I have a sonos one player and i was wondering if i can connect it to my tv for audio output. Can i use sonos roam to do so ? Cuz sonos rome does have Bluetooth feature. Is is possible to connect roam to tv and link roam to sonos one for the same audio output on both speakers ???

You could certainly group a Sonos Roam with a Sonos One.

Because neither are designed for use as a home theater / TV speaker, there is the possibility of a slight delay, which may cause lipsync issues, or not.

Sonos makes several speakers designed for connecting to a TV that wouldn’t have that delay, although all are more expensive (and have a non-Bluetooth connection to the TV) than a Sonos Roam.

Neither will work and even if the Roam could receive the TV sound via bluetooth there would be a lipssync delay that would be annoying.  The Sonos system ensures that sound is syncronised amongst all grouped speakers.  So if you share a sound source amongst lots of Sonos speakesr they will play in perfect sync.  To do this a small buffer is introduced to ensure this syncing works.

For the home theatre range, Ray, Beam, Arc and Amp they rely on an HDMI or Optical output from the TV source and play without a buffer.

So using rey would be the most cheaper & good option to connect sonos one as a surrounded sound right? Or is there any other better option you could suggest? I just wanted an affordable option 😅 and utilize the sonos one i have for something good

Yes Ray is the cheaper option and you can connect a single Sonos One but it would have to be a Pair of Ones.

Technically, a single Sonos One would need to be grouped, and there would be a slight delay between the two rooms when playing the TV input, and you wouldn’t be getting just surround out of it. As @bockersjv suggests, a pair of Sonos Ones could be used as surrounds with a Sonos Ray.

However, if you just want to keep using the Sonos One, you could use the Ray for the TV, and the Sonos One as a separate, non-TV speaker for music, there certainly is no requirement to group them all the time, or ever. In fact, I have a stereo pair of Sonos PLAY:5s flanking my Sonos sound bar which are never grouped, they are there for music purposes, not part of the TV setup.
