hi, I'm looking for a soundbar that will allow me to listen to it via bluetooth headphones, does such a thing exist? (I don't want to play music through the soundbar,  I want to listen to the TV via bluetooth headphones)) 

Here we go again, new phone and Sonos volume control does not work from lock screen, either it be the volume buttons or the widget. Sonos has done it again! have been through all in app settings aswel as security settings, I have a pixel 7.  I have to physically unlock phone and then able to change volume .... Good security hey.. 

I've never used the queue function ever but it keeps popping up before I can get in to the app. Can it be removed?
