Arc, Sub and Era 300 are setup in a surround, however is it possible to have the 300 and the sub as a stereo without the arc, and I can name it as something random. Placement location will not changed.
Hi,I recently purchased a Gen3 Sub, Arc and Era300. All speakers have connected to the system perfectly fine. I am able to connect / link my sub to the Era300 speaker perfectly fine, but when I try and connect it to the Arc, it gets gets stuck, and I have to reset it. I’ve factory reset all speakers multiple times, changed systems, etc. No idea why it’s working with the Era300 but not the Arc. Any help would be appreciated!
HiI have 2 Sonos Era 100 paired as stereo speakers. I use them for TV and streaming. But i almost everyday need to reset them (power down and up again) and set my Google Nest wifi as network for the speakers. Is there a “no go” between Sonos and Google Neste wifi here?I haven’t done anything with the setting in the Nest router, becouse it works very good with every other device that is connected to the router. This includes Siemens Home Connect, which is known to be hard to set up with some routers. Are there any quick-fix for my problem? I would be really greatful for any answers that could help me.
After 2.5 years of using the speaker, despite no changes to the home network, the app on the phone stopped seeing the speaker. It was still playing the previously indicated radio, but there was no way to control the speaker from the app on the phone. After deleting the data in the app and logging back into the Sonos account, the system was still not visible. I reset the speaker to factory settings but even though it is searchable on the network, no communication can be established with it to add it to the app.I installed the Sonos app on another phone to verify if the problem persists. Unfortunately, but here I can't add the speaker to the app either.Any advice?

Hi there,I’ve been a Sonos user for 10 years now (maybe longer) and have amassed quite the collection. My hub is a Sonos Boost (about my system below) that is hardwired.Every day for the past week I’ve been waking up to random speakers disconnected from my network. One is 4ft away from the Boost, and the others are a bit further. I’ve lived in this house for 2 years now and all the Sonos’ are in the same location.I’ve unplugged, waited 1 minute, and powered back on the Boost. The missing speakers don’t reconnect (even after hours).Historically I feel like if there was an issue with a speaker, it would eventually reconnect. The speakers that are disconnecting are all older gen: 3 Play 1s and an OG Playbar. My office Sonos is a Play 1 and is a few feet away from the boost with no electronics or metal in-between. We don’t use the microwave and we don’t have cordless phones. When it’s in the disconnected state, I can see it in the Android App as “Not Connected” (but cannot see it in
Room 1: a playbar, sub, and 2 x play:1s connected via Ethernet Room 2: a play:3 Ethernet connected. Hallway: a boost connected via ethernet Room 3: a play:3 connected via wifi.More and more frequently the audio keeps dropping in and out, I put it down to the fact I often group the wired and wi-fi device. However, I was going to run a reel of cable to the other room and while pottering around getting ready, I realised the audio is only dropping out in room 1.Anyone experience of this? hoping diagnostics reveal something: 1284470013
I'm considering expanding my Sonos system with additional speakers. Can anyone share their experiences and recommendations for creating a multi-room audio setup with Sonos? What are some tips for optimizing audio quality and synchronizing playback across different rooms?
I have 2 Sonos Ones and a Sub Mini as my Living Room system. I also have a Sonos Move based in the same room that I have to connect to separately. I recently got a new modem and so changed my network settings. Since then either the Living Room system, or the Move, or both, constantly drop off Airplay. They are still connected to the app, but just drop off all my Airplay lists on all my devices. When I unplug them and turn them back on, they reconnect to Airplay for a couple of hours, then drop off again. It’s driving me mad! I’ve tried various sequences of unplugging the modem, unplugging the speakers, unplugging both, but nothing works for more than a few hours.I know similar questions have been asked before, but I can’t find any solution. For context - I don’t use Mesh or extenders. The Wifi is good (speed tests at over 200 mbps). The speakers worked perfectly before I changed my modem. The firmware is updated. My other devices (Apple TV, iPhone, Macbook) all joined the new network an
I’ve been following the instructions to downgrade my Play:5 (Gen 2) to S1. I’ve factory reset it and waited for the flashing green light. However, the S2 downgrade process under support in the app always says “We can’t find a product to downgrade” with a Try Again button. I’ve tried maybe 12 times, nothing. I’ve tried wifi and ethernet, nothing. When I search for it in the S1 app, it finds it but says it needs downgrading from the S2 app first. Please could someone help?
