Hello, I purchased an Arc and Sub (Gen 3) 9 months ago and I like the products. I have thought about purchasing two Era 300 speakers to complement my system which I have in my living room. I currently live in an apartment, with a sectional sofa taking up the entire living room. I would be able to situate the right Era 300 behind the sofa (on a counter) however the left Era 300 would have to be located to the side of the sofa (there is a wall directly behind this side of the sofa). Would this be a bad investment?  Im not sure how much the location in the room has to do with the Era 300’s sound quality but I would not be able to have them centered behind me, as one would be behind the right side of the sectional and one would be to the side of the left side of the sectional. I am willing to make the purchase but I dont want to make the investment if it will sound weird or the sound will seem “uneven?” Could anyone provide any advice or insight? I will not be in this apartment long term (

I have a Sonos Arc with a Sony Bravia TV.  I’m Thinking of adding stereo components, either a paired era 300s or paired Era 100s and 1 Five to connect a CD Player.  does that sound logical?  I’m somewhat technically challenged when it comes to electronics.  Please advise       

I have a fairly extensive Sonos system throughout the house. I am thinking about upgrading to Frontiers Fiber Optics which uses Eero wifi. I have no clue what Eero is and how it works. My main concern is does Eero work with Sonos? How does it work with Sonos products? How many Eero Mesh do I need throughout the house? I’ve read here there have been/is issues with connecting Sonos with Eero mesh wifi. 

Hi, I have a group setup in my living room, consisting of the Beam and the Amp (which connects to a pair of rear in-wall speakers). I am playing sound my mac mini, which is connected to my TV through HDMI, then from there I am connected to the beam (through e-arc) which acts as the center of the group. The mac to TV part might not be relevant here. My question is whether I can output sound to the existing group I have as stereo instead of surround. I would like both my front and rear speakers to play the SAME sound and not use surround channels. I would also like to achieve this NOT using airplay (as there’s a slight lag), but to access the entire group through HDMI and output stereo sound evenly to the 3 speakers from there. Thanks for the help!

Hi Sonos community,Looking to get your advice on a Sonos setup for a small tv room.The room is 14’x7’5” with a ceiling height of 230cm. All that is in the room will be a 65” tv and 2 chairs. What would you recommend for a movie watching experience? Many thanks for your help,Kelly

OK...this may read like a Fanboy post. Well...it’s not. However, I’ll leave that to your own interpretation . As you know the Sonos update to v13.4 brought DTS 5.1 Surround to Sonos home theaters speakers Arc and Beam Gen2.  Since the update there have been posts complaining about DTS not being processed to the Arc. BTW the Beam Gen2 will process DTS as well; but the Arc seems to be the “whipping (boy) speaker”.Fact of the matter is in addition to having a disc player that can decode the DTS signal and/or process DTS:HD to DTS your TV must be cable of “Pass-Through” audio to the Arc or Beam Gen2. If not you must consider using a HD Fury Acrana between your TV and Sonos speaker. To do so you split the incoming HDMI source signal to the FD Fury Acrana via HDMI-Out 1 to HDMI-In on the Arc or Beam; and HDMI-Out 2 to HDMI-In on the TV (*).The point being is that Sonos delivered on their promise to bring DTS to the Arc and Beam. Hi, I’m thinking about adding a Mini Sub to my current setup,  2x Era300s + Move 2 + Roam. I know that Mini Sub cannot be paired with Move 2 and/or Roam. So if I were to add the Mini Sub to my setup and pair it with the Era300. Will I still be able to play music from all 4 speaker simultaneously?

See above title.  I would never buy any Sonos product again and my advice to everyone that I speak with (and I’m a tech consultant) is never ever ever buy a Sonos product.

I have recently moved into a house that was wired for multi-room audio several years ago (15+ years). I am looking to upgrade the system and would appreciate some advice/input.There are 12 zones all controlled by the devices in the above picture. One Onkyo stereo receiver and 4 Niles boxes. 6 of the zones have a control pad (connected to one box) and the other 6 zones (connected to the other box) just have a volume dial. Each zone has 2 speakersSeems a shame to remove the speakers and all the wiring that has been done.My goals are toHave a simplified system with less zones (don’t need speakers in most of the zones and will probably only go for 2 zones; inside and outside). My Sonos Beam soundbar is working with my Panasonic tv.I suffer from Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) which means that no matter how much I turn up the volume, I have difficulty with speech which sounds distorted and incomprehensible. Enhanced speech mode doesn't help. My disability means the Sonos helpline is no use because I cannot participate in telephone conversations. I sent an email to Sonos support but it was bounced back.Can anybody tell me if there is any way of linking the soundbar to my Bluetooth headphones? If so, please give full details of the type, make and model of device I need to buy, and explain how it has to be connected to the soundbar in order to enable my headphones to pair with the soundbar.Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone, I’ve been using Sonos for a while now, pretty easy to used once you get the hang of it. I recently discovered that for some reason even though my Apple TV seems to connect fine with my stereo pair of era 300 no sound is coming off from then, only from the YouTube app. Can anyone please help before I smash tthem To pieces 

Hello I am new to the whole sonos ecosystem and I am curious if you can have a pair of Era 300’s and a sub gen 3 and have them work together. Do I need a soundbar. Thank you

