Hello all, I am having an issue with my library that is stored on a synology NAS. The NAS is located at work and I use my home PC to sync my music library to the NAS. The NAS backup is in a to-way sync. Problem is, multipe versions of the same playlist are appearing on the android app, often followed by a series of numbers like it’s doing some sort of version control. I have checked my sync settings in synology and the files themselves. There is only one .m3u file in the playlists folder. How can this be remedied? Sonos documentation is not helpful. Is there a setting in synology that is doing a hidden version control/backup? I cannot delete playlists that don't exist in my files.

hi all!First of all, I’m new to the Sonos community. Love the Sonos Ones I have in some rooms, great sound and (user) experience overall.Its a bit of a pitty to understand that the soundbars are not offering so far video passthrough, which is required to extend the compatibility to budget “friendlier” 4K projectors.Is there any hope to see a soundbar adding a video passthrough? (its a shame to read suggestions to buy a splitter no matter which brand - it just adds another device and more cabling which is not nice).Overall - there is a huge community of “home cinema enthusiast” that is left behind with this. thks in advance,Andres.

I have a Sub Gen 2. I want to purchase the arc and era 300s. Will this be compatible and a 7.1 experience?

Would it make sense to have the Sonos app and necessary hardware licensed for TVs?  I am not talking about entry level TVs but higher mid to high end product lines for the manufacturers.  I envision a Sonos system where the consumer doesn’t want a soundbar or surround system but does wan’t to have better sound from their display source.  Maybe keep the Sonos OneSL as an entry level speaker.  I could see someone wanting to here the content from what is on the TV out doors where they have a Sonos amp with Sonance or other speaker set up and not have the sound playing through the soundbar in a room without any listeners.  I know the port does this job, but I am looking at way to minimize the hardware foot print in the home.  

Context: Sonos Arc+sub+2xEra300 connected to a LG OLED C2. I want to keep my system compatible with Dolby Atmos as I paid big$ for it.Two simple use cases give no good result:It’s late, i want to use my Bluetooth headphones on my TV so that I don’t wake up everyone while playing my favorite PlayStation 5 game. We have a party, the kid wants to play Mario Kart on the TV. She wants the TV to play the audio from the game through the TV speakers while we still play our playlist during the party on the pleasantly loud Sonos Arc+sub+2xEra300And I don’t want to physically unplug the Sonos Arc each time I am in those two situation, as the cables are hidden in the wall.I sincerely believe I am not asking for something way out of the ordinary.But in both cases, the audio output of the TV switches back automatically to the Sonos Arc which is incredibly frustrating.Looking for a satisfactory workaround from the community. I thought I was done purchasing more Sonos speakers. But I know have  42” smart tv that showed up inside my garage where I have a paired Sonos Play1 for listening to music when I’m hanging out in my garage. I’ll bring in my Move to play along with my Play1’s. The tv was my sons old tv as he upgraded to a 48” OLED. I’m using a Fire stick to watch on the new/old tv. Sound is terrible so I thought about a sound bar to enhance the sound a bit. I thought about my old Vizio sound bar, but if I were to buy the cheaper Ray I could also play it with my Play1’s and Move when I’m watch TV in the garage. Any thoughts? Is this a waste of time and money as the tv is only in the garage? How does the Ray sound? How would it sound in the garage? 

Hey folksfirst time poster here, so, sorry if there is already a discussion on this topic somewhere, I’ve looked around but couldn’t find one. If there is, please direct me <3 Current system: I’ve had a Port and 2x Play:1s for a while now. It is an amazing sound that fills the room and isn’t overly directional. I use it for:Music over Sonos Radio or Spotify, duh. Have a ProJect T1 turntable and Dual amp connected to the Port. Use them as Apple TV speakers via AirPlay to the Port. The choice:So, I’ve been thinking about getting a Beam 2. Visually it looks much better than the Arc as it is smaller and I don’t own a TV. But I’d also be open to an Arc if it makes more sense.First, I kinda expect points 1&2 to “just work”™ I expect to group the 3 speakers up with the Port, because those use cases are first-class citizens in the Sonos ecosystem.My concern was with number 3 - if it actually makes sense getting a Beam (or Arc) due to the fact that AirPlay probably limits the playback qu

