I have a play 3 that has dropped off my network. I have factory reset it and it says it has reconnected, but doesn't show. Any ideas?

Hi. I’ve just upgraded to the new Sonos app. However, when I try to play music (using Apple Music) on a Sonos One, I simply get the whirling ball of doom when I press the play button, followed by an error message. Any tips for fixing this would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I used my Play 5 for upgrade program and happily received my 30% off. I am afraid to update them now because I heard that the speaker will be disabled because I used it for the discount. should I update the firmware without it turning to a brick? Thank you 

So granted, it’s pretty specific, and I’m sure will not apply to everyone, BUT I figure there is enough people that this may help and I know how important being able to access my music/playlists is to me… and how disappointing Sonos lack of concern for this issue has been... that I figured I’d share for whatever it’s worth… Hope I help a few people…I have been rocking out to my playlists all day and not being forced to use Sonos Radio to hear any music!! Why is move 2 cutting out? I just got the thing and not happy

I’ve had my system for awhile and no problems well till now and I’m familiar with Sonos and the app but my sub is going in and out and not sure why . when it’s not playing it’s blinking green a slow blinking green. I go into app and switch the sub off and on turn up the bass and turn down just messing with it and sometimes I want to say it sometimes works and will come on but it doesn’t work every time and I’ve done the basic by turning off by resetting app by resetting my WiFi to no avail and I’m lost and really want it to work I really enjoy my sub.. well when it works:( 

Ok, deep breath. Been using S1, wanted to add a couple of Amps. One Amp connected fine, other one couldn’t as I was told it’s already updated for S2. So I made the decision to move to S2.  Went through the settings to get the system ready for S2. Some old Play 5s and an old Connect weren’t compatible so agreed to have them removed. Once that was done I was sent to download S2 (iOS), opened it and clicked join existing system. Couldn’t find anything. Tried multiple times. No good. Clicked start new system and added the already updated Amp. All good.  Thought I’d reset the S1 Amp. Flashing green light - tried to add to S2 but told it needs an updated and to join its own WiFi. Joined WiFi - update never ends and iPhone connects to house WiFi during. Tried multiple times, same result.  S1 is now stuck. It’s removed my old speakers, left the S2 compatible ones. Tried to add the original Amp back in but S1 app keeps saying I need to update app and sends me to S2. I’m going round in circles a

I got a play 5 for €20 and thinking of buying another one for €40Also thinking about getting a connect for €25 off marketplace. And I was wondering if I’m able to connect the connect gen 1 to my tv and use the two play:5’s as stereo for the tv

I have 5 rooms on my system. All were working fine previously. Now 1 of the doesn’t play audio. The 2 speakers in this room are wired. It shows upon the app, but no sound. 

Sonos you are quickly becoming a pain in the arse - your products were wicked now they takes ages to configure every update cause endless connection issues - every time I try to connect all the products in the house - it works for a short while then drops out /- I go into the system it asks me to sign in as owner - I try with the same credentials I have login here with and it just goes back as asks me again! I have 8 products from sound bar 3’s 5’s and 1’s - all about to go in the bin !!!! And what’s more went to bed last night trying to find the timer - it has gone - what muppet thought that was good idea - really painful and thinking I have wasted money now! 

Downloaded the new Sonos App and went to play songs from Apple music through Sonos. Before the update, I would use the Sonos app and pic a song from my list, and Sonos would start playing. I'd go into the que and see EVERY song I have on Apple in the que and I would have Sonos shuffle. Why is this no longer an option?Now I pick a song from the list and it just adds that one song to the que. I want Sonos to play/run through my entire Apple song list. Has this option been removed? 

Hi,I searched around, and googled the error messages I have, but am having no luck.  Perhaps as this is an older device, the answers are harder to find.  Anyway, see if anyone can help…I recently moved and setting up a Play:1 in my new home. All other Sonos speakers set up correctly, except this Play:1. I did a hardware reset. Still setup failed. I did a hardware reset in the end. Still setup failed.  The error message says "There was a problem linking your Play:1 to your account", no reason or details given for fail. I logged out of Sonos app and logged back in.  Have u plugged the device and did a reset.  Nothing works. The Play:1 is shown in System/Products as "Not registered". Now when I hit the “Fix it” link it jumps to “Let’s finish adding your Play:1 to your system”.  When I hit the “Continue” link, the Sonos app crashes.  I have to reopen the app.  I try same and it crashes.  At this point I cannot move forward with trying to register the Play:1 to my account.  

From upgrading the Sonos app I’ve had a speaker disappear, once reinstalled after a factory reset it wont link to the existing speaker

Hi,  I have a Play 3 - It will not pass the final connection to system check where it plays an ‘audio pin’ - this is both wired and via wifi. I have tried the S1 app but it tells me the Play 3 is on S2 firmware !I’m on the line to Sonos support UK - it estimated 40 mins but I’m now at 50 mins!Is there anything  else I can try ?  

My system compromises of a gen 1 beam in my sons games room, A gen 1 beam 2 play ones and a sub in the living room and finally 2 play ones in the kitchen.The 2 play ones in the kitchen have so much lag on play, stop volume up and down etc… the other speakers are fine. Now here comes the head scracher the 2 play ones are in the same room as my Unifi AP and connected to the AP on 5ghz and have a strong signal the other rooms are further away and have dropped to 2.4ghz but they all do not have any lag at all.

I’ve had a Beam Gen 2 for a while now, which is connected to my Network by Ethernet on Router 1 and haven’t had any problems.The problem started when I bought a second Beam Gen 2 and tried to connect that to my network via Ethernet to Router 2.  As soon as I connect the Ethernet cable, the network becomes unstable, devices keep dropping out and everything has really slow Internet connection.  I thought it was the new router (Router 2) that I had bought, but the Asus tech support said it was a device on my network creating a loop.  Sure enough, as soon as I unplug the second speaker, the loop stops and everything starts working again.I have successfully set the system up with the second speaker connected through wi-fi and I have no issues.  I want to set the second speaker up via Ethernet so it doesn’t hog the wi-fi bandwidth for my other devices when streaming.Another weird thing, is when the second speaker is connected through wi-fi, when I look at the connection to it on my Network G

Can’t select the device to play the music. It stars in the top device in the row. And I can’t rename the group of that top device pair. Please help me to understand the new basics.

Hello wonderful community!I’m having some small event in my garden and plan to play some music for my guests on my five pair and sub gen 3.They will be under the roof of a small kiosk/pavilion so I will not worry about raining on them.My question is does the sub make a difference outside?Thank you, PS: a little annoyed about the latest forced update, but in the end all went well. 

I can not search for a song on my iPhone after the update. I can go to diretly to spotify and find a playlist, but i can search for anything, not song album singer etc. The system works with my husbands android phone

Can you connect Sonos SL via Bluetooth without WiFi?

Hi. my Sonos app recently updated. I used to be able to disconnect my music from the Sonos SL speaker via the app. This would stop the music. Since the update this week, I can’t find anywhere on the app to disconnect the music. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Hi,I've searched the forums and google but cant seem to find the answer.I have 5 speakers on my network that are loosing some RX packets. 2 x beams and 3 x play 1s. I have a Sonos Play 5 (gen 1) and I’d love to add some speakers to our patio as a surprise to my husband for his birthday. These speakers would live outside permanently and ideally be able to play the same music both inside and out when we have friends over. I’m on a budget and I’m also not super knowledgeable about these things. Do I need to have an amp? Can I just do outdoor speakers? Do they have to be Sonos brand? What’s the deal with all this?
