I have added a few speakers recently, they will not group play and i get this error. Individually i was able to play music from them and the RAY i added plays on the TV fine but will not group play. I tried to change the network, no difference and same error.
75% of the timeI try to use it my Sonos doesn't work. I have 4 different device and it can't find any system when I am standing next to the router and device.
How am i supposed to connect my move 2 to the updated app ??
My sonos port is connected by wire to my CD player. My era300 speaker is in a different room. Until recently, I could play cds through the era300. Last week, the sound stopped coming through the speaker, even though the app shows it as playing. I've been on the help line twice. When I try synching the speaker while the cd is playing through port, still no sound comes through. I haven't made any changes. Any ideas why this is happening?
Since I changed my WiFi and set everything back up touching the play button on top of the speakers no music plays like it use to. Any suggestions
How do I connect my Play 1 to a new internet supplier
I have an ageing Maranttz CD player that is non Bluetooth. It has Analogue Output L and R at the rear. Can I buy a device that will plug into this output, convert the signal to Bluetooth and then play through the Era100 ? I can see all sorts of devices available but I am thoroughly confused. Two other questions please while I am here. What is the quality like ? Are there better converters to buy ?I understand a single Era100 has stereo capability. Does connecting like this maintain stereo sound ?Thanks everyone for any advice
When will we be able to connect a sub 4 to play five speakers. Please make this happen. Mod edit: Removed email address
Maybe Im missing this - from the phone app, can I still play a music source on some speakers, and a different source on other speakers? Classical upstairs and Rock downstairs (on the same network) from the phone app? I know I’ve done this, but I’m missing something here. Thanks
I am experiencing intermittent dropped sound from random speakers. This was happening several months ago then it stopped, now it has started up again. Occurs on wifi speakers, ROAM and in-line speaker. Doesn’t happen on distinct speakers simultaneously (as far as I can tell). I first noticed it on my kitchen speaker so I swapped it out to other speakers and it continued, so it does not appear to be speaker specific. Can happen with TV, streaming service or iTunes playlist. The dropouts can be anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. WiFi signal is strong (in fact I have an access point in two of the rooms where it has happened.) As I mentioned it was happening several months ago and then it stopped without any intervention, now it has started again and actually seems more frequent. Any suggestions??Thanks
Has anyone actually successfully added their own music back onto Sonos now that Sonos claims we have their permission to do so once again? Just curious.
Hi,I have one Sonos five and want to buy two Era 100. Do you think it's good idea or Sonos five will to much powerful for the 2 Era 100.Is is a good fit or it's better to buy another Sonos five. Thanks
I am, well, I was a Sonos loyal customer. Despite the awful new App released, I still defended and stayed with the brand as I loved the sound, look, build and quality of its products. I had various Sonos Products and currently still have a Bean 2 system, with 2 play1 as surround. I also have another 2 play1 and decided to buy an Arc, to use in my main living room, pair it with play1’s and then, hopefully at Christmas add a sub mini to the system. I went with the Arc, as I thought I was going to be a step up from the Beam I have in the other room, despite the bad reviews online talking about microphone problems. After all these reviews were more a year old and thought Sonos would have recalled and solved the common issue… well, no. Arc arrived. I was really happy. Set it up, added the surround. Played really nicely, happy with the sound. After just a couple of hours in the house, tried to call Alexa to switch lights on, no answer. Microphone was off. Kept going off, every few hours. Con

Recently took delivery of a Sonos ray which fails to connect. Contacted sonos support who said it needs to be replaced. This was on the 6th December. Have heard nothing further ?
I’ve been using the Sonos Arc with BT for a while, and everything was working great with my surround speakers. Recently, I switched to Virgin Media and got the Hub 5 router, but now I can’t get my Sonos Arc to connect. It keeps saying the password is wrong, even though I know it’s correct. It’s been driving me crazy – why is this never simple?Has anyone had a similar issue or found a solution to get the Sonos Arc working with Virgin Media's Hub 5? Any help would be really appreciated!

