HiI currently have a Sonos Amp powering a pair of non-Sonos ceiling speakers. I would like to put additional speakers at the far end of the room. For logistical reasons, running cables will be tricky, so I’m looking at the Era 100.My question: Could I have a pair of Era 100, working as a true pair, in the same room as the Amp, and have everything play nicely? Thanks Jim
Good day, I have the following SONOS setup in my flat (65m2):2 Five, 1 Sub - Living room 2 One - Kitchen 2 Play:1 - Bedroom 1 Play:1 - BathroomConnected via Sonos Boost (Boost is connected directly to a UDM Pro Port, same default VLAN), all stereo pairs except in the bathroom. All updated to the latest version 16.1. Normally all speakers play together / all rooms are selected to play the same music.I have the following issue:Very often (but not always), when I start playing music from the mobile app (android 14, tried on a Pixel, Samsung and Xiaomi device), only 1 speaker would start play in the stereo pairs (always the same speaker, the right one) when various rooms are selected to play. The other speaker in the stereo pair does not play music (no matter if streaming or local). In order to get the second speaker in the stereo pairs to play, in need to unselect all rooms (let only one room play), as soon as I unselect the rooms, the room that is remaining active for playing music cuts
Hi All, before I was getting pop pop pop feedback on my Era100’s when adjusting the volume on the soft touch control. I noticed its now gone. How to I turn this on again?
HelloI am a Sonos ARC user, which I only use with the TV.I am interested in complementing the equipment with a pair of ERA 300 with the intention of integrating them with the ARC with the double intention of adding surround speakers for home theater, but, above all, to listen to music in stereo. In my humble opinion, ARC as a stand-alone speaker, does not seem to me to stand out to listen to music. I think it lacks spatiality. The problem is that, after having asked to technical support, they tell me that I can configure the pair of ERA 300 as surround speakers of the ARC or as a pair of independent stereo speakers, but not have both configurations defined at the same time. The solution they propose is to configure the ERA as surrounds of the ARC and listen to music with this configuration. The question I would like to ask is if anyone has integrated a pair of ERA 300 with an ARC, and what results do they offer when playing music. I have not yet tried to listen to music with Dolby Atmos
Today I attempted to mount a play 1 in my master bathroom. I recently ordered two long power cables for the Era speakers we have. I didn't think much about it until I discovered the cable end is completely different. Is there any logical reason for this or is it purely because they want you to spend more money on a different cable?
This happens most often with Sonos but also with my music library. It just skips songs in the middle. it says it can’t read the song suddenly and then skips it. This happens if I use Sonos via my phone or my computer. And whether I go through the Sonos app or the Tidal app.Now I know some people will say I should reactivate my Tidal account. The problem is I do that and it works for a few hours but then we’re back to skipping. If the solution is every couple of hours to logout and relogin or install and uninstall apps, I’d rather get my money back for false adverting and just wire my house with speakers the way we did in the old days.
Good evening, I have been setting up my new setup : 5 sonos one, 1 sub and one Sonos Beam for the Tv (with the optical port adaptor). I use the 5 speakers and the sub for spotify and everything works fine. Now, if i wanted to watch tv and have the sound on both the beam and the Sonos speakers. Is this actually even possible? How would i need to proceed? Create a new group (independant from the ones for Spotify ie 5 Sonos One and the Sub)? To do that setup does the Beam has to be connected to the TV through the optical cord or the regular Arc port? Also, how would the Sonos know they have to play the tv sound ? I did try to look for s similar question in topics and could not find what i needed - sorry if the questions was asked before. Many thanks in advance, Damien
For my TV sound I use a Playbar, a sub and two Sonos play one as surround speakers. However, I cannot add an additional Sonos play one to the group without interference and interruptions on the added speakers. The question is, what can I change in my set up to effortlessly add extra speakers (4) (without interference)!?
I took my Era 300 to a mates for the weekend for him to evaluateLike a fool I forgot to take it home but having added Play3s to my arc as home theatre I am quite enjoying music on that. I shall be recoving my Era in March That does give him time for a longer evaluationand he has downloaded the S2 App and plays through itHe reports a problem that when he increases the volume it resets back to low Anyone got a suggestion to the problem? He is on Apple music shared subscription
Hi - I have a connect amp, two play 3s and two two play 1s. Everything about the system has become really unreliable recently, the iOS app constantly attempts something and fails (e.g. ‘unable to play) and says to ‘try again’. Recently it’s been unable to play certain playlists too. The connect amp has been dropping in and out constantly. Has anyone else been seeing odd/bad behavior? I’ve tried restarting everything, restarting my router, restarting the wifi etc., and I probably try killing the app once every few days at a minimum. I have been a huge fan and promotor of Sonos, but this has become really frustrating, it kills the Sonos value prop of ‘just works’.
