I have 3 devices (sonos one), when speakers paired (stereo) the sound is perfect, but when one of these speaker is nos paired the sound change very dramaticly and not same quality at all than the 2 others. The configurations are all the same for the EQ. Do you have any solution?
Hey sound gurus.Bought a play 1 for my father in law. He is trying to use it in the garage , which is about 10 metres away from the router. He has a play 3, and a playbar already working with rhe S2 app. He got the new play 1 working fine with the others indoors. Soon as he plugged in the play 1 in the garage it wouldn't log onto the network. I know this is through 2 walls. But I'm quite surprised. Is it worth investing in a boost. And moving the boost closer to the outside wall that faces the garage? Any tips . I want to avoid range extenders
So I’ve got loads of Sonos all over a large house with WiFi extenders and it doesn’t work. I also have to have my Broadband from a local supplier as they have to beam it over fields etc. so unhappy with all my Sonos at the moment
We have been using our SONOS system for years and have not faced any issues - over the last weeks it happens more and more that songs stop playing after 2-5secs. only via the sonos app though. it works fine streaming to chromecast over the same network and play via the same soundbar… network speed is fine, all other apps work.submitted a diag file also:Your confirmation number is: 2120948714. where it happened multiple times within the last 10mins.anything to further debug? anything you can help me with? this was never an issue before but my whole system becomes unusable as i can do this Chromecast workaround only in the Living room - not in all other rooms…
Hello!I have 10 Sonos speakers spread across my less than 1000 SQ ft one level house. I have a beam gen 2, sub, five, and two Symfonisk picture frames in the living room all grouped together. I have 2 one sls in the kitchen with another picture frame. And a picture frame and a one SL in the bathroom. I have plaster walls with metal mesh. I am using sonosnet and audio drops on some of the speakers farthest from my beam gen 2 (my wife's speaker for sonosnet). I also have a sub gen 3 and a five hardwired with Ethernet but have WiFi disabled to avoid any loops. My house 2.4ghz wifi is on channel 1 and my sonosnet is on channel 11. My audio drops on random speakers mainly when I force an action (like click next, or when I click pause not all the speakers will stop immediately) some times for 20+ seconds. Sometimes audio drops mid song without me touching anything on the farthest speakers and then comes back on. I am playing Spotify at 320kbps. I ran a network matrix but everything is green
I just bought the Sonos Port to connect with my turntable, so I can play on Sonos Move. After much trouble I finally got it to work yesterday. I tried to do exactly the same thing as I did yesterday - pick Sonos Move in rooms and then select line-in as music source - but it’s not working. No sound. I doesn’t even work when I plug my computer into Port - no sound. In the app I can see that an external source is connected and that it’s playing. I’ve checked all sound levels, but no sound. Except for one time yesterday (so I know that it’s possible!). Somebody able to help? I guess my problem could be some kind of small stupid thing within the app…
This system is very, very, very unstable. I am tired and disappointed in this system. I have spent thousands of dollars on this system and have had it for years and I am tired of the inconsistency. There are times when the system works well for an extended period of time an then out the blue, it starts the madness. Music skips, some speakers turn off and back on out of the blue. The system is unable to maintain communication with the music apps. The app is complicated when it comes to troubleshooting but the speakers look good. With all this and more going on, NO help from Sonos. No live agent or associate to speak with or ask for help. How are folks suppose to use and/or troubleshoot a system without help? Smh. I know and I have read that people are having the same problem. This is totally unacceptable especially after all the money myself and many others pay for this. I don’t know if I am more hurt or more angry right now. I had wired speakers before these and my system was consist
HiI have bought Sonos Arc. If I want to add external ( from other vendor) wireless speaker with Sonos environment , is it possible ?If yes , then for example I hav ˋ UE Boom 2 ´ wireless speaker and could please suggest how I can add this ?thanks
Hi there, I am kind of over Sonos at this point. We have had a Play 3 for about 10 years and my wife has been having connection issues forever basically. We decided to buy a 2nd hand Play 5 Gen 2 this week from CEX. Go to connect it and the Play 5 cannot be foundWe…. Factory reset → orange / white lights flashing Play 5 - nothing Power on/off a billion times. reset router - nothing plugged Play 5 into network wired. turned off old Play 3 - keeping Play 5 wired. keeps trying to find Play 3, and indeed seems to find it despite being off. Maybe by MAC address without power? wired Play 3 and Play 5 - nothing ended up with Play 3 connected via wired and needed to faff about to get it back.checked bluetooth, it’s on. Phone is right next to Play 5, it can’t find it.I am just beyond understanding where to go next. Any ideas? At what point is the product just faulty and I’m no longer being an idiot. Many thanks.RobL
Volendo una coppia stereo è meglio 2 Sonos one oppure 1 Sonos one e una Sonos SL.
