I won’t buy another Sonos product. I’m tired of having to go through the set up and reconnection process every single time I leave it for a few days. Sonos needs to make their products as plug and play as Apple for me to come back. I have owned my play 5 for two years and in that time I have had to go through the setup/reconnection process dozens of times. It’s ridiculous.
I have a Symfonisk speaker which I have added some time ago. Due to constant issues with it not being available in the app or for Airplay I have reset it to factory settings and re-added it.everything works fine until the moment when the app tells me I need to register it into my system. This step fails every time.any idea how this can be fixed?thanks
Is this too close to the radiator to place Sonos One? It’s the only place for surround sound with my couch.
Sonos Five the trueplay is lousy the records lose presence and forcefulness even adjusting them do not improve, in Jazz the records have no depth and the reggaeton less and if you turn up the records in the settings the records sound artificial and forced. It sounds better without trueplay and setting the treble to 2+ and the record to 1+ in case and volume 50, you could investigate please.
I have a Denon AVR-S650H receiver which has wifi/bluetooth capabilities. Can my Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 connect to this receiver via wifi/bluetooth without additional hardware? Trying to connect as rear channel speakers with no success. I do not want to connect via cables or cords to the receiver. My research efforts found that I may need the SONOS AMP
I just bought a Sonos Roam to add to my current system of Ray, Ikea Symfonisk Lamp and Ikea Symfonisk Frame. The current system has worked without flaws for 3 months, no problem setting it up. I easily connected my new Roam to the system, and it worked fine the first evening. However, today it is completely broken. First, the Symfonisk Lamp just disappeared from the system. After a lot of hassle resetting it, I managed to get re-add it, but then the Roam stopped working, and eventually disappeared. I reconnected it, then the entire System disappeared from my app. After cutting power to all units and restarting my phone, all devices were apparently working. However, now only 3 of the 4 devices will play at any given time. It seems like the unit I am farthest away from will simply stop playing, but start playing again a few seconds after I approach it, and other units than the Roam randomly disappears and reappears in the “system” section of my app. What is happening here? Why is the Roam d
I tell Spotify on two different Pixel 6s to play music on my Play:1 speakers and it thinks it’s playing but no sound. Same if I ask Alexa to play via Echo. I can see SonosZP on my network. I dropped speakers from Alexa and Sonos app, I have unplugged and plugged in again, same result. Any ideas?
Hi,I encounter a problem with my sonos One SL.My One SL stop playing after one song of an album (store as MP3 on my phone : Samsung A52S Android V12). All the album is on the playlist, and music starts again when I unlock my phone and go on the app.I have no problem with radios so far or others music applications. I check all Android parameters for sleep mode, application not used, battery saving and everything is disabled. My WI-FI settings seems OK.I check different topics but nothing solve this issue.Any idea what can be the problem ?Thanks for the help.
Hello,I would like to connect my Sonos Play 1 that is from 2018 to a video projector Xiaomi Mi Smart that has a bluetooth connection, a usb 2.0 port , hdmi port and a jack port. Do you think it is possible to connect?Thank you!
When I switch my Sonos from tv to anything else, it looses the network connection and all 5 pieces of my system need to be reinstalled. And it looses the connection to the television. Today I can’t even do that. I really wish I hadn’t invested in Sonos. Something is always wrong with it.
Really frustrating issue. Set up is Apple TV 4K to Sony Bravia TV, with eARC to Sonos arc. Every time I listen to something with Dolby Atmos, ~30s in there’s a loud pop and then no audio until I reboot everything. Anyone else with a similar setup and no issues want to share their settings? Based on how long this issue goes back it seems like something Sonos would really want to fix. I’ve had multiple couples/friends that were about to pull the trigger and buy a Sonos system after seeing how well it plays music throughout the house that ultimately decided to go with something else after sitting through a movie cycle of start movie with atmos, get 30s in, startling pop, then no audio, turn off and repeat x3, give up and watch something else.