I can`t find spotify or anyting else that costs something on sonos. Neither can i connect to my sonos speakers straight from spotify, it finds them, but doest connect. It was all possible before so is there somekind of an update that i cant find or what?
Hi, I was having trouble setting up a pair of play 1s as surround with my Beam gen 1 so I hide the p1s now I can not see how to un-hide them, please help?
The microphone in my Beam gen 2 won’t turn on. Is this fixable?
Why not Sonos play in Spanish ?
I just got my 2nd Sub for my living room in addition to a pair of Era 300s to connect to my existing Arc, sub and Play 5 gen 2 set up for my living room - trouble is, the new sub and era 300s won’t connect to my existing wifi network which my other speakers are on. They play just fine as well. Thanks
I have a Symfonisk (Gen2), brand new. I can set up the Symfonisk up in the app, however upon completion it states I may need to unplug and then replay the speaker for it to show in my system. It doesn’t show in the system. I have unplugged it for for varying lengths of time. I have tried on both an iPhone and android phone. I have tried resetting the Router/WAP. I have factory defaulted the speaker and reset it up with the same issues. The device is on the other side of the wall from the WAP.My router/WAP as well as the ISP is AT&T , the network name has no spaces or special characters. My password has special characters. I have even take. The steps of assigning a static IP and when that didn’t resolve it, I even MAC filtered the device so it’s always allowed. I also adjusted the channels on both 2.4 and 5 to mitigate interference.I can set the speaker up just fine but then it vanishes the moment setup is complete. Any help would be appreciated. I remember Sonos being a pain in the
I currently have a bunch of Sonos speakers connected to a Unifi network. All of my speakers except one work completely fine, but this one specific One drops offline nightly and requires manually unplugging it. Any suggestions?
I’ve followed instructions: logged in; see my current products, but there is no link for “Upgrade”.
Bought a Sonos Arc, Sounded great but started cutting in and out shortly after setting up. It would make loud popping noises then it started blaring an alarm sound similar to fire alarm at full volume. Contacted support, they ran a diagnostic, escalated to the engineering department, and was told I’d receive an email. No email. So I sent one. No response. Called again three weeks later, put on hold several times to be told the owner of my claim couldn’t be reached, and I’d have to call again. So I have $900 useless bar, under warranty, and can’t get help from customer support. Who do I talk to that can give me answers?
Hi All - Has anyone noticed any improvement to Trueplay recently? I haven’t specifically seen any software updates that refers to any changes to the process since the eras came out.. The reason I am asking is that I use both sets of era 300s as stereo pairs in two locations and there never has been an option to execute the quick method on the software. The only option is for the detailed process. I can’t say if there were any the improvements after Trueplay but left the setting as they were.Recently, I decided to redo Trueplay. This time both options came up.. tried both but the detailed option seems to provide a subjective appreciable increase in clarity...I can on surmise that the process may have been tweaked without major fanfare..
I’ve got one Sonos 5 speaker in my living room, and now that I’ve changed router and broadband provided I can’t connect. I’ve got a Linksys XPNMX56 (Velop) router, and I’ve tried connecting multiple times with no success - can anyone help? I’ve read the other articles connected to this set-up but can’t seem to find an answer why
I have had Sonos items for years. They have always been a problem and I regret buying them. I have 7 speakers and the latest issue is one was moved and it cannot be reconnected. Everything goes ok until I am asked to press the buttons. It then says it cannot be connected but no reason is given.i can see loads of other people have the same problem, No wonder you have such a bad reputation.
Hi everyone. For several weeks in the conservatory I haven’t turned on my Sonos One set up. Last night I turned the system on and immediately updated the two speakers. I now have a steady white light on the right hand speaker and a flashing green light on the left. I unplugged the cables and left it for 24 hrs but now the same thing is happening. The only speaker with sound is the right hand one. Any ideas? John.
I am seriously thinking of selling my Sonos speakers, much as I love them, and finding another system, because the app is so bad. I have problems connecting nearly every day, and it’s so random. It’s not my wifi, and it’s not Spotify as far as I can tell. It must be the Sonos app.
Pics related.I kept having trouble connecting to my One SL, and after talking to Sonos technical support and my internet provider, it turned out that the problem was (at the time) related to the internet frequencies. My phone insisted on using 5.0 GHz, and the One SL only does 2.4.My internet provider then sent me the equipment needed to split up my internet in two separate networks; one 5.0 and one 2.4 ghz. I thought it would work.I was wrong. Now my One SL just… won't connect to the 2.4ghz network at all? I've restarted and rebooted the router, the One SL, the app, the new signal boosters - everything. More than once. And it just. won't. work. My phone and PC connects to it fine, though.Of course, Sonos support isn't available over the weekend, so I figured that I would ask you guys. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
