Hi everyone. Hope you can help me, I have a small TV room with a gen 2 beam, sub mini & 2 era 100. I would like to add a Sonos arc but am worried that the room is too small, do I you think it would be OK? Many of thanks for all your help😀
Muchas gracias y saludos!!!
hi all. my 10 year old receiver just went belly up and it was suggested to me that Sonos product could double to serve as my “receiver”— just set up a new system using new Sonos product(s) but keeping my existing Fiber optics “cable” tv set box, Apple TV 4K, and Airply Apple Music (from max or iPhone) and my approximately 10 year old wall mounted tv. My internet fiber optic provider is the same as my fiber “cable TV” provider. I also want to get a turntable (not Sonos branded) soon. Later I might add small speakers in other rooms. I HDMI connect the receiver to Apple TV, to the flat screen tv on wall, to the router, and connect to the router as well. So recover is a wired hub. Bonus would be to be able to continue to use my 10 year old bookshelf plain old wired speakers with any now system—they connect with wires to my receiver. I’m not an audiophile so think average homeowner and not cheapest buy not the highest either. I want as much wireless connection as I can but my TV and
I'm currently using an arc and sub gen 3 with 2 Play 3 surrounds. I was considering replacing the Play 3s with Era 300s. Would I notice a significant improvement worthy of the cost? Is there more to Atmos than just hearing jets fly overhead?
So disappointed in Sonos. A brand new iteration of the Move is just announced, the Move 2 which they say has been “redesigned inside and out”, and it still can’t handle basic bluetooth stereo? How many hundreds if not thousands of threads have been created over the past few years on this topic asking Sonos to add this basic feature that ALL of their competitors offer at less than ½ the price? Don’t tell me it can’t be done, you’re fooling yourself if you believe that. This is a choice…one that completely ignores their customers requests.
I would like to have 9 Sonos Era 100 to a single network..Is this possible?
Hi, I saw year old threads, with this topic. All have been closed. I’d like to bring it up again with a couple of questions and requests for discussion.I have two sites with Sonos speakers for serveral years. Extended over time, it’s a total of 24 speakers now. Given the rising energy prices (announcement from provider: 0,45 € cents with next increase), idle power consumption becomes more and more an issue. Play 1 consumes 3 W. Sub, Playbar and some older Play 5 considerably more. It sums up:3W * 24h * 365days = 26,2 kWh * 24 speakers = 630 kWh * € 0.45 = € 280/year.Just for keeping them in standby. I could buy a Play 1 per year for these totally unnecessary costs. My workaround: I power them all off with Wifi-Plugs (0,5 W each). Power on/off with some smart home event. One plug controls several speakers in a room, so power consumption is considerably less. When powered on, an IFTTT applet sets volume, groups speakers and plays a favorite. (With a 2 min delay for booting).Question: Any

I have an onkyo tx-rz830 and a connect. Trying to set the volume to pass through and it doesn’t control the onkyo volume / it acts as fixed on the preset level through the speakers. how do I set up the s1 app to control the onkyo volume? Is it the turn on volume? Preset volume? thanks
I am thinking of upgrading to the ERA 300 and would like to use it while traveling. My questions are if the bluetooth works well rather than buying a portable bluetooth speaker and, would there be any issues with using it while traveling and then coming home to where it has been set up?Thanks,Alan
Beam connected to Sony tv with optical cable2 S1 s set as surround.worked great with cable tv. Not so much with streaming services ( YouTube tv, Hulu…)can I set the beam and 2 speakers up to broadcast the tv audio? Thanks,
Hi many topics I read about the 32 devices limitI have an installation with 45 and I have all in the same account but I created a 2Vlan with different ip adress to a zone where I inserted 15 devices, this way when I m at that zone I can only acess those 15 devices and when I move to the other zone I can only acess the remaining devices. Problem is that if I’m at zone 1 playing music at room 1 and I move to zone 2 when I get there I connect to the network with different ip and the sonos APP automatically show the devices on that subnet but still showing the device that was playing before even if I stop the music before I leave, the app erase all devices not available except the one that was selected and I always get a message from error with a red dot on this device saying is not available, so I go to device settings and there is an option I can select to not show this device when it is offline and I select this option but it doesn’t t work, I go back to test and keeps appearing always
Hello everyone! I got me a single Era 300 and would like to know how you would compare it to Arc with music listening? Better, worse, same? I would like to update my passive stereo setup (2.1) to Arc to improve the sound when watching TV in my living room but the same stereo is being used for the music currently. I would prefer not to keep the stereo system for music only and would like to hear your opinions if Arc would be a good enough replacement for music also? I did try the Era 300 in front of the TV and listened to Dolby Atmos music. It didn’t sound that much of a surround but more like wide stereo with some sounds coming from above the speaker. Is the Arc better in creating a surround sound? Would you think that this experiment would give me any hint if the room is going to work for surround sound coming from single speaker? The room is not ideal but not the worst either. And by the way, the Era 300 is not going to be in the living room. It was just an expirement.I know I can tr
