Just purchased a Sonos Arc, I am going to slowly switch all my audio to Sonos.Current setup in my theater room is a projector (Panasonic PT-AE8000), and the receiver (Yamaha RX-V677). I have a PS5, Roku, NES Switch, and obviously the projector running through this receiver.I have been reading and looking up info online for the past few days and cant get a solid answer on a solid setup to get the Dolby Atmos sound I want with the Sonos. Will a HD Fury resolve my issues and I can keep the old equipment? If so where do I place that unit at? Or can I get a receiver that has dual HDMI outputs, one for the projector and one for the Sonos Arc? Thank you all for your time.
I’m considering buying a Sonos One SL as a stand alone speaker but want to know if I’ll be able to use Siri via my iPhone to play Spotify music and Sonos radio channels? I have a feeling it might only be able to use Apple Music, which I don’t use.
Hello,I have noticed many times now that when on my desktop and i'm adding songs to the the queue from my library and choose them to add them to the end it places them at random spots in the queue instead of actually putting them on the end/last. What's up with that? I now have to look them up in the queue and manually drag them to the end. What could be causing this? -Edit- I just selected 2 tracks at the same time and added them to the queue and they got placed at different spots apart from each other….🤔
Hey all - I FINALLY got ATMOS working correctly with my new Sonos-based home theater setup using an Xbox Series X and a newly purchased Samsung QN90A series television (85”). It took me days to get it synced right and get rid of an audio delay in the whole setup, especially with dialog. Here’s how to pull it off. The important part is that you have to configure things to let the ATMOS/surround sound signal go straight to the ARC for decoding instead of the TV trying to help along the way (causing audio delays and other issues). Home Theater Setup: Xbox Series X → QN90A TV via HDMI 4 (the only HDMI 2.1 port on the TV)HDMI 3 → Sonos ARC (the only port on the TV that supports eARC)(Not that I’m using two PLAY:1’s as surrounds and a SUB as well) Samsung QN90A settings:eARC set to auto Audio set to Pass-through IMPORTANT (NOT auto or PCM) ATMOS turned onXbox Series X settings:ATMOS for home theater (HDMI) IMPORTANT: in other audio settings, MAKE SURE PASS-THROUGH IS TURNED ON. Otherwise yo
Our home theatre group is comprised of an ARC SL with ARC connection to an LG OLED, a Sub Gen 3, and two Play 1s as surrounds. Other groups elsewhere in the house are comprised of several One SLs and one first gen Symfonisk. There is a Boost wired to the Verizon Fios router. The problem is, if the HT group is not playing while other groups are, turning on the HT stops playback in the other groups on network. It’s annoying…Any way to fix this?
Have used trueplay in a number of settings at home which involves stereo pairing of the era 300 with a sub mini … Initial impressions post trueplay at the various locations appear attenuation of the high frequencies ..a quick A/B with and without Trueplay confirms this in my case … However does Trueplay improve over time and if so what sort of timeframe ?
Just a (maybe dumb) question regarding ATMOS, 5 and 7.1. So if I’m watching a source that isn’t available or playing in Atmos, like (Dolby pure HD, or DTS), will the ARC and 300’s still play the upward firing drivers?
Use Apple TV+ remote
I need help please. I am in the UK with a UK credit card. I am trying to buy a Sonos speaker for my son who lives in Austria. Using the UK site it appears that there is no shipping option overseas. If I use the German site I have to put in my credit card address separately from the shipping address. As it’s a UK address it won’t accept it. Any suggestions? Thanks Drouthy
The answer to this feels like it should be obvious but…If i create a playlist on a streaming service like Apple or Spotify, but then also save it as a Sonos Playlist, does that count against the 70-item My Sonos limit? It would seem logical that the answer is yes. But if I don’t save it as a Sonos playlist, and access it only thru the streaming service menu, then it would not. Do I have that right? Sorry to seem dim.
As says in the title. I have 2 Play:1 and a Play:3.Replugging the system doesn’t help. Only reboot. Router is the TP-link AX6000, Sonos is on 2.4 MHz, Laptops and phones are on 5 MHz. It happened before once in a while, but now it happens every day. Any suggestions?
