ahhh … hours spent with the ridiculous system. After being unable to update the wifi, I finally got the Boost to be recognised only to get the “sign in as the system owner” message. I am signed in. On the app and on the PC. where else am I supposed to sign in? Please let me know where I can sell Sonos equipment I am done with this.
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum.I hope I'm writing in the right section, if not I apologize.I'm asking for your help on the "Sonos Five" product.I just bought it but I have some doubts, I can't adjust the highs and lows through the application, I move the cursor but nothing changes, while the balance and volume work regularly. What could it depend on?I also have another problem with the sound, on the highs it is too bright/sibilant, while the mid range is not very present, could it change with the break-in time? the bass is fabulous!!!Has anyone had the chance to compare the Era300 with the Five? Can the Era 300 have more relaxed highs and a more present mid-high? For the bass, can I add a subwoofer because I don't think it's at the same level as the Five. It's just my simple thought, but if it's worth it I could do it.Thanks in advance for your help.
https://professionalsupport.dolby.com/s/article/Dolby-Atmos-and-Dolby-Audio-over-AirPlay-Application-Developer-Guide?language=en_US just went through this site with detailed guide on how developers can enable Dolby atmos via AirPlay on their devices with AirPlay 2 support yet Sonos maintains the same response that Apple hasn’t allowed third party speakers to use AirPlay 2 for Dolby atmos streaming what is going on? Need clarity as my Sonos era 300 system has been a pain to use via the Sonos app and if I just AirPlay then there’s no point of buying the era 300 as Dolby atmos doesnt work I could’ve just bought the era 100 which is way cheaper and still decent enough for a bedroom sound system
Hi there , my Sonos 1play fell on the floor and I have tried to reset it ,still flashing yellow and can’t connect?

I have a 5 second delay in streaming anything to my play 1’s which are in another room to all my other sonos components.and am wondering if its the way I have them setup on my network. My equipment is that I have a virgin hub but a netgear orbi mesh system plugged into the hub. On my netgear mesh I have the router and two satelites. My sonos estate is such - in lounge arc/sub/2 play 5’s, in conservatory - beam and in a more distant room two play 1’s which is where I have the issue. The room where I have the play 1’s is where one of the orbi satelites (ap’s) lives.I have a ethernet connection from the orbi router (via a small switch) connected into the arc. My orbi mesh system gui shows all sonos compponents as being ‘wired’ as they all are seen as going through that one wired connection (even though of course they connect wirelessly between themselves). I am thinking that if I can get the play 1’s to connect via their nearby satelite that the connection will be better. How do i do th
I'm almost at the end of my patience here. I have a large ish setup (3 x play 1, 4 x play 3, 2 IKEA lamps, beam gen 1, sub mini, playbase, roam, move gen 1, boost) I'm using a technicolour router (supplied by Internet provider) and have a deco mesh network with half a dozen S4 style units. I have 80mb/s WiFi which, for everything else, is more than enough. Been having constant issues with various devices disappearing, becoming unresponsive, not playing, I even had to switch one of the play 1s off at the plug socket the other day as even the physical button couldn't pause my music.I reached out to sonos support, spoke to an agent and submitted diagnostics, we then tried switching my sonos net channel to 1 from the previous setting of 6 and this seemed to work. Until today. I'm back to where I was last week. Same issues, several speakers not showing up, even one half of a stereo pair just not working.Everything connected to the system is up to date (literally JUST checked), I've switched
Hi , Set up a full system for a friend recently then set up an another Beam Gen 2 yesterday for him. Added the Beam to the system and it asked for a “sign in from owner” When I signed in he gave me a different email address and the same password. The system now works in both areas together by linking them or not but one room (beam) has voice control and the main room doesn’t. Both work through the app. We’ve reset passwords etc but no luck. It’s like it’s two different set ups with different login details. Every time I try to do something on the app it’s asking for sign in. Should I delete both accounts or add another system and forget existing system? Haven’t set these up in a while. Thanks Scott
