Why is Truplay still not supported on iPhones with ios17? It has been weeks now, and I am now actually on iOS 17.0.3……Sonos makes a big thing about this feature yet they appear to not be in any rush to sort this!
I am unable to setup Alexa, or Sonos voice control for that matter, but Alexa is the main issue. Each time it goes from ‘Sign in to Amazon’ to ‘There was a problem adding Alexa’. It’s on my network, as I can play music. I did a factory reset, but no luck. This is very frustrating for a new product and new Sonos user. Thanks in advance!
Hi,I have a Stereo Pair of Sonos Fives and wanted to know if i used them as line in would they drastically sound better than using Air Play 2?I have a DAC which is a FiiO K7, so i was going to run this from my Mac or IPhone to line in to the 5’s. Do the 5’s have an internal DAC and will this be a problem using my K7?Also, I’m wondering if i can’t be bothered to hook up my devices, could still use Airplay? This will be mainly for my partner who doesn’t care about sound quality. I dont want her going anywhere near my DAC while it is connected to my 5’s = Volume blown
I’ve used SONOS products for 6+ years and never had an issue. I purchased an ARC last year and couldn’t get the product to register through the app. I’ve called customer service a couple times, last time spending more than an hour doing the same activities (reboot, factory reboot/reset, router reboot, hardware into network). I can not get this device to register, which means I can’t control sound from the app (which is one of the handy features). I’m curious if I have a defective device but I’m trying to find the receipt from Best buy (think it was after last Christmas). We are running an Eero router/wifi (aaris router) but unsure if that’s the issue. I’m open to suggestions but we’ve tried everything….
I have two Sonos Play 3 units both in perfectly beautiful shape, barely used. I have called Sonos support about 5 to 7 times over the past few months. They told me that Sonos 3 is no longer supported and they will send me a 30% coupon. No one has ever reached out again with a response or a product mail back label. The speakers are expensive, include many non recyclable parts and a lot of non recyclable plastic. These two large speakers no longer work because Sonos decided to make them obsolete with new software and created no fix to keep them working with new systems. Really? It will be 2024 soon… is this how Sonos as a company acts in alignment with its values? I don’t have much discretionary income… single mom, 4 kids in college. I splurged on these systems 3 years ago because all my boys are music lovers. I keep calling to get them to work… but they never will again. The newer version similar to Play 3 is the Sonos 5, is 749$. I am taking this note… writing it better and postin
Every time I reboot my router ( for example due to an upgraded firmware ) my sonos one loudspeaker is losing its radio station and I have to use the app to set the speaker again to the station.Isn’t the speaker able to keep its preferences ?I use a lan connection to my soundbar and the sonos wifi networkApart from this my setup works really good.
I have my dad’s old records and record player, I would like to get a nice speaker to enjoy all of this vintage gear, however, I don’t have any speakers to play it on. I currently have an Arc and it would be nice to add a Five or some Eras for surround sound movie listening in addition to record listening. My question is if the line-in to the Sonos speakers digitizes the input or if it will remain analog as long as it’s not streamed to the Arc and surrounding speakers?
I have an Eero network and existing Sonos system that has worked beautifully. I purchased new Era 100’s and tried to connect them as I’ve done in the past. Everything goes smoothly until I have to select my network and enter the password. Sonos is detecting my network name properly but adds a bunch of letters slashes and numbers after it and won’t allow me to connect stating my wifi password is incorrect. My existing Sonos products are connected to the correct wifi. Help!
Comment connecter 2 enceintes SONOS One à un téléviseur ancien (sans connexion Wifi) ?
HiNew to the Sonos ecosystem. I’ve been gradually building my range with era 100s and recently with a era300 with a sub. The speakers are scattered all around the house for the holistic music experience. We’re currently in the process of repurposing as room into a pseudo-Study/Games Room. The plan is to setup a TV with a soundbar, rear surrounds (era 100 or 300s) and a sub - to be acquired. The aim is to have the flexibility of playing music through the era 100/300s in stereo with sub normally and while watching Tv have the soundbar and the era’s as surround speakers with sub.I can't seem to find any information on whether this flexibility is possible. Any feedback/recommendation on the above would much appreciated. Thanks
I have used an iPod connected to Sonos 5, years ago. The playlist was exported from iTunes and filed under iTunes/music folder. Is this how era100 line-in works as well?
Hi, I’ve had my Sonos set up for about 6 years. Suddenly it stopped playing music in 1 room. The rest of the rooms work fine. I reset the wifi and it still doesn;t work. In the App the room still shows up and can be controlled but there is nothing coming out of the speakers, What can I do? I did a diagnostic and the confirmation number is: 2002101329.