My system is lagging horribly but only when I play music
How do I factory reset a play 5
I just want to remove a Play:1 from my S1 Controller, and then add it to my S2 Controller. It seems that would be a rather common procedure, but I cannot find it either online within Sonos or on third-party sites.
Purchased a “NIB” Play:3 via Ebay and attempted to connect to my existing system of five (working) Play:1s. Out of the box, the Play:3’s LED flashes white and the mute button flashes green. My mobile device is a Pixel 4XL running an up to date S2 controller app. The app will find the Play:3 and can identify the unit’s serial number, but pressing/holding the mute button does not connect the Play:3 to the existing system. I went through the normal troubleshooting steps (cabled to the router, device w/in 3’ of speaker and router), and never got a green LED.Per the Sonos guides, I performed a reboot, and a factory reset. While holding the mute button during the reset, the LED flashed white 5x, a longer 6th flash, another 4x white flashes, orange 16x, then back to white flashes.Started a chat session with Sonos support, went through the same troubleshooting steps with the agent (reboot, factory reset 3x with the same LED behavior as above), and their determination is a hardware failure. The
I’ve had my house system for 3 years with no issues. Now, for whatever reason, I’m finding always the same three rooms at the same time will drop sound then come back on. This happens when watching a YouTube video . My internet hasn’t changed, have good speed. Attached is a drawing ( rough sketch ) of where all the speakers are located including router , modem , and Boost. Rooms 1,2,3 are the issue. Any ideas? This did not start till last update( app and firmware).
Can you please help my play 1 has dropped out when I try and contact it goes to lounge 2i have all my other speakers in lounge 1 so I try to add it in Fix surround it will not let me put it with the other speakers can any one please 🙏 help
My sonos isn't working and it says not connected to the WiFi. But It is. I've had nearly 4 hours on the phone with 4 different sonos advisers and no joy. Anyone got any ideas please
Hello all,Over the last weeks I started having problems with my Sonos system.I have 3 separate rooms defined:[a] Play:1 stereo pair [b] Play:1 stereo pair [c] Play:3 stereo pair + Sub + PlaybarEvery room by itself seems to work fine. But when I start to group rooms, for example [a] + [b], two problems occur:One of the speakers in one of the pairs goes mute/silent (this one is pretty consistent). When I ungroup, it goes back to work perfectly fine in stereo with the other speaker in the pair. The rooms go out of sync between each other by fraction of a second (this one seems random for now, or it goes out of sync in time). All components are fully updated, all components are on S2. I have a very stable and fast network connection and each speaker is not further than 7m away from the wifi router. I haven’t seen any such problems at any time in my 8+ years with Sonos…Any ideas? Is it a known issue(s)?BTW, is there any kind of “factory reset” for Sonos units, especially the ones I own?Thank
I have a 5 connected by line to turntable. Can I also connect to my sonos system?
bought a used speaker. When I got home and plugged it in it just starts flashing red. I have read that it’s due to not being connected for over 30 mins. As soon as powered on it starts flashing red. I have tried unplugging waiting 10 sec then plugging back while holding the mute button. Doesn’t do anything tried multiple times. Tried connecting straight to router with Ethernet cord can’t get it to do anything either. Took it apart and tried seeing if any burn marks on board it all looks good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi.I gave my daughter my Sonos 5 for her to use but she’s unable to connect to her WiFi.She has tried everything that’s been suggested but still no success. She has even gone back to factory reset but with no joy. All she gets is ‘router not found’ even with an Ethernet cable. What is she doing wrong please?
Why is your s/w so bad? I have 3 sonos1. I just bought 3 sonos sl. I connected one of the sonos sl and now I don’t see the sonos 1 on my app on my iphone. I just see the new sonos sl. what happened to the other 3 sonos 1 and why I cannot see them? Also, I have the reverse problem on my mac, where I see the sonos 1 devices but not the new sonos sl device. Fix this **stuff**! Who has the time to trouble shoot your crappy s/w after paying premium price for these devices?*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
