If I initiate music through Apple Music app, Sonos App shows “plying through Airplay” and there is no easy way to switch from Airplay stream to direct Sonos streaming without having to stop the Apple app, terminate it, than restart music playing from recently played on Sonos app. Sonos music search within Apple Music catalogue is buggy and slow so I have to often start music in the Apple app and then fight with switch streams. It makes v. difficult to stream music in the background when you want to watch something else on IPhone on the same time
The response that the SL speakers can be set up on a split system, if you have S1 compatible speakers as the rest of your system is unsatisfactory if we don’t want a split system. We just bought an SL and it won’t play with the rest of our system. We have two connect amps, one connect and one play 5 speaker. We wanted a small speaker to add to the kitchen in the house but to run off the same system/controller. Do you make any products that we can add to this system?
Hi , I tried to connect Era 100 speaker to a LG TV webOS 5.50.15 without results. Both TVs ( I tried in two different ones) recognize it as a Bluetooth device and connect with it, but no sound results are in the speaker when I select the Sonos. In the Sonos app I tried to figure out and it recognized the TV connection . Every forum chat is about ARC and HDMI or optical connections. Not my case . I tried to test the Sonos Bluetooth connection with my telephone and worked. I get sound Thanks for your help !
I currently have my Play:1 assigned to a specific room. I now want to assign that to a new, previously undefined room. There doesn’t seem to be any way to create a new room, or move the speaker that I want to move. The speaker remains stubbornly assigned to its original room.I have tried both the desktop app and the ipad/iphone apps.I have read various posts, but none of the suggestions there seem to work. I am currently using the S1 app as I have some devices which are not compatible with the S2 app.Is there a way to remove the speaker from the system so that I can make a fresh connection to my system, or is there a way to create a new room/move the existing speaker to a new room?
I have two Play 3s and in recent months they have started to cut in and out more and more. At times they work fine and then other times they are infuriating. The music can play for literally 5 seconds and then stop for a few seconds or longer. I lose the ability to control them from the app as the app says it can't find them or my wifi is unstable. They end up having a mind of their ownI have no other issues with wifi and have been onto my provider and even had a new router but this has not improved anything. It gets to the point I don’t want to use it! My son has a Play 1 which is newer and there seems to be no issue with this. Give the age of the Play 3 do they just wear out or lose wifi capability?
Can you hook external speakers to a Sonos Play 3?
Hey everyone! I’m having some troubles with my Sonos era 100 and my bluetooth capable turntable a Teac TN-180. I have these two devices for a little more then a month now and had no issues pairing them and play my vinyls over BT. But from today the two devices are connected and there’s no sound from the era when the disc is playing. I tried to unpair and re-pair the devices countless times, and I also performed a reset on the era, with no luck. The funny thing is that both are working while paired with other devices, I tried the era with my iPhone and the turntable with a pair of Sony headphones. Any idea about what else I could try? Really don’t want to get a line-in adapter since I bought the era 100 and this turntable so that they could work over BT.

Quick question. My wall/windows where the Sonos Era 300 speakers will be placed is at an angle (30 degree angle vs the 0 angle couch) so I would have the left rear channel closer to the corner of the couch and the right rear channel further away from the other corner of the couch. So essentially they would be the same height and length distance from the couch/listening spot but one rear speaker would be 3-4 feet behind the other one.Can true play tuning accommodate for this to create the proper surround sound bubble?Link to Floorplan
Since the latest update my 4 sub five cannot update I spent 3 hours rebooting and factory resetting and it still doesn't work. I suspect the Router/modem may not be big enough Can someone recommend a proven Router with this product?
Arc microphone will not stay on. It always turns off after a period of time. Not sure how long. My Beam 2 did not have the same problem. The system includes a Sub Gen 2 and two One SLs. Obviously voice control will not work.
I have a Sonos one that I was using on my Sonos 1 app and recently purchased some new Sonos Equipment and now I am using Sonos 2 app.When I set up my new network I performed a factory reset on the Sonos 1 and named it kitchen but then decided to put it in my study and later on renamed it as Office. This was ok but later on it renamed itself back to kitchen. I have factory reset it a few times and it keeps on resorting back to kitchen which I replaced with an Sonos ERA 100.In the system menu on the app, I keep on getting two kitchen listings and I cannot find a way of renaming the Sonos One without it changing on its own accord. Does anyone have experience of this or able to offer assistance? Thank you in advance.
