Tried to add speaker but says Incompatible Software Versions

I have had two Sonos One SL speakers for ages that work fine. Today I tried to connect a new third Sonos One SL speaker. I did the updates etc but it says this error for the new speaker: "Incompatible Software Versions. The version of the app you're using isn't compatible with your Sonos system, so some settings have been disabled".

Please can someone tell me a simple and quick fix for this please. Thank you

Are you using the S1 or S2 version of the app? What release? Are your current speakers up-to-date for software releases? Can you try connecting the new speaker by Ethernet cable whilst you set it up?

The app info is:    Version: 16.1    Sonos OS: S2

The two already installed speakers say WM: 1

But the new speaker says WM:0

It says all three speakers are connected.

Everything is supposedly up to date.

I don't know how to connect via ethernet cable?

Unplug and then restart all speakers.
Then, go to Settings/System and scroll down to System Updates. Click Check for updates and see if anything does need an update.
Since all 3 speakers are seen by the app, try playing music to each of them.

I uninstalled the new speaker, then tried to add it through the Sonos 1 Controller. It then told me to do it via the Sonos S2 app and it connected finally. Thank you for trying to help :-) All three are working now