HelloI have a Sonos Arc, 2 One’s and a sub set up at home for all-round TV and music use. They are connected to an LG GX LED and Apple TV.I’ve had this set up now now for over a year but can’t for the life of me get to audio settings that I am happy with. Something always sounds off. If I compare it to listening to the same audio on my Airpods Max, everything always seems perfect and in balance with those and that’s what I am trying to get with my Sonos set-up.Can anyone advise on how to find the optimal settings for my own set up? Note: I already run trueplay every few months. Thanks in advance
It’s worth in 2024 or has Sonos in plans to release a Gen2 in the future?I think Center channel, eARC, Trueplay, etc… What do you think? Moderator edit: changed plane to plans for clarity
Hi Sonos community,I’m setting up a home audio system from scratch. I want it to support the following audio sources:online streaming audio (naturally) TV turntable CD playerI don’t have a receiver so i was looking at the Sonos Amp. This seems to be perfect for online streaming and TV but sadly has just one input (pair of RCAs) so I can connect a turntable or a CD player but not both.It looks like my options are:Buy a receiver and a Sonos Port and connect all the sources, including the Port, to the receiver. I’m a little cold on this as I’ve read some bad review about sound quality from the Port (e.g here and here). Buy a Sonos Amp and find a way to use the single input for both the CD player and the turntable, perhaps with a RCA switch (clumsy) or daisy-chaining the sources (is this even possible?).Any advice would be greatly appreciated. it seems like I’m not trying to do anything too strange here.Kind Regards,Matt
Looking to purchase first Sonos speakers this Spring. It’ll be strictly for music 20% in the living room, 20% dining room and 60% active in kitchen while cooking. There is power in every corner of the room. Will mostly be listening to things on low/medium volume and don’t want to be an obnoxious neighbor. Budget is ~$1,500. Renting house, so not willing to add something in the ceiling. (won’t attach pictures so you can ignore)
Hi there, i recently bought 26 sonos ERA 100. i will need to connect them all together. im not sure on the limitations of this? if i can have them all in one group/room and just link them together so they share the same feed? or if i can have them all individually. all speakers can be mono feed. i read somewhere that 32 sonos one speakers can be in one system. so im hoping its the same for the ERA 100.
Play1 and Play3 working fine on S1 yesterday. Today when I launch S1 and try to play from any service, SirusXM, Spotify etc. a white popup box says I have to reauthorize the service but have to upgrade first. I go into system and choose upgrade. This opens app store to the S2 app. I download and launch S2 and it says all products are incompatible (expcted.) I swipe close both apps and launch S1 again. Again, if I try to play anything on Sirius or Spotify it says I need to reauthorize and upgrade. If I try to reauthorize the option is greyed out as it says I need to upgrade. Amazon Music does play Any ideas how to fix?
After planning our Theatre Room with the best measurements I could given I have a raised 2nd row, it would be nice (during the tuning process) to be asked “How many rows do you have?”, “Where are your ERA 300’s placed (first row or second)”?, “How far away is the first row?”, “Ceiling height?”…...in the hopes that these questions would actively (physically gimballed) angle the up-firing ATMOS speakers so ATMOS effects can be disbursed for sound across both rows, or just the first row….Of course, by extension we’d have to run the tuning from the first row and the second row I assume.
Hello… Let’s say I’m done using Roam for a period of time but I now want to charge it for my next use. When I power off the Roam, walk it to the charging cable (OEM supplied cable), and plug it in, it powers itself back on and I have to wait for the powering up to complete before I can turn it off again.Just because I’m plugging it in to charge it doesn’t mean I want the device to power on.Questions:Why is this the normal/default behavior of the device and/or what benefit am I overlooking by this behavior? Is there a way to prevent this?Thank you.
I have a 65 by 60 foot airplane hangar with a domed ceiling, the dome starts at 15 feet high. I want the best sound possible inside and am wondering if a pair of 5’s with a subwoofer would be adequate to fill a room this big up with sound. The area is used as a workshop for mechanic work and woodworking so there is generally some kind of background noise to play over from a CNC, Laser or other machine running. I was also wondering about putting in 4 5’s and two subwoofers but don’t know how I would set that up for good sound. Any advice is much appreciated!!
I just bought a Sub Mini which is working well with my stereo pair of ERA 100 speakers with one major exception. The touch controls on each ERA 100 do not control the volume of the sub, only the other ERA 100 speaker leaving the sound with either way too much or too little bass depending on if I turned the volume up or down. The volume works correctly using the phone APP which even brings the volume of the Sub Mini back in sync with the 2 ERA 100s.Sonos tech support verified this behavior using the support feature which confirmed the volume was moving in sync using the APP but not when using the touch controls in 2 separate submissions.Sonos Tech support said this is normal behavior but I am a little skeptical of the agent’s response and frequently use the grooved touch volume control. Is the sub’s volume not responding to the volume touch controls on the speakers consistent with other’s experience?Any thoughts or suggestions? ty
Hello! I have a Hisense Roku tv and the picture has gone out. I couldn’t connect my Sonos system to it anyway, after numerous calls to Sonos for help, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise. When I can afford to buy a new one, how will I know if it will be compatible with Sonos? I have the Playbar, Sub, and two satellite speakers, which I believe are called Sonos One SL.Would Sony tvs work with my system? What other brands?Thank you in advance for any help!