Hi. Just linked my new Beam to existing sub and play:1s and get great sound from the TV via the Sonos surround sound set up. I also want to link my blu ray player and freesat top box to my Tv and listen to them via my Sonos speakers but only have 1 hdmi cable into the Tv so thought I could use an hdmi splitter to switch between sources. Am I correct and if so what features of a splitter do I need to look for. Thanks

Hi, I would like to get Sonos system (I don’t have any yet). For the living room:I’d like to keep my KEL LS50 W1 and my subB&W DB4S.I’ll use this system for music listing and watching TV.I understand so far:Sonos amp: Ok for the sub but I need passive speakerSonos Port: Ok for the speaker, not the Amp, not the TV (lag)I’d like to Add 2 Era 300 has a rear speaker.Not a big fan of esthetic of a bar in this room (arc)  For the dinning roomI’d like to connect a beam gen 2 to the second TVIs gen 2 a big difference w Gen 1?Add 1 or 2 speaker in the open kitchen (Witch one?) If the community can help me specially for the living room !  

I’ve been trying to set my lg c2 and my Sonos beam 2 to get Dolby atmos but all I had was Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0.I realize that some have problems with it but they solve it by changing by changing the options below. Note: I’m using Apple Music (Dolby atmos works fine when using through the Sonos app but isn’t on LG anyone else have the same problem?  

Having had the Sonos addiction for many years, I am now fortunate to have multiple Sonos players in various rooms. When I select a group like ‘kitchen’ is there an easy way of synching the volume to all the players in that group? Currently I have around 6 players in total in the kitchen and depending on who used them last, i have to manually sync the volume using the individual sliders for each player.  would be helpful if there is a ‘sync all’ type thing but I can’t see anything obvious.

Hi I’ve got the new Sonos arc and it’s connected to my Samsung Q90R tv via the arc HDMI, my TV viewing is with Sky Q 2tb box. I’m getting lip sync issues being slightly out, I have adjusted the audio settings to zero on my sky box TV and Sonos app but still no joy. I had the playbar before with no problems any help pleased.  

Hi - I’m looking to upgrade my old Zoneplayers and would like to run a turntable and possibly a CD player too.Thinking about 2 x Era 300 running in stereo with the turntable connected to one and CD player the other. Would this work, and any other thoughts on the setup? Appreciate any advice on this! Thanks 

Lots of threads out there Re airplay not working due to password prompt.  Just bought a new Move for $500bucks expecting to AirPlay to it and can’t?!?!?!no solution out there that works… and before everyone chimes in about disabling airplay passwords that has already been validated.  Sonos do you have a solution? Please don’t point to all the previously posted articles on disabling passwords… tried everything publicly available to no resolution.  please advise. Thx. 

I’ve recently changed broadband from sky to community broadband and I’m having difficulty connecting my speakers to the network,can anyone advise?

I have a lounge of 350 sq ft (32 sq meter).  I have a TV with beam Gen 2 and sub mini.  Very happy with TV/movie sound performance.  I have also bought a Sonos Port and line-in switch to allow me to connect my turntable, CD player and cassette (yes cassette) player to the Beam for music. Obviously these are stereo not spatial audio inputs.The music sound is pretty good through the Beam and sub mini.  It has replaced a 5.1 100 watt per channel home theatre amp with 5 Kef egg speakers and sub.  I want good quality and sufficient volume for parties.  Thinking about options to add 2 Era 100 or 300 or maybe even 2 Fives. If I set them up as stereo speakers for music would they be more powerful than the Beam or could I use them in parallel with Beam?Appreciate these could also act as surrounds to the Beam but that’s not my priority.Can anyone suggest the best option?   

