I have a Connect and two Play:1 using the new app and firmware. I use a Samsung Android phone as controller. Starting Spotify playback directly on one of the Play:1 (paused on the same Play:1 earlier this morning from an alarm). Works fine. I then try to group the Connect to the Play:1 playing. Seems to accept it, but nothing happens playback wise on the Connect and the app ungroups them again after some time. Repeat many times - even get "system not found" one or two times though it find it again after 5-10 seconds - but no luck in grouping. Only the Play:1 actually plays.I stop the playback on the Play:1, then switch to the Connect, group it with the Play:1, find a playlist and start it - now it works. Is this still a known issue (one of many)? Other things: Opening the app always take at least 10 seconds with "device not found" until system becomes somewhat ready, extremely annoying though I know this is fast compared to some other users. Also REALLY annoying that the widget is gone
Is there a solution for the Sonos dropping out constantly? We will be listening and it will just pause and stop the connection to the music. If I press play again the app says it’s connected but the music plays from the phone. Tried three different phones on two different versions of IOS but it’s been going on for months. It’s really frustrating because sometimes it’s fine, other times it will drop out five times in one song.

HiWhen using roam 2 in bluetooth mode and then pressing play pause button on a sonos one to play the same music through it, which it does but keeps stuttering and breaking up ??The music on the roam remains stable.I try exactly the same with a era 100..same position distance ect and its fine, no break up/ stuttering ? ( Using the roam as bluetooth device not the era....switched off)I have another sonos one and it does the same stuttering/ break up. It does the same whether I press play pause on speaker itself or pair in the app.The same applies( breaking up) if I use the era 100 in bluetooth mode instead of the roam 2 to play bluetooth to a sonos one.I've tried different music apps with my samsung galaxy phone and no luckAny help/ advice much appreciated
I have a Ray soundbar (since 2022) predominantly used for TV sound and a Play5 2nd Gen (since 2017) predominantly used for music.Sometimes I like to play both as a "stereo" set up - though aware that Sonos' true "stereo" requires the same speakers as a pair.My speakers are in the same room (room linked), using the same network with router located no more than 3metres from each speaker.Either speaker can be "Unable to connect" when I try and use the app (which is godawful) to play on both simultaneously. I've never had problems before and this only just started happening in the last month. Yesterday I was playing a song on Ray via Sonos' library then tried to switch to Play5 by using my linked Spotify - the speakers played two different songs at the same time! WTAF??!I've done all the reboots, disconnects, app uninstall and nothing is working. Next step to call Sonos itself.Anyone got any tips? much appreciated!
I love the sound of my Sonos system, but ! I have eleven speakers and two Connect devices. They are all up to date as is the software. Some speakers are somewhat elderly !The speakers are always on and I use the Sonos not only for music but for the radio as well. They are never turned off.I have been having lots of unreliability issues; Speakers disconnecting, being out of sync, the Android app not finding the system etc This was making the system almost unusable.I finally called Sonos Technical support. After sending a system diagnostic report the very helpful person said the memory in the speakers was full and that was the issue. The solution, reboot every speaker !That would be easy with only a couple of speakers but mine are all over the house. Some are tucked away in corners above cupboards etc. They have their own power cables hidden from view so not an easy task. I decided the easiest way was to power off the whole house !!This worked but did mean that lots of other syst
Frequently my Play speaker pair show that they are connected and playing, but there is no sound and the volume control isn’t working. This is sporadic and not constant. I’ve tried toggling the volume control on and off (it’s off). The wifi connection is good. I'm using the app from my iPhone.Moderator Edit - Removed image showing serial numbers.
I literally can’t use the app, this stupid modal dialog blocks me from doing anything - even if some products aren’t updated, you shouldn’t need to prevent all other products from being used. Please god stop updating the app, I just want to use my crappy thousand dollar speakers - idgaf about quality anymore, just need this to work
I have a stereo pair of Ones with a Sub Gen 3, and another stereo pair of Ones on the other side of the same room (Room is approx 8m square). These are grouped together to play as a single room, which on the whole is good enough. Voice control via Sonos is disabled (all microphones are set to off) as it was terrible, but we have an Amazon Echo Dot which is set to play music on the Sonos group as its default speakers. Problem is that when manually starting a new track for this group from the Sonos app (or any other music app that supports casting, E.g Amazon Music, Plex) the track starts ok then about 1-2 seconds after starting the volume dips by about 50% for 5-10s before returning to selected level. This also happens when a new track starts via Alexa voice command from the Echo Dot. Also happens in other rooms where we also have pairs of Ones, given that these are the common element I'm inclined to think they're to blame. The displayed volume level doesn't appear to change in app whil
Hey guys. I am purchasing a Sonos sub tomorrow via Facebook marketplace. I have the serial number please can someone tell me what generation it is. 1302*********** Thanks. Moderator edit: Serial number recorded and removed
The app is not working with my Sonos Era 300, No product found
After multiple threads (since closed) the app still defaults to the wrong room when it's started. Yes, I have a den and yes I occasionally play music in it. But 99 times out of a hundred I listen in the living room. App starts up showing den even if music is on in living room. I've renamed the rooms, deleted and reinstalled the app. No avail. I get why the CEO got ousted - he should be. Hopefully Conrad can return the Sonos app to a user friendly, intuitive and working piece of software.Rant aside - if somebody has a fix I will humbly use it and apologize.