Hi,I have two Sonos systems;Sonos Roam Sonos Arc connected with two Era 300 and one Sub Gen3Both are connected two my WiFi and they work independently. My WiFi is set such that it support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under the same name.I haven't found a way to show both systems together in my Sonos app V15.9. Currently both products are connected to the 2.4 GHz radio of my WiFi network (yesterday the Arc was in 5 GHz, and the problem was the same). If my phone is connected on 2.4. GHz, I can only see the Roam and if my phone is connected to 5 GHz, I can only see the Arc. Why is that?I don't think it is a problem with the router since I can see the Arc which is connected to 2.4 GHz even though my phone is in 5Ghz.Also my Spotify app always is able to connect to both devices. Why can't the Sonos app see both product together? This way I am not able to group the speakers, which was one of the main reasons I decided to go for Sonos. Thanks for any help!Daniel
Hello,I have latest arc and sub and I have a problem with airplay 2. Every time I try to use it window just shows up and it’s saying that “can’t connect to device”sonos arc””. Arc is connected to tv by hdmi to optic converter because my tv is old and doesn’t has earc. Arc and sub is connected to the 2.4ghz WiFi. Thank you

Is it a known issue that One SL has problems connecting to hidden SSID?
I want to add a stand alone speaker to my zoned system. Can I add either of these speakers to my other zones which are amp to ceiling speakers? Secondly which is better? thanks.
has anyone found a workaround for playing my own MP3s from my Android device since Sonos very unfairly removed this feature? I knew I should have gone Bose :-(
I have a beam & two Sonos one gen 2 speakers which have been set up as a surround system for a few years, occasionally I've had issues where one or more speakers isn't connected but it's usually easy to fix.Today one of the 'ones' was disconnected, nothing I did would reconnect it, so I did a factory reset & it was then back in the Sonos app, but no matter what I do it won't reconnect to the beam & other 'one' as a surround speaker. After a few hours I just went back to try to join them all again & now it's disappeared from the app again. I'll get on to support tomorrow but the lines are currently closed. Does anyone have any idea in the meantime? Thanks 👍
Hello.Currently, we have a Sony receiver that our TV, Apple TV and turntable all run through. They exit through a pair of speakers. Each speaker has 2 banana connectors that come out of the back of the receiver. We were gifted a Era 300 (just one) and would like to use that to replace our speakers. My question is “Is this possible?” and if so, “What do we need to make it work?”. I do not have much experience here so perhaps this is a really easy issue to solve. I appreciate any guidance someone can offer! Thanks in advance.
We’ve got a Beam gen 1 and two Era 100s set up in surround right now. We’ve also got an Audio Technica turntable that could connect to one of the Eras through bluetooth or the line-in, but they are disabled in surround sound mode. The only option seems to be setting up the Eras as a stereo pair *every time* we want to play the turntable and then grouping them back with the beam *every time* we want to watch the TV. It’s such a lot of bother to do this every time, and if we want Trueplay calibration we have to set it up like new *every time*. It’s this or buy a massively expensive Port unit.Is this really the reality? Am I missing something? Can Sonos not streamline the switch to some degree? At least remember the Trueplay calibrations for each setting?
I have two SL1’s and two Ray’s hardwired via ethernet and three SL1’s using WIFI.Randomly ALL of the speakers disconnect then reconnect.I’ve done the recommended router reboot and unplug/plug in of all network attached devices.Problem has only recently started occurring. All Sonos components are running the latest patches/upgrade and the App is latest (per Apple App Store).Sonos OS = S2Version = 15.9Build = 75146030Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
I just received a Sonos One (S2) that I’m having issue’s connecting my Macbook M1 via airplay. Every time I try and set the Sonos device as the Output it prompts me with “Could not connect to “device name”. I am however able to get music to play through it when I open up Spotify on my Macbook but I can't set the device as the output when I want to watch something on a browser. Both devices are on the same wifi network, i’ve power cycled and ran through the setup on the Sonos twice and updated the software on my Macbook to the latest but still no luck, please advise.
I have dumb speakers i use via an integrated (Marantz) amp. I just bought a Sonos Connect, hoping I could use that to make the dumb speakers part of my Sonos set up, but can’t get them working to stream music as I’d hopedI’ve connected the Connect via RCA cable to the amp. And the Connect is being recognized via my Sonos app. (It’s powered up and named). My other Sonos speakers are working. Not sure where I’m going wrong with the wiring of Connect to amp. Or did I misunderstand what hardware I needed to get my dumb speakers integrated to my Sonos set up??!! Thanks for any advice or ideas
Hello,I have been using Sonos devices in vairous rooms of my house : Arc + Sub + 2 One in the living room, a pair of One in 3 other rooms…The device that is monitoring the use of my solar panels turns off the sockets in the rooms where nobody is. Hence my Sonos system is most of the time incomplete (with disconnected speakers). In this situation, the Sonos App struggles and takes a while before letting me play music and then does not run smoothly…Would you please consider this use case and make it work better ?Thanks.