Afternoon, Hopefully someone can help as I am about to tear my hair out. I have a Sonos one which has worked flawlessly for a number of years. I have just upgrade my router and this is where the problems have started. I performed a factory reset on the router. Go through the pairing, it sends the chimes and connects. I then get a message saying “the device may not initially show up in your device, you need to turn the power on and off again to complete the setup”. I do that but it never reconnects. Any ideas? Thanks for reading.
Hello Sonos community, I am a dentist and I am building a new dental office and want to install Sonos S2 system in my clinic, about 12-15 speakers. Besides those I would like to install microphones that would allow me to call my asistants from each of the 6 operating rooms to 3-5 speakers that would be placed centrally in the hallway. The quality of the mic sound is not important, I just want to be heard. It may be a push to talk mic on the desk or wall, or better a mic that is activated without a button but when you speak close to it.Ex. I may be working in room 5 and would like to call one of my asistants to bring me something from the sterilisation room by pressing a button on the microphone on the desk and I would like my call to lower the volume of 3-5 Sonos speakers located in the hallway playing music and anounce my request. I would like to know if it is possible to connect a microphone in this way and if yes, how can I configure the microphone to the Sonos S2 system?
HiI used to have older sonos speakers from 2013. When I upgraded my home’s wifi, the speakers no longer worked. I decided it was time for an upgrade, so I got one Era 100 and one Era 300.Still, however, the new speakers refuse to work with my network. This is a 5 Ghz network that works with Spotify, Netflix, my work VPN. Some other details:Wifi 6, 5 ghz Security is WPA/WPA2-Personal I have an Android device running the latest version of the app. Have also tried iPhone. What should I look for in terms of compatibility? Something is surely off. Per this page, I should be ok:Supported WiFi modes and security standards for Sonos products | Sonos
I have two Fives, standing up right, and had them paired when I got them. Wonderful. But then there were problems (not sure with the app or the speakers software), and they got separated. Now I have those two in the same physical room, bit now each have their own room label: office and living room. When I try to stereo pair them again, the app allows me to pair (adding this room to make a stereo pair with this room?), the app shows me to direct the phone tot the speaker that is making a sound. I select the left or right. It is configuered and then, when I want to play a song, only one speaker is playing, the one that I had to select. It seems not possible to stereo pair them again. I play them now combined instead of being a pair. But it frustrates me not being able anymore to get them in a pair. If someone had similar issues and got it solved, I would be grateful to hear the solution. Cheers!
Here’s my dilemma with my Sonos Surround system.I have the Arc Sound bar; (2) Era 100s currently used as the Surround back L/R; and the Sub (Gen 3). Work perfectly as home theater setup. But, due to the fact the Arc Sound bar is not BlueTooth capable; and, once the (2) Era 100’s are dedicated to Stereo Surround (which automatically disables them from being BlueTooth operable), there is no way to Blue Tooth music from my iPhone or iPad to play music through the Sonos System. The only temporary fix to BlueTooth music to the Sonos system is to go back into the Sonos app and “Remove Surrounds” from the Era 100’s and then reassign the Era 100’s to Stereo Front L/R and re-adjust the volume. Now, the Era 100’s BlueTooth will work.My question: is there a way on the Sonos App to configure (program) two different listening environments and to easily toggle between the two configurations with just a click of a button. For example: “Configuration 1” would be were all the Sonos components are as
My Era100 won’t keep the coneection and turns off when used with my PC.When playing music from my phone there is no problem. But when I play from AppleMusic and Youtube via my computer it shuts down after about 10 seconds.Other times it keeps the connection for a longer while, but either way, it never actually play the sounds. It is connected but no sounds come out from either my PC or the Era100. The PC’s sound output is always set to the Era100.So it is has nothing to do with bluetooth or wifi connection - those are stable when I use my phone. Also the speaker is located right next to my wifi and I have another Era100 further away, with no issues. And my PC has no problem keeping bluetooth connection with my mouse and keyboard, so it shouldn’t be that either.Hope someone can help?