I own 2 Sonos Fives placed beneath my TV on either side of my record player and 3 Sonos One SL's placed in other nearby areas. I was previously running a 3.5mm audio cord from my TV to my Sonos Five and switching between TV and record player in the app. I recently upgraded my TV to a 4k tv that supports Dolby Atmos and does not have a 3.5mm output (only HDMI)I’m wondering if there is a way I can keep my current speaker system to both listen to music and watch movies or do I need to purchase a sound bar? I have looked at the Amp but that seems to be for someone with existing speakers that are not Sonos brand. Any help is appreciated - thanks!
I'll contact after-sales in the evening to check, but I'd like to consult the community if you're having this problem.my product is era 100, android sonos app volume control still has a 5 second delay, is it fixed? my app/system has updated. help!!!there is a sonos reply: https://shorturl.at/fI6KCbut it's 4 month ago, i don't know if you fixed it. Note that I don't think it's a wifi network issue, as my streaming music playback, pause, and resume functions are instantaneous. It's just volume control delay
Hello! i have two the sonos era 100 and i can succesfully connect to one on the app and my phone but for what is the second era 100 i can connect to my phone but not the app.. also when it is connected to my phone no sound from the phone is coming out but you can hear the original noises from the speaker does anyone have any ideas?
I have many speakers through the house, about 7. I really enjoy the sound and have for years and i tell others to get the system. But Why do speakers drop out of wifi and become hard to load back un. Can you make auto reconnect easier? Using fios mesh, setup a specific guest wifi for sonos, yet most speakers drop off, and others continue to work. I reboot when I can.
I have read so many complaints on the😑ir sw. Hopefully they addressed the iPhone won’t connect easy to WiFi , if you system is growing becomes. Almost impossible to install at all. Really whaling to see this one and purchase a system where engineers can solve their Sonos Issues which plague the valulue of money is lessened Sonos is destined to go the way of the cassette player
I keep my iPhone, Spotify app and Sonos apps and devices updated. But my Sonos system has, time and again, shown itself to simply be not up to the job of streaming Spotify or podcasts reliably from my iPhone. I constantly move between Bluetooth and AirPlay, but a single move between them usually confuses the system and produces a glitch which takes time to resolve. Glitches include: * losing connection if a song is paused for more than 10 seconds * delay between speakers * if I send to too many speakers at once, it fails, need to do it slowly one speaker at a timeMost often of all… * looks like it’s playing on my phone, at volume, through any of my speakers, but can’t hear anything Very often I have to switch my phone off and on again and completely start again. Most days. It takes at least 90 seconds to do this. And once every two weeks *even that isn’t enough* and I need to reset the speakers manually!!!It’s been like this for two years.I have bought a standalone non-Sonos spea
Hi there,I am currently struggling with one Sonos speaker that keeps “disappearing” from my system due to, I think, weak WiFi connection where it is. I am considering upgrading to Sky Max WiFi for their WiFi guarantee of at least 25mbps in each room. The small print says if the WiFi doesn’t reach a room I will be sent a Sky Max Pod. I can’t work out if this is a mesh or an extender. If it’s an extender, won’t this make my problem worse? Has anyone experience of Sonos and Sky Max Pods?many thanks,
I have a Sonos One SL, it worked until the last week or so when it completely stopped responding.I’ve done a factory reset, removed and reinstalled apps, reset everything I can reset and it’s stuck in the Error Code 1000 loop. The support documentation says it’s a timeout error but the error occurs instantly when requesting a check for updates.I’ve seen plenty of posts about but the only solution I’ve found that comes close to resolving it is to throw it in the bin and get something other than a Sonos.
Hi, I’ve been using Sonos for over 10 years with no problem, over the past 6 months I’ve been experiencing drop off from a pair of Sonos 1. In the room affected I have 3 Sonos 1 and a hard wired Sonos boost, to try and resolve issues ive reset both speakers back to factory, added a boost, upgraded my internet package to 500 meg had Sonos support dial in multiple times and checked all I.p addresses, no conflicts. Weirdly the other speaker in the room isn’t affected, does anyone have a clue? This is literally last chance before I remove the system all together.

I have two sonos play 5 and three sonos play 1. None of these connect anymore, not to WiFi, not with ethernet cable. Have reset all speakers, routers, deleted system, different devices, reinstall app... The app finds the devices, but if i try to add them it eventually says to ensure that the power is on, and aborts the process. What to do? Connecting these "easy install" devices has stolen hours of my life also before, but now i hit a wall.
I am installing my Sonos Era 300 stand. At step 3, I can’t seem to figure out how to install the washer far enough into the base so that the stand pole isn’t rather loose and unstable. Does anyone who has successfully installed the stand have any tips to make it stable?
Hi Everyone I have a mix of Sonos and traditional wired speakers. Has anyone integrated both types into one audio system? If so, how did you manage the setup and what challenges did you face? Thanks!