Hello,I’d like to raise an issue that I’ve encountered on iOS 16.6. Indeed, the music used to cut off after a random time (circa 15 min). After rolling back my phone on iOS 16.5, I can (finally) play music with no interruption. My current set up is a beam (gen 2), 2x play 1 and 1 sub mini.Last detail: As a “workaround”, removing the sub mini from my Sonos set up enabled the system to work again on 16.6…

We just got a new wifi setup, with a new network name. I opened the app on my iPhone and followed the “let’s fix this” instructions per https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/connect-sonos-to-a-new-router-or-wi-fi-network?language=en_US .. I picked one device to reconnect (a Sonos One), pressed the button per instructions, allowed my phone to connect to a “SONOS” wi-fi network, per instructions, and… Nothing. My phone says “can’t connect to network SONOS” or something to that effect.My Sonos setup is already messed up because of a PC reconfiguration, and now my speakers are utterly unusable.

I have just bought nice tall and deep bedside tables for the lamps (the lamps sound much better on these rigid wooden cabinets than the previous flimsy metal ones). I am considering permanently fixing them to the tables, so there is no chance to accidentally knock them off. I just wondered it there was an optimal distance to place them from the wall. I appreciate the sound is modified / enhanced by setting them up with truetone, but if I position them correctly in the first place, sound should be even better. Thanks

Hey all, Right now I have a beam gen 2, sub gen 3 and two Sonos ones in the home theater setup. I've got to balance my desires for good audio with my wife's desire for room aesthetics, so stands and wall mounts are not an option. Our couch is against the wall and that isn't something that can change.I'm considering getting new Era 300s to replace my Sonos One surrounds. Because our couch is pushed right up against the wall, so currently I have the surrounds sitting on matching shelves that are on either side of the couch, pointing at the listener on the couch. I've used airplay to try make up for the fact the speakers are not behind the listener.On top of the shelves for the 300s is where I would put them. There would be the clearance above the speaker required with a straight line to the ceiling, and they would be clear on either side of pointing straight away from the wallIf I got era 300s, which way would be best to position them? Hi all, first I’m so glad I found this forum, it’s helped me learn some basics. I’m buying a new house and plan to design out a Ubiquiti Unifi network - so I’m prepared/ready to run ethernet to the ceiling or wall of many rooms just for access points already.  With that, I am not sure if Sonos makes the most sense or something else (and what else, I have no idea!).  However, I believe my wifi network would be capable of handling the Sonos load - though if I’m already running ethernet I may prefer to hardwire sonos speakers anyway…  (by the way I assume there are no POE sonos speakers?) I require at least “good” quality with good bass, I don’t need the most insane speaker quality ever, and don’t really care about high fidelity or lossless playback although I’d take it (I understand sonos doesn’t accommodate, that’s fine).  Most of all ease of use for my wife is important =). We are spotify users 99% of the time, and home theater. With that said, I expect speakers in these locations:Kitc

Not sure how unusual a use case this is, but we have  two sonos arc, one in our media room with the projector and one in the main living room under the TV, next to the garden. We use them separately for watching movies locally to the room.When we are watching movies on the TV we want dolby atmos sound output only from the arc mounted under the TV.  When we want to entertain guests at a party, we instead want to use the arc for playing our Spotify playlists, while also having it somehow paired with outdoor speakers that play the same music outdoors in sync with the arc indoors.What product would make sense to do this, and, can the sonos accommodate this somewhat quirky use case? We would prefer to not buy an amp and passive speakers, but rather plug one or two wireless sonos speakers of some kind into the power outlet outdoors that already exist under the patio cover, and keep them permanently there.  Rain and sun would not reach them.We only want it to play whatever the arc plays when

Hi Guys, could you share with me your opinions please. :)I am new to Sonos system and never own any Sonos product before.With the main aim of watching Atmos movies, I have recently tested two similar setups in the shop, with only difference being soundbar itself. Arc+ Sub Mini + 2xEra300 as surround. Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini + 2xEra300 as surround. I found Atmos movie was most amazing to me when two Era300s are involved, it's really spacious. However, I have also noticed that 2xEra300 would somehow "in a good way outshine but not overwhelm" the soundbar completely, both Arc and Beam Gen2, during my testing session.I understand that a typical HT system is kind of a front focused setup, with a-much-more-powerful soundbar in front of you, and "two-relatively-weaker/smaller" surround speaker at the back, eg Samsung Q990, Bose 900 and JBL bar etc. But Era300s as surround seems completely overthrown this principle, making Front/RL/RR equally weighted.
