Hello, I have 8 one SL speakers through a 2500 sq ft house. I had multiple problems with far reaching speakers from the router cutting out on my wifi. I have moved the router to the central part of the house and connected one of the speakers to my router via ethernet to create the mesh sonos network. I’m still having problems with the speakers cutting out (one of them being the speaker that is connected to the router). I have rebooted all speakers, changed the channel on the sonos. My last option is to call my cable provided to ensure that the channels match and the other channels are disabled. I disconnected the wifi extender and live in a house so should not have to much interference from my neighbors. My next thought is getting a boost but before I purchase it I want to ask if that is really going to correct the problem? The far reaching speakers are cutting out but it is happening on the majority of them intermittently. Sometimes I can uncheck the speaker and check it again
I recently acquired a Sonos Move but it has a 2 pin European plug and I live in the UK where plug sockets are 3 pin. Aware that I can buy a plug converter but does it have to be a certain power? TIA
Hi, I’ve just bought a new pair of SLs and they are really good. The only problem that is bugging me is that the left speaker stops a little bit earlier than the right speaker when I hit pause on Spotify. Is it a common thing?P/s: They do start playing music at the exact same time though.
Hi all , hope you can help, I've found on the Sonos site the usage wattage when idle https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/sonos-power-consumption-while-idleBUT what I need to know is there a way of knowing how much wattage is used during playback, I know it can vary but most manufacturers put " max ...w " on the label . I need to know because I'm thinking of adding the mini sub but it would run off the same twin socket outlet as my beam 2 and 1x One SL ( also the tv , sky box and fire stick ) sky box has " max 41 watts " fire stick has " 21 watt " stamped on the plug , tv 140 watts max but nothing on the beam or One SL. One SL has 1a on the bottom but looking at the idle watt page it wouldn't work out right at 1a , using the formula A x V = watt a one SL would use 240 watts but says 6 watts on the Sonos site .
I have a three room setup - two stereo pairs of play 1s downstairs and a single play 3 upstairs. I mainly listen to stuff on Spotify which I usually do through the Spotify app, however I sometimes want to listen to the radio which I use the SONOS app to play.Last weekend radio was working fine. This weekend it isn't working at all. I have tried to play several radio services through the SONOS app along with Spotify. In the case of radio stations, if a room had previously been playing something started on the Spotify app, it resumes play from Spotify. When I try to play Spotify through the SONOS app I get the error adding tracks message.Grateful for any advice.
How should I connect, at the first time, the Sonos One SL to the home wifi?
Hey there,I’d like to connect my Sonos Beam with TV and CD Player. So I’m thinking about buying some CD player for that purpose, could you be so kind and send me some good examples? Another thing is the connection itself, the beam is connected with the TV by HDMI Arc, the CD Player might be connected with HDMI (I assume) but the question is whether the TV will have to be launched for everything to work? Or once the CD player is turned on and the CD is there, the sound will be played by the soundbar? Thanks for help.
With multiple devices, raising the volume with an iPhone raises all devices by the same amount. Id wish for it to be proportional. The use case is that sometimes I use airplay to a speaker that I don’t want to hear and relay that to a room that I do want to hear. Raising the volume in the iPhone turns it up in both rooms which is counterproductive.
I updated my internet provider and changed WiFi and can now only connect one of my three speakers. I even did a reset and got to to the point where the speaker is recognized, it makes the chime sound and then say can’t connect to WiFi? I’m hoping someone has an answer.thanks
I have two One SL speakers (Living Room and Bedroom) and up until today have been able to listen to Spotify on both at the same time. Now all of a sudden I can only select one or the other. I can still listen on both speakers via the iPhone Music and Podcast apps, the problem is only with Spotify (a service you have to add - could this be part of the problem?)I opened the Sonos app and only Living Room was showing in the system, and it couldn’t find Bedroom to add it. I messed around rebooting and connecting to another speaker in Spotify then noticed that my system was now showing Bedroom only, Living Room was gone. This has happened a few more times as I’ve gone through various troubleshooting methods (pressed the button on the back of the speaker, rebooted my router) - each speaker alternates showing in my system, and it doesn’t seem to to based on which is connected to Spotify. Right now I’m connected to Bedroom and it will play, but Living Room is the one showing in my system. Why
We have a Playbar, Beam and a couple of 1 portable speakers, all of which we love. We’d like to add a couple of outdoor (waterproof/resistant) speakers. Here are my questions:Since we have a Sonos system, do we still need an amp? (The Playbar is just off the patio, indoors). Would the outdoor system be considered a new system or can it integrate with our current system? I’m assuming the speakers still need to be plugged in, yes? Do the speakers communicate with the amp wirelessly? Thanks in advance!
