I am stepping towards incorporating Sonos into my existing system and I need help on what I would need to accomplish this. At this point. I have 2 complete home 5.1 theater systems both consisting of wired in wall Polk and definitive technology speakers including powered subs running off of Onkyo receivers. The problem is that I can’t control them as zones or a complete system. I am also wanting to incorporate other small speakers throughout house to eliminate having to turn volume up high to hear in each room. I would hate to have to ditch all the money already spent to remove and replace this quality equipment if I don’t have to. If there is a way to add whatever is needed into existing systems and make them all cominicate and work properly as a whole house system that would be amazing. Please let me know your thoughts.
Why am I not able to search for music? I only have sonos radio for an option.
Have Sonos Amp, Turntable & Five set. Do I need to connect RCA to both speakers?

I have been delighted with my Sonos speakers! I have six One SL’s and an Ikea Symfonisk. The Sonos app has been problematic. It is currently not reflecting a new playlist that I created in Apple Music. It does see my other Apple Music playlists and has updated the AM playlist view recently. The Sonos app did not import any of my AM playlists into Sonos, although it did import music without playlists from iTunes. It errors out when I try to rebuild my music index. I am sure that I am greatly exceeding the Sonos app’s limits in terms of playlists—I have hundreds of playlists and at least 50,000 tracks. I can work around the Sonos app by just playing back from Apple or Alexa via Airplay. Drastically reducing the number of playlists in Apple Music did not fix the Sonos app import problems, and cutting back on my playlists is not a good solution for me.So my questions are: How do you force the rebuild of the Sonos app’s Apple Music playlist view? Why is the AM playlist view
Hi,I have 2 WIFI networks at home. The first [1], quite old using 2.4GHz only, is used mainly for connecting home control devices like air conditioning and other smart home devices. The second [2] is based on 3 Netgear Orbi Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 + 5GHz) with 1 master and 2 satellites. All devices like smartphones and tablets are by default connected to this one for much better speed and coverage in the house. Please note that both Wi-Fi networks are connected to the same router. So, same sub-network.I just purchased a first Sonos device to check if this would provide a flexible solution for streaming music & radio in my home. I can successfully connect the One SL to the old network [1] after connecting the phone to that specific WIFI network as well. But when moving back the phone the new WIFI network, the connection is gone. Of course…On the other hand, I’m unable to connect the One SL to the new network [2]. The connection procedure is always aborted.I also connected the One SL to the wired
We have the opportunity to buy a couple of Sonos units (Sones One and Playbar) installed in the office of a bankrupt company. We will move soon in the office and I would be interested to buy this installation. My concern though is to take control of this installation and attach it to an account we would create for this occasion. The previous owner has vanished somewhere on the planet and it is impossible to get presumably actual account on this system. The question is simple : is it possible to reassign this system to an new account without the credentials of the actual one?
Hello,I’ve got a green ceramic condenser, part of the AMP power supply, totally burn out and my AMP don’t turn on.Does any one know what are the specs to replace it ?Thanks a lot. Daniele
How do I submit a feature request. I would like to disable touch controls on individual speakers within a room rather than disabling touch controls on everything within the room. Moderator edit: changed “group” to “room” for clarity.
Complete newbie in desperate need of help to create a home theatre set up with a recently gifted Arc and Benq 2710i. I’ve searched and searched this community and the web to find an answer but to no avail, even AI failed me. I know it’s probably me, so I’m hoping the experts in this community can help. My equipment is as follows: Sound: Sonos Arc, 2 x Sonos One Outputs: Samsung Frame (2023), Benq 2710i (both have earc) 4 media inputs (Virgin cable TV, Firestick, Blueray DVD, HDMI WiFi dongle for laptop). Here’s my wish list of a setup: output of all the inputs, only 1 at a time, to either the TV or projector and have atmos sound to the Arc. Use the TV media dongle on the Benq 2710i to output sound to the Arc. This last wish I can ditched if it creates too much of a complicated /impossible solution.I expect to need to invest in other technologies to make this possible and that Sonos officials will not be able to make those recommendations, but this talented community can! Thanks in adv
Hi, I would like to come up with an idea that I hope can be solved in an update.I have bought a lot of Sonos for my house and it works great but in the living room I have 4 Sonos One, an Arc and a Sub (Gen3) I have found out when we watch TV you can only use the 2 One that sits in the back so only Arc, Sub and 2 One are playingI find this really annoying and wanted to know if it would be possible to get everything to work together when watching TV?With kind regards
My sony tv has only a HDMi ARC. Is it worth buying a SONOS ARC? If i do want to use SONOS ARC - how do i get the best sound output from it?