I have 7 Sonos speakers (somewhat unfortunately right now) and control them using the Android app. For me, I regularly update and have to power cycle some of my speakers regularly just to make them work. I mostly use a music library that is on a NAS. As much as possible, I have the sonos speakers connected by LAN vs wifi. What is still broken for me:I have an Era 100 and an Amp on smart switches as I need to regularly power cycle them for the sonos app to recognize them. This is needed about 50% off the time. About 25% of the updates, I need to power cycle the speakers for the update to be successful. For my Sonos Move, that is actually 100% of the time I need to do that. Music Library: when I choose to play a genre OR a playlist, it only works 25% of the time. Most times the app just spins. It NEVER works when I try to start it by pressing the randomize option. I always have to start it using the “PLAY” button and then once playing I can randomize the list. It always fails when I try t
I have just bought a Era 100 speaker. I wanted to use it as a Bluetooth only speaker (connecting to my Spotify on my Samsung S24) but quickly found out I had to set it up through WiFi, despite not having WiFi in my flat. So, I took it to my girlfriend's house and set it up through her WiFi (which was a painful experience btw). I then activated Bluetooth and it seemed to play fine, without any issues. So, I bought the speaker home, I connected my phone to the speaker via Bluetooth and started playing my music. To my horror, the music kept cutting out, for a second at a time, several times per song. I rang the Sonos helpline and was told that because I don't have WiFi in my flat, that this Bluetooth performance is normal, which I think is outrageous. She asked me to submit a diagnostic code through the Sonos app, which I did. She then asked me to playback music from Spotify to the speaker whilst talking to her, but it wouldn't play through the speaker. At this point she gave me a referenc
I’ve taken two play 1 speakers to a house to use while on holiday, but canning get them to connect. I have one plugged into an Ethernet port on the wall but cannot tell if it is live or not. Please help.!?
Like many others, I've been experiencing issues with my Sonos system; it has become unreliable and unpredictable. I'm getting used to the volume control lag, but the frequent stream dropouts kill the vibe. I'm running the latest version of S2 and trying to listen to Pandora through the Connect that controls the ceiling speakers in the kitchen, the Move in the dining room, and the two Play 3s and Sub in the living room.I’m trying everying: Tripping the main breaker in the house to turn off my router and all 11 of my Sonos speakers at once is more effective than unplugging each one individually. I recently read a post claiming that the first speaker added to a group becomes the "master" while the others are "slaves." Is this true? If so, how should I decide which speaker to add first? The oldest device is the Connect, which sits about 50 feet from the router. The Play 3 and Sub group is closest to the router, while the Move is the newest device and is between the others. Is there a way t
Hello everyone. I have a question. I just bought a move 2 as i wanted to replace an old iPod station turned into a bluetooth speaker ( a Geneva). I really like it but the truth is that i dont use portability a lot ( just to take it with me on my deck occasionaly). I was thinking maybe to change it at the store for a pair of era 100 (and a roam for the porshe) but i am wondering if two era 100 which would produce quit a better stéréo sound can also produce at least as much power in term of volume as the move 2 as i think is just enough for my living room in a party situation case. Thanks a lot for your answers
This morning I was sitting with coffee and digging around in my orbi mesh. I noticed all my Sonos devices connected are listed as zone player 100. OK, not a big deal other than one is connected on the 2.4 mesh. So off I go trying to ID what it is. The only identification in the router that differs are the MAC addresses, of course. On the speakers the only identification is the SN. What am I missing here? Are we not given an easy way to ID the hardware at network level?
I have a pretty basic question for you guys..I have a sterio pair of Era 100s in a rec room. I am considering a second pair in the room for better coverage at lower volumes. Following the APP build the 4 can be controlled by setting up a "room" but my only concern would be any delay between the 2 pairs. I have an Orbi mesh system that covers the house well so I'm sure both pairs will be on the same satellite so I'm not expecting an issue there but only concerned with the 2 pairs in the same room. What are your thoughts about this?
