Every app I have tried to play podcasts from through Sonos Immediately goes back to 1x speed once connected to my Sonos speakers. I don’t want to have to return my Sonos if I don’t have to, Is there any solution for this? I am currently using my $2k+ sound system only half the time because I can’t listen to podcasts or Audible at faster than 1x speed. 

This is not just a nice to have feature, but something one would assume the system can do before buying. 

Not currently, no. 

There is a work around for this depending on the configuration of your Sonos system. If you have a Bluetooth enabled speaker, such as Roam, Move, or Era 100, you can set that speaker to Bluetooth, play from your phone to that speaker and link the audio to other Sonos speakers. Not ideal but works for me