I explain my problem: I have a pair of Sonos One, but I can't connect them with my video projector that I recently had. For information, the video projector that I have in my possession is a
When I open the app, it only wants to connect wirelessly. How do I bypass that step?
Does anyone know if this would work? I’ve got 2 x Play:5s set up as a stereo pair. One on the left next to a turntable, one 3 metres to the right next to my telly. The turntable is to be connected to the left side speaker via RCA to line in. I’m wondering if I could connect the tv similarly to the right hand speaker at the same time. ps sorry if I’ve posted this incorrectly in the forum.
2.4Ghz in use. 5Ghz disabled. Mode is B/G/N
I’m trying to sync up Spotify with both my Roam and Beam to play the same song through both speakers. The system in the Sonos app only seems to list one device at a time and won’t find the other when I try to add a product, despite Spotify detecting both products still. So when I choose grouping in Spotify, I can only play through the one device in the Sonos app system. I’ve tried resetting the speakers, apps, wifi and both devices have different IPs but nothing works. Can you help please?
Has anyone successfully connected a turntable to a Sonos Play 5??? We’ve tried two different turntables, cords, preamps etc and the sound quality is terrible on all of them. Please let me know which turntables you’ve had success with! So far we’ve tried Fluance and Audio-Technica. Thanks!
Is it possible to force Sonos to use the 5 GHz band and thus avoid microwave interference?I have recently replaced some old Sonos devices with new S2 capable devices, so I have a mixture of Sonos Five, Sonos Port (all new) and Play:3 (older, not replaced). Three of them are hard-wired to the LAN, the rest rely upon wireless. My home WiFi network supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz (same SSID) with two WAPs to provide good 5GHz signal throughout my house. My problem is that when I use my microwave a number of the devices lose the music stream (which is coming from a NAS hard-wired to the LAN). This suggests Sonos is using 2.4GHz. Is there anyway I can have the Sonos devices just use 5GHz all the time to avoid this issue?
I’m trying to use my Samsung remote to control the volume on my playbar. I used the app to set up IR control but when it comes to the first step, it doesn’t pick up the volume buttons on my remote. The only button on my remote that the playbar picks up is the power button. Whenever i press the power button during the setup, it continues and says my remote is setup. The power button on my remote is being used to turn off and on my tv and apparently control the volume on my playbar. Is there a fix for this?
Hi, code error 6 again… really like sonos but , every 2-3 months there is an issue with the system.. My wifi runs great.. Don't mind paying those expensive speakers but its pretty annoying to always have to shut down things 2-3 times to make things work. is there a simple solution. I have 2 play 5 in one room , Arc SL, 2 ONE SL and one sub in another room.. update required , not working when trying to updated , problem with updating system , not able to update..
Hi, I have a sonos one and a sonos one sl connected together. the system says to do an update but gets stuck on the first stage. i restarted the router, tried from the mobile app and pc; if I start playback from spotify only one of the speakers works but the system detects them both how can i solve? thank you
Hi all I have had a Play:5 at home for many years. My work place purchased some Sonos Ons SLs. I downloaded the new app as the original app couldn’t control these and logged onto the work account to be able to control them from my phone. All worked well...until, I bought a Beam for home! I set this up seamlessly, but as it also uses the new app, unbeknownst it has associated this to my work account. Is there anyway to transfer the Bean registration to my personal account without transferring the ownership of the whole system. Finding it all pretty confusing! Cheers in advance Steve
Hello, I was wondering if I could to improve the quality of sound out of my large tower speakers by connecting my first Sonos amp to the lower speaker terminals at the back of the speaker, and then adding a second sonos amp and connecting those outputs to the upper terminals on the back of the same speakers. Has anyone done this? Did you get any measurable improvement?
My sub no longer is working with my 3 Ones and Beam. when I turn it on in the sub equalizer settings, nothing happens and any bass from my Ones diminishes. anyine have this happen to them? How was it resolved?
I just had long talk with Nick in support. I have TV connected to Playbar and a home theater group (subwoofer + L & R Play1s). Playbar has ethernet. I also have multiple Play1s around the house. I group them all to playbar to hear TV (via audio Optical into playbar). None of the Play1s have ethernet and all are on the same network (via Eero mesh). Problem is with TV playing or anything coming in via playbar’s optical audio (Roku, via TV, etc.) sound often drops (interruption) sporadically from the separate playbars. Not all speakers at once. One speaker drops, now then another speaker drops after but prior is back, etc. So, I can’t hear the TV sound (news) consistently if I leave the living room! Isn’t music (sound) throughout the house Sonos’ concept!?!! It does NOT seem to be a problem if I’m streaming music through the soundbar from Spotify, etc. Soundbar/theater and all Play1s have audio dependably. Perhaps this issue is limited to audio signals passing into the Soundbar from