I have an odd issue which keeps me going crazy for a few months now. I am using the following devices spread across our house:Play:1 Bathroom Play:1 Office (wired) Play:1 Kitchen Playbar Livingroom (wired) Sub Livingroom Initially I had only the Playbar wired, the rest connected through WiFi.As I kept loosing some Play:1 repeatedly, I changed to SonosNet completely. Hence I have removed any WiFi configuration, wired Play:1 in the office too. All devices show WM: 0 and I never lost any Play:1 anymore.Unfortunately I have the situation, that I can only start a stream (doesn’t matter if TuneIn Station or Spotify) from Play:1 in the office. On any other device I see the “Play Icon” changing for 1 second and going back to Stop immediately. What I have to do, start the stream in Play:1 office, group the other speakers into it, then remove the Play:1 in the office again. This way I can stream music in the other rooms. I already have reset all devices and reconfigured them, it didn’t help.Al
I just bought a pair of Era 100 speakers, which I plan to use in stereo. I bought 1 usb-c in-line adapter to play a portable CD player through the speakers. Will the adapter send a stereo signal to both speakers? Do I need a y-adapter to the second speaker?
I have two sub Gen 3s in different rooms. One in TV Room. One in Family room with additional speakers in both rooms (ARC, One SL). I am buying a Beam for another, smaller room (Den). Can I add a Sub Mini to that room (Den) as well? I know you can’t pair Sub Gen 3 and Sub Mini in same room. Just want to confirm I can add a Sub Mini, in a third room, all on the same WiFi network.
I have an issue that is driving me crazy. Through my Apple TV and certain media through different apps the center channel dialog will play through the left rear speaker. It occurs in Youtube TV and Plex both. I do not notice the issue with Apple streaming media. I have an Arc and Era 300s. Please help!!!
I am trying to wall mount my pair of Sonos Era 100 speakers. I tried at least 2 electricians to install a power outlet near to one of them. Due to various reasons of the house, power outlet could not be installed. My nearest power outlet is at least 13 ft away. The longest available power cable from sonos is 12ft. I could run a 15 ft extension cord closer to the speaker and plug power cable but connector part is bulky and aesthetically it is not an ideal choice. Have any of you faced this problem? How did you solve it?
I have a system made up of 16 Sonos one and one SL speakers in a hotel. When there is a power outage, some of the SLs raise an IP outside the range provided by the LAN equipment.The DHCP range for the network is 10.0.4.x but the speakers take 169.254.x.xThe movile app do not detect this 3 speaker on the wifi network, and this 3 speakers ara at a considerable height so is no so simple to reboot a press the buttons….
HI GuysI have a Sonos play 5 Gen 1 speaker and haven’t had a days problem since the day i had it until now.It has disappeared from the product list and has a constant flashing white light.I also have a play 1 speaker that has ran with perfectly the whole time and currently still does.Ive been through the forums and tried every option including wired to the router. and as a last resort i tried the factory reset, wired and unwired but it wont rest either but the flashing white light still persists.Has anyone got any ideas?Thanks in advance guys
Hi all, So I have a new stereo paired set of era 100 which I have wall mounted which sound incredible! but I will need to cable tidy in trunking to make the wall look tidy and the cables aren’t long enough I was thinking of getting an electrician in to just cut and lengthen the cables but am worried this will void my warrenty I looked at getting a spare cable and getting those lengthened but sonos don’t seem to sell them any idea where I can get some or if I can just cut the originals without warranty concerns. Can you use the line in adapter on one of your Era 100s but play the music through grouped speakers (i.e,. stereo sound)?

Hello, just want to know if my PC is plugged into the auxiliary port of the Era 300, will it possible to play music into all my other speakers that I have or only in the Era 300 ?
Greetings,I just bought a Sonos 5 Bluetooth Speaker and I am trying to connect my Audio-Technica (AT-LP60XBT) but they seem not to recognize each other.Are they compatible at all?Am I missing something?Additional info: I have no other pieces of equipment, just the two. I had a smaller Sony Bluetooth speaker that worked pretty well but I was hoping to increase my sound.
Our system is all the sudden cutting in and out. Speakers show up, play, stop playing and disappear randomly. I have 15 SONOS products and this is annoying. Any ideas?