I have read that this can be done with the Soros app and it is exactly what I am trying to achieve.I have 2 5’s for stereo which I would love to also use as surrounds, music sounds awful using all as a group that is just not for me.unchecking surrounds and rechecking retuning with the official app is far too time consuming, how hard can it be to save the tune? The posts I have read say, yes just do that with Soros1 click stereo, 1 click surroundsBut not how to do that.Do you start as all separate speakers, as surrounds, stereo pair? And then what?I am sure its easy when you know how.
I have a sonos Beam 2= 2SL speakers and 2 Ikea symfonisk Frames. All are connected tp apple tv 4k and LG Tv that supports ARC. I recently purchase a eArc converter. want to create surround sound. I have 3 questions How to best place all the speakers to get dolby or surround sound where to place my Ikea speakers
I currently have two Sonos Ones setup in a stereo pair in my kitchen/dining/living space (approx 16 m2). The speakers are mainly used for listening to music/radio in one half of that room. What does everyone think will be a better upgrade - adding a Sub Mini to my existing setup, or replacing the Ones with Era 100s?Initially just looking for thoughts on what people think will immediately sound better rather than concerns with future-proofing, etc. which I’ll consider separately. Will adding a sub mini create a bigger overall sound in the room as you would get from bigger speakers, or just add thumping base?
I do not have room to put a sound bar under my TV I do have bookshelves on both sides of the TV. Are there any Sonos options that I could use bookshelves without a center sound bar? What system would you suggest for this room??
Hi There, I have the Sonos arc and Gen 3 subwoofer for some time, and I am in love with sound quality, I just purchased four Sonos 1 Sl wireless speakers, with Stands that I will install today. My questions are:should I connect the Sonos 1 speakers via Wi-Fi or through an Amp? my house comes with an option to add speakers on the ceiling, is this a good idea? I have 6 ceiling speaker ports, 2 in the main Lounge with the Sonos arc and surround speakers, 2 in the kitchen and two outside in a patio/pool area. Would I need 2 amps for this? how would it link to the Sonos ARC?
I’m writing to you after giving up on messing with settings and trying to figure out what is going on with my setup. I am completely puzzled and really need help.My setup consists of:- Apple TV 2022 128GB- PHILIPS 58PUS7805 TV- Sonos Beam Gen 2This TV model has 3 HDMI ports all marked as ARC, not eARC, so I connected the two devices to two random HDMI ports, using the included HDMI cable for the Sonos as I expect it is the best possible for the soundbar (correct me if I'm wrong). For the Apple TV, I bought a 2.1 HDMI cable with eARC compatibility (pretty expensive IMO, but went for the best I could find).I noticed the sound quality differs a lot on YouTube/HBO compared to ATV+ or Netflix. This difference consists in loudness and clarity of sound, I would say. After playing a lot with the settings and audio configurations, I managed to track this difference down to the fact that when the audio format is Dolby Digital 5.1 (on YouTube and HBO), the quality is WAY better than when in Dolby
BBC sounds has stopped working through Sonos app. I've uninstalled both apps but still when I try to add BBC sounds to the app it asks to authorise the BBC account but then goes to a "link not ready" page which just buffers. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Hi. My Samsung remote has stopped turning the volume up on the tv. how do I remove it and re add it.
Recently installed a Beam 2. Paired with a couple of Ones for home theater. Realized Samsung TV no longer displays closed captions. I use a Firestick for streaming. Closed captions are enabled on both TV and Firestick. Any ideas if this is a Beam issue? Thanks.Larry Silvey
I have an existing set up of play:1,3, and one and symfonik. I got the symfonik so that I could use airplay with it and through the symfonik stream to the other Sonos throughout the house. now I have a xgimi home projector that supports sound through Bluetooth. What is the best way to stream to these other Sonos devices?
In my living room I currently have a stereo pair of Play5 for music. I'd like to add a Beam just for the TV. I'm also considering adding a sub. Is there any way to have the sub work with both the Play5s and the Beam depending on which is active? I'm assuming the answer is no, but I thought it would be worth asking.
I have read the thread on no Android integration for Trueplay, but I would hope spending 1500 on a system there would be a better solution than "borrow an iOS device from a friend"! Especially after3+ years!!! First thought, if it is a microphone issue, then standardize your system with 1 mic to calibrate your system with. Yamaha, Marantz, Denon, Pioneer etc ALL provide a setup mic with their systems. Microphones among iOS devices also differ, they are different from year to year and model to model. So that verbage doesn't add up or holdmuch water. Second, before the android bashing begins, I bet the cost of my system if the table was turned and it only worked on android and not iOS devices, there would be a loud outcry of Apple users, especially if told to go "borrow" an android from a friend. Not that this will change anything but I got to express my opinion. I'm the proud owner of a top-of-the-line Sonos system that is"Meh" at best.
Cordialement.Flo.