I have recently found some tracks on my PC can't be played on my Sonos system. The error “incorrectly coded" is the reason for skipping the tracks. These skipped tracks play fine on Windows media player and were taken off CDs mainly using the same process and setup as all the ones which play fine.
I have a pair of speakers that have worked well together for a year. Now only one is playing. The other boots ok, shows solid white light, no sound comes out.I was playing with the buttons. In the app I get this display; Living Room (?+R)How do I reset them?Ed
I can't see my device on Sonos app but its already registered. I've got 5 but show 4 on Sonos app. Moderator Edit: removed identifying information
Hello All,I was fighting an issue that ultimately turned out to be my main router having an issue, but I did discover that I could not connect my Sonos devices to my 5GHz network because it had an underscore in the name. Once I took the underscore out, it connected fine, but I hate the way the network name looks now lol. Is there a list of acceptable special characters in an wifi SSID for Sonos devices?
Is it okay to keep the subwoofer above the ground rather than keeping it under the ground
hey there,6,000 yoga studio running speakers in 4 rooms on one network.the front 2 rooms are on the home router, the back 2 rooms are on an extender.were having issues with the back two rooms dropping out-specifically one of the rooms (called jade studio) more than the other (called marble studio).we’ve added the extender for jade and marble which made it a bit better but some of our yoga instructors are still reporting problems. we have both iphone and andriod users and it doesn’t seem to matter. further most of them are airplaying right through spotify.i’ve looked for anything that could cause wifi interference and dont notice anything obvious. there are metal beams and our heating panels are metal but this same set up exists at the front with no issues. help?? thanks in advance for any insight!
Hi, I recently bought a ERA 300 and I am having issues to add it to the existing system using the S2 app on my iphone. Which button should I press to connect to the S2’
I’m trying to connect a used play 3. I reset the speaker several times, the Sonos 2 app only recognized it after I connected it with an Ethernet cable. The app sees it now but only gets to the prompt “press the mute button on the speaker you wish to connect”. I press the button and after it times out I get the message saying the button was not pressed.
Thinking of buying a Sonos era 100. Sonos show only the line in adaptor to connect a 3.5 mm jack to the USB input for Sonos era 100. Can I use a standard USB c to USB c cable to connect a Google pixel 7a phone for audio?
Bonjour après un changement du système wifi il est impossible d’avoir les 2 paires d’enceintes ensembles. Je trouve ou les play 5 ou les play 3 mais pas les 4 ensembles. Hi Guys, I need your help.I have two sonos Era 300 as surround setup with my arc and sub 3.now I know the front speakers on era 300 are disabled (big shame on sonos not to give us option to choose if we want them to hear or adjust) now even when I remove them from surround and play atmos music on apple music via Sonos or any music I cannot still hear the front speakers at all. Are they working at all? It is very unlikely that both brand new Era 300 are broken. Is there any way how to test the front speakers on his own please? Any links? I have tried everything youtube videos, atmos music, flac music, mp3 and still cannot hear them at all music comes from behind. Now like I said this is happening even when they are not part of surround and setup as stereo speakers. It will be really helpful if Sonos give us possibility to control the front speaker and others as well to test them to make sure that all works properly. Thank you for all for your big help and any suggestions how I can test

Hi, I have a Sonos Connect:Amp connected to a pair of Sonos SP100 speakers, and I’d like to upgrade to a newer Sonos product, mainly for Airplay compatibility and general flexibility of use, and hopefully better sound quality of course. I use my sound system in the living room, which is roughly 20’x16’ (6mx5xm). I listen mostly to classical music; we also like to be able to use the sound system when watching films etc. Ideally I’m looking for a good overall sound from any point in the room, rather than one sweetspot… My hesitation is between these 3:Sonos Amp (connected to my old SP100 speakers) Sonos Five Sonos Era 300 Any recommendations? Can you help me choose? Thanks a lot,Max
I have a PLAYBAR, SUB, and a pair of PLAY 3s. I am unable to select those speakers from my phone, if I want to stream a podcast, for example (they work just fine otherwise). I was told by SONOS that it is because they are older, and do not have Bluetooth, but if I ADDED a simple SONOS Bluetooth speaker to the system, that I at that point would be able to select the entire system to play, from a phone source like a Podcast. Does that seem correct, and would a ROAM speaker qualify for that? It is Bluetooth capable. Thanks
I recently renamed my home router and now my speakers are not working.