I’m the proud owner of two Era100 speakers and I was planning to further upgrade my System to roughly 8 speakers but unfortunately something crossed that path.I absolutely love the sound, the design and the features of these speakers but the introduced delay and the missing option to fully remove it destroyed the perfect image of these speakers for me.(And it seems like for other people too: like here, here, here, here, here, here, or here) I want to use the Era100’s in two scenarios:Casually listening to music via spotify / soundcloud / airplay Djing / live-recorded playback via line-in and an aux cable to each speakerWhen buying the speakers, I assumed that the line in would have no delay but this is clearly not the case and can’t be bypassed even though it would be so easy to implement.I’ve created a sample mockup of how this feature could look like in the app:Just disable the grouping / pairing feature during the use of the line-in audio source when this delay option is selected.I

Hi, I like to try and run 4 x Linn Komponent 104 speakers and a Sonos sub from my Sonos AmpThe nominal impedance of the Linns is 6 ohms so I appreciate the answer is probably “No”, just wondered if I set the crossover frequency to, say 90Hz to remove the low frequency duties, i might get away with this?I’ve been running 2 x Linn 104s in another room and they do sound great, but the new room I’m configuring is 30 x 16ft with an 18ft ceiling so will take a lot of filling!ThanksChris

I would like to know what is best sonos arc or sonos beam 2 + Sonos era 100 (2) jus that or with sub bundle??? I have the beam 2, not sure if get the arc or the others to compliment.thanks 

Sonos needs volume normalization. Even services that have it such as Spotify pandora and Apple Music are not normalized when playing on Sonos.

Hi all Good people. During Black Week the Sub mini was down around $100 and i was able to get one.First i add it to my livingroom downstairs along with the Playbase&Ikea BS. I try different placement and try multiple Truplay-runs. Sound was like ok,but nothing more. I really enjoy this room even without the Sub mini. I think Playbase is a great soundbar. Anyway…. Then i moved the Sub mini upstairs and integrade it with the Beam Gen2& Era 100…and i got a Ikea BS stereopair as well. The Sub mini is placed in the front corner of the room. Let me say it like this: the Sub mini outplay Gen3 by far….i’m in LOVE. The tight punch,the dynamic…just WOW. Yes,i’m talking bout performance with Music,not TV/Film/Movies. Just pure enjoyable music. And the size….to be honest,i thought the Sub mini was a small unit….it’s not. It’s somehow bigger than i imagine.I have not watch any movies,only Youtube,and the sound is good(enough). I probobly gonna watch some films in the near future,but i think

My new theater measures 9' wide by 28' long. With the back row of seating at 20'.  What soundbar should I get to pair with the Sub and Era 100's I was already planning to buy?Thank you. 

 I have 2 Sonos arc setup, second one was only bought couple of days back. Other one is in my living room we used to get moderately good sound around level 20, now we have to bump it to around 45 to hear properly and to get good room filling sound have to go till 80. And the new arc is in small bedroom felt that sounded even lower.

We’ve just had a new kitchen extension (8m by 5m) and I’m wondering what best music set up would be? I own a Sonos one but I understand I can’t ’stereo pair’ an old ‘one’ with new era 100…option 1 - buy 2x Era 100 stereo paired and a sub mini grouped togetheroption 2 - by 1x Era 300 and sub mini groupedWhich option would give me best sound fill? option 3 - buy another  Sonos one and just stereo pair with existing Sonos one - and no sub Any advice would be appreciated  

I mean seriously, how understaffed is the team in charge of Trueplay?Everytime when new iPhone models released, it’s not weeks, but months of waiting for Trueplay being available on the latest iPhones.So Sonos, can you check with your team on this years timeline on that?

This might be a workaround for some Android users to get Trueplay without having to borrow an iPhone.   Not an inexpensive workaround, so it's up to your own cost/benefit analysis.   Buy the cheapest iPad you can find.  I found a discontinued model on sale.  It works for Trueplay and has now become my sonos controller.   It sure was a lot cheaper and less hassle than switching to iPhone.  Plus, I get to dip my toes in the Apple waters FWIW.  Hope this helps someone.   

Wondering the best config for a riding arena. I have 4 play 3’s (from 5-6 years ago), 2 fives (late 2023) and am happy to buy another pair if needed. The arena has good coverage (several nodes) from a decco/tp-link wifi 6e tri-band mesh network. I’m wondering a couple specific things. Should I be pairing the speakers or leaving them as individual? Also, will I have a problem trying to connect so many over such a large distance as a “zone?“ Also, will it be better to have them across the arena from each other down the long sides or better to have 1 on each short side as well? Any other thoughts or advice would be welcome as well. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hello everyone, I would like to upgrade my Sonos components to have a really good sound for classical music. I’m noit accustomed to thinking in terms of the new surround sound type of all-in-one speaker, grew up with the idea of 2 passive speakers to create a stereo image. A connection to TV would also be nice. My first thought is the Arc plus two One’s, or the new 100 or 300 series. This can get rather expensive, is it worth it compared to a $2000 pair of stereo speakers attached to my Sonos Amp. I have a Beam and am not so impressed with the sound quality. Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated. 

Sonos Era 100 paired with Sony-PS-LX310BT turntable was working just fine.  Now, no sound.  Have tested Sonos speaker with tv, phone, airplay.  Speaker works just fine.  All updates are complete.  The cartridge is not loose.  Why the sudden issue with the Sony turntable?  What can be done to listen to vinyl with this combination?