I can connect my move to wifi and my iphone says connected by bluetooth. However the little share button icon is greyed out (unlike my sonos speakers for house and outside). When i click on move it just takes me through tour every time
Hello everyone. It's New Year's Eve 2022 here in the UK and we're enjoying music videos on the YouTube app on our Samsung Smart TV with the audio playing through our brand-new, and really excellent, Sonos Beam. It's raining heavily outside, but we're drinking red wine indoors and waiting for Chinese food to arrive. Our plan is to roll-out Sonos speakers in every room soon, so we'd like to know if we'll be able to enjoy the audio from YouTube (and other TV apps) on all those speakers - when we have them. We subscribe to YouTube Premium, if that's relevant at all. But we think, generally, it would be quite cool to do this. Perhaps to still hear the movie audio in the kitchen when we pop to the fridge for a drink - or to the loo! Or to still hear the YouTube music videos playing on the TV in the living room, while taking a bath in the bathroom. Some advice on this from Sonos experts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, in advance, and we hope you have a wonderful 2023!Brett & Izzy
“There was a problem linking your Play 1 to your account”. I am incapable of progressing beyond this message in my attempt to set up my system. Help please.
I have a pair of Sonos One speakers and a third One by itself. For some unknown reason, they keep not being recognized over an over again. I never had this problem and now I go through all the steps to fix it, it finds my system and all works fine… until the next day I try again and it is like groundhog day all over again. The weirdest part is that my speakers will still play whatever music I had on last time; I just cannot access the system from the phone app to control it.Please help! Thanks.Joshua
Hi, I recently finished my basement and it’s a little odd shaped but mostly rectangular. I have my tv and Arc + subwoofer installed and I can’t decide the best location for the speakers so I can run outlets for them. Which option seems better, option A or option B. Both options will be close to the ceiling away from the little kids, hence why I didn’t consider the stands.
Just purchased a beam gen1. I want to install in same room as a current play5 speaker.will they work in unison?
I recently bought the Amp to replace my old Connect. I play the line in signal via two Play 3’s set as a stereo pair. Since the change to Amp only one of the stereo pair plays the line in signal - Apple Music as source plays through both play 3 speakers. It is not the L/R balance either. Any ideas?
I couldn’t update the speaker so unplugged and connected to the router. That didn’t work so I factory reset it. Now sonos can’t see it to add to my system. 3 days of unplugging and rebooting.
hithe only threads i found are 9 years old so maybe there is something new now. i can connect to the speaker on my windows 11 pc without any problems when using spotify on phone or PC but somehow it’s impossible to use any other PC sound source as a input signal for the speaker. how is this possible? I usually watch movies/netflix using headphones but i want to use my one SL speaker to also use with netflix, not just spotify and if i get this to work i will buy a 2nd one for the stereo effect.
Hi, I'm sure this issue has been well covered here but I don't know where to start.Going nuts trying to connect my new Sonos OneSL speaker to my Sony smart tv.All seems to be ok with the speaker. It has the solid white light meaning it's ready to go but what next please?Apologies but I’m not a tech native and so, for me, the setup isn’t intuitive. Been trying for days.
HiTo cut a long story short, my system is a beam gen 2 - sub mini - 2 x Sl1…………...ok, we had ongoing issues with the Wifi, these are now been resolved - (all other wireless products working fine) the system has been working find until we had internet line go down and had to reset the hub, its taken a number resets and 2hrs on phone to sonos, with no real progress - they said I need to make adjustments to the BT hub, however everything has been working ok till now - I Have now connected the beam - sub and 1 x 1SL, my issue is what ever I try I can’t get the other SL to register to my account - 20 factory resets, hard wire, just won’t work, just about had enough of it now - any ideas.many thanksAndy
Out of the blue, my Play 5 Gen 2 showed offline in the S2 app. I’m fairly certain it’s a failed Wifi card (I’ve done all the usual troubleshooting, rebooting the Boost, rebooting the router etc.) as everything else is fine and the device works when connected via Ethernet.I’ve submitted diagnostic 1258438581. Could someone from Sonos confirm my diagnosis when you get a chance, please.
So I have a new place with ceiling speakers, with no visible branding on them.I have successfully connected a pair to my Connect:Amp, but I would like to parallel wire another pair, but I don’t know if these are 4 or 8 ohm speakers. If they are 8 I’ll be fine (based on the user manual for the Connect), but if they are 4, what is the worst that could happen? Is it possible to measure such a low impedance with a multimeter?