Afternoon all. We have a wired network in home environment. On top of this we have approx 12 Sonos boxes, all S2 and none so old. The NW is comprised of 2 x 48 port Netgear PoE switches (very recent ones) and a Netgear Orbi wifi 6 router (an RS853) with 5 (RBR850) satellites. Also fairly up to date. All vanilla, out of the box settings. All FW up to date. There are maybe 4 small 8 port PoE switches attached also in odd parts of the house.Performance on the NW is not so good these days and in fault finding, I was told and sent links saying that Sonos is notorious for impacting NW performance. Have to confess this was news to me.But just to ask please, are there any optimum settings or best practice, for a wired environment that we would be wise to make? Even just to eliminate Sonos as the suspect or source? We ran a wired environment very much to avoid performance issues. It would be good to know that we have Sonos set up in the best possible way. Advice, articles or solutions would be
Heya,as stated in the title im looking for a solution to link 2 sonos 100 and 1 sonos 300 speakers.i bought them for my father, the first 2 sonos 100 were easy to set up.i linked them to a room without a problem, they are now listed as stereo pair. the problem is the 300 speaker. as i try to assign it to the same room it just creates a copy of it with only the 300 speaker.so now i have “room” with 2 x sonos 100and “room 1” with 1x sonos 300ideally i would like to assign both to the same room but it just does not seem possible on the iphone sonos configuration app.i know i can select both rooms in the sonos app to play something but this means i have to do it everytime media changes ( like media from a connected phone, tv or by selecting something in the sonos app)there is no shot i can explain this to my father so im looking for a foolproof method to couple the speakers. im open to using different apps as the “sonos experience” is giving me low key cancer.thank you all in advance.
Can anyone help get me to the upgrade page? I keep getting directed to my account settings page when I click on the “Upgrade Page” link on the Sonos site.
I am not able to get any sound out of my speakers when playing from Itunes in Windows 10. The Airplay supported Move 2 speakers do show up in Itunes and I checked them to be used but no sound comes out. This is a second question:I also can not get my Itunes playlist to show up in the Sonos App “Imported Playlist” folder. Nothing is in the but y itunes library has many playlists. I have recently indexed my library in Sonos and, of course, my itunes file folder has been shared. It does index with no errors.
Everyday i open my ERA 100 one of the stereo paired speaker have no sounds, i also noticed that everytime i add my mini sub one of the speaker will deactivate the sounds, i tried to reset all but still the same issue.
I was despairing getting clear voice on a pair of Sonos 1s at low volume until I found if you face them backwards with the rear towards where you are voices are suddenly clear and prominent! Give it a go as I was about to give up and try another make.
Why I am not able to add era 100. I am on repeat update app

I have a new broadband network and have connected the old sonos connect amp gen 1 via the Sonos S1 Controller app. So far so good.Unfortunately I made the mistake of connecting the three play 1 speakers to the new Sonos app. I am trying to downgrade them to S1 but as soon as I try to connect to the new WiFi the speaker cannot be found. This is driving me mad. All this pain because the old connect amp isn’t supported by the new app.Any suggestions for getting this downgrade to work and to get the speakers connected to the s1 controller app?
Hey!I have found a solution to the problem where my Iphone does not find the sonos system from time to time. And sometimes not at all. The problem was that sonos have godt an IP adress like 192.168.68.55 , but the network my phone was getting from the mesh network was 232.168.xx.xxThis means that they wil not connect together. The soultion was to turn of the 5G and airdrop, set wifi of and on again and then chek that the phone connects to 192.168. ***. ** Then i got in to the Deco app ( wifi app). And got to the advance menu. Here you want to set a permanent IP adress to your phone or device. I found the IP adress that is on the same network as sonos (but ofcourse the last digits is diffrent) and set this up as the IP adress that i want the network to give to my phobe each time it conects to the network. After this it has been working just fine, no more problem. ALSO! You must make sure there is no spesial symbols or “Æ, Ø, Å” in the networks name. Change this and resett wifi for