Hi everyone, I will buy 3 Sonos One SLs and set them up in 3 different rooms. I plan to connect each One SL to the Switch using an Ethernet cable. Can I use the S2 App on Desktop (also connected to Ethernet) to control all 3 Speakers? Because I don't want to control them through Wifi. Please give me some advice,Thanks everyone
Merci d’avance
Hello forum. New SONOS user here. Also new to HDMI ARC. Sorry if dumb question.I have: TV (w/HDMI ARC), Xbox, non-SONOS passive speakers. Can I buy a Sonos AMP, connect it to TV HDMI ARC, connect Xbox to TV HDMI (different input), connect speakers to Sonos Amp, and still get sound out from the Xbox to the passive (non TV) speakers? Not sure how HDMI ARC works. Thanks...
Hello. Perhaps forthcoming Sonos user here that is tinkering with the idea of replacing my Yamaha ecosystem with Sonos. But, before I hit the buy button, I’d like to get some insights.I’m considering to buy a Sonos Arc + Sonos Sub (gen3) + two Sonos Era 100 (placed behind sofa for TV-watching) to get a decent surround sound when watching movies and whatnot. But – can I expect that setup to perform well (or even awesome?) when I decide to listen just to music? Is there a simple way to switch to stereo listening (which I assume the app can help me with), and can I expect the audio to be … well … ‘pristine’?Me and my wife talked the other day about replacing our sound system, and also getting a vinyl player to be able to listen to our old records, just like we did in the 80:s/90:s, and I guess that’s possible as well. But the important question is regarding what I can expect of music listening in this sonos-setup, especially compared to what I’d get with a dedicated music-listening-setup.T
My setup includes:Sonos Beam gen2 BenQ TH534Playstation 4Laptop connected to Benq via HDMI to watch movies. Hello community.I am totally new person in the community. My wife bought me a fast Christmas Gift:) I would like to know how to correctly connect my components to generate sound from my Sonos Beam gen2. At this point, I just want to connect and receive sound from my new soundbar. Later I will buy additional speakers. Please let me know if there’s a workaround that I have missed so far. Thanks.
I am fairly new to using Sonos and streaming services. I have found a streaming service, Presto Music, that is not listed on the Sonos list of streaming services that I can access and add. Can I add a streaming service not listed? If so. how do I do it?Thank you.
Any Black Friday deals on mounts? Seem only speakers.
I have a Sononos Playbar. I am thinking of getting Mini Sub. Is it compatable with playbar or I have only one option of getting Sub Gen3?
Are there any plans to eliminate the 65k track limit for Sonos products.Surely i cannot be the only one who has a music collection that is way in excess of this limit?
Hello All,i bought a new tv (hisense 58 a7gq, see specs below), a beam gen 2 , 2 era 100 and a sub mini.the problem is the sound when I use the Apple TV 4K : it’s really bad.the same movie played with the TV gives a beautiful sound (but a quite less Sharp image though)is there a way to fix this issue ? Does it have something to do with the settings ? Of the tv or the bar ?Thanks TV Specs :(4K Ultra HD) Quantum Dot (QLED) : Oui (Hisense QLED), Compatibilité HDR : Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR 10, Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), Dolby Atmos : Oui, Compatible Mode Jeu Auto (ALLM) : Oui
Hi,I have a sonos system made up of ARC + sub (gen3) I use to watch TV. It works well I don’t need to set up a 5.1 system. What I need is spreading the music better in my room (40m2) when I use the system to listen music. How I can get this target?… adding 2 one SL and putting them in asymmetrical way in 2 opposites corner could be helpful? or in alternative adding 1 ERA 100 could be sufficient? or other options? Thanks for your kind advices!!
Hello,As already mentioned in these topics:I would like to know if it is planned to allow the Beam to be used as a center speaker. I know that it plays three channels, but a configuration switch to play only the center channel would be great. The goal is to use some other speakers for the left and right channels. Why ? Because I already have some nice speakers and I would like to combine them with the Beam.If such a configuration is possible, I will buy a Sonos Amp to connect my speakers as left and right channels. Let me emphasize that my potential purchase of an Amp is determined by the availability of this functionality. This kind of configuration (Beam + Amp) is already available for surround speakers. Making it available for side speakers would be tremendous!
I have my old Sonos products on the S1 app and my new products on the S2 app. The S1 app is now giving me the above error message and asking me to upgrade to the S2 app. When I click on ‘About my system’ the S1 app only shows the products linked to the S2 app and doesn’t recognise the old Sonos products
Will 1 roam and 1 era 100 connected to my ray create a surround sound?
