I have an older Sonos system- bridge connected to my router, ZP 90 connected to denon receiver & a ZP120 (Connected by RCA) to cable box. The ZP120 was added so that I can listen to the (inside) TV in my outside (patio) speakers (hardwired). I’ve recently bought a Samsung TV (no RCA), ended up changing my cable box (spectrum d/t issues). I’ve had to factory reset my receiver & Sonos system d/t some connectivity issue (dropping audio). All of this issues have resolved except for one. I cannot get audio from my TV audio to play via ZP120. I can use all other apps like pandora, spotify, etc (audio works fine) except for “line in” audio even though it looks like it is working. I had a local Sonos dealer tech check and the only thing that he came up with was that it may be the cable box (not converting digital/analog signal)- recommended that I try HDMI audio extractor or Digital to analog converter. I spoke with Sonos help and they saw that it looked like it was working but still no
I have just bought a Sonos Beam. I do not own a mobile phone so I borrowed one to set up. Sonos informed me that once set up using the app on the mobile phone, I would then be able to control the speaker using the S2 app on my Windows Laptop. However, although I can use the Laptop app to control volume, any attempt to change EQ settings i ineffective - the slider controls revert to preset positions.
I have two Sonos One Speakers and a Sonos Connect using an S1 app controller. I want to add a Sonos Move to this system using the S1 app so I can still use the Sonos Connect (older model).During the set up procedure for the Sonos Move, I’m being forced to install the S2 app and there seems to be no other option. Any suggestions before I return the Sonos Move to the store?
Hi therei have a problem similar like others already asked. I want to use the beam as a computer speaker. My setup is a monitor with hdmi in, displayport in and aux. I connect my laptop via hdmi cable to the monitor. I heard that i‘ts possible to play music over the beam with an audio converter. I bought myself this model https://www.wish.com/product/5ea7f51d9a24065b37e22773?hide_login_modal=true&from_ad=goog_shopping&_display_country_code=CH&_force_currency_code=CHF&pid=googleadwords_int&c=%7BcampaignId%7D&ad_cid=5ea7f51d9a24065b37e22773&ad_cc=CH&ad_lang=DE&ad_curr=CHF&ad_price=19.00&campaign_id=9527731137&exclude_install=true&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_drer5Ww7gIVxRV7Ch2dhgIJEAQYASABEgJNI_D_BwE&share=mobilewebprobably not the best one i know, but it has all the in– and outputs i need and should work as far as i know. So i connected my laptop, via hdmi to the hdmi in at the audio converter, then one hdmi from hdmi out (converter) to my m
Hi everyone,I am an happy owner of the Sonos Amp that would love to be even happier :-)I love my Sonos Amp for a lot of reasons but to be even more amazing it would be unreal to be able to play uncompressed audio. I know that’s not possible on this device as it needs earc but why not a New Sonos Amp, and why not at least 1 HDMI input, that would be incredibly useful for people that do not have an earc compatible TV.As an improvement of the existing one, the ability to play Dolby atmos tracks (compressed DD+) would be a game changer and a reason for many Sonos owners to buy the Sonance or even another Amp (I would). The ability to add a center channel with some of the existing Sonos lineup or other party would also be out of this world but again that requires new hardware.I hope this gets considered, thank you!
Does the Sonos Arc work fine with the LG cx Oled, including lip sync issues and sound issues? Before I spend 2k on the tv and soundbar.
Hi, I would really appreciate some experienced guidance, please bear with me. I have recently inherited an outstanding vinyl collection. I want to integrate a turntable into my Sonos ecosystem and at the same time do full justice to the vinyl.Primary question: Will a higher end turntable & preamp still sound noticeably better than a budget turntable once digitised and compressed by Sonos? Will a higher end turntable offer the same value through Sonos than a traditional wired setup? For detail, I’m looking at buying either the more budget Rega P1 (£250) or the more expensive P3 (£600) turntable. I am also still undecided in which room to place the turntable. Either Room 1 with either a single Sonos five or, Sonos Port and a pair of Ones (the Ones would be in alcoves and we would listen from multiple positions so stereo is difficult to achieve). Or Room 2, through Sonos Port with existing beam/sub/play ones setup. On the other hand, should I consider Room 1 with Sonos Amp and some rea
Can I use three of my upgrades together to buy a surround sound package...I have two 30% and one 15% so can I combine them to have 75% off
Hello, I have a few questions regarding S2 and the two ways of connecting to Sonos speakers locally: UPNP This API is “undocumented” and not officially supported, but it works. Sonos Control API on the LAN This API is not yet available, and its release date is unknown. My question is whether the S2 update will remove the UPNP functionality from upgraded speakers? If so, will the Sonos Control API on the LAN be available when S2 is released? If the answer to the first question is yes, and the answer to the second question is no, it would mean that upgraded S2 products cannot be controlled locally. This would mean that new products (such as the Arc) cannot be controlled locally at all, at least for the time being. I have tried searching for an answer to these questions, but I could not find them, so I decided to ask here. I had originally intended to preorder a Sonos Arc, however my setup (computer which serves my local music library and calls my Play 5 speakers using UPNP) requires a
I would like to request the optionto use two Sonos Move speakers for surround sound. It seems to me that the already built an automatic true tune would make them a uniquely convenient solution for those of us that don't want to set up permanent surroundsound.I know I could always return one of my Moves and buy two Ones but I'm counting on the fact that I'm going to spend much more time on the deck this summer than watching movies. Don't burst my bubble. :-)If I'm willing to do the set up each time, how much of a technical ask is this?Thoughts?
Hi,I have a Play:5 (Gen 1), Connect, Sub (Gen 1) and three Play:1s. These are all set up as a S1 system.I recently purchased an Arc, which had to be set up as a separate S2 system because it is not compatible with S1 and the Play:5 is not compatible with S1.I am now stuck in an update loop with my S1 system which says an update is required. However when I try to update I am taken to the S2 app in the Google Play store. When I initially tried this the update failed and I got a number of error messages (30 & 1101). I tried resetting the router, turning products on and off etc as suggested in the help article, but this failed so I performed factory resets on the Sub and all Play:1s. However when I tried to add them back to my S1 system I was unable to do so because “Sonos app needs updating”, although there isn't an S1 update to choose. Please help me get my system back - I can currently only use the Play:5 and the Arc.Thanks
Been trying things all day and this is driving me mad.I have the Sonos arc hooked up to the LG via the HDMI Arc. I also have a 1TB Sky Q box.The issue is around the Sky Q sound. In the audio visual settings, the sound for Digital audio optical HDMI sounds better on original vs Dolby Digital. Much fuller and I can’t quite work out why! Thought it would be the other way around and I’ve tried on a bunch of HD channels. LG Tv settings are as follows; DTV Audio Setting - AutoHDMI 4 - BitstreamDigital Sound Out - Pass ThrougheARC - ON Am I missing something or got something wrong? Any ideas?
I have a rega plannar 2 record player connected to a Play 5 (which is plugged into via line in), an Arc (which is plugged into my TV) and 2 x Sonos One SLs. I want to purchase a CD player and connect it to my set up (I have lots of CDs); however, I'm not sure of the best way to do this, particularly as the line in on my Play 5 is already in use. Please could someone advise me on the best way to approach this? Additionally, any recommendations on the best CD player to buy is also much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I was a subscriber of Apple Music and Sonos was working fine with it.However I realised I mostly used the cloud matching feature and hence recently "downgraded" to iTunes Match which provides that service only. Sadly I can't seem to be able to stream my Cloud music on Sonos any longer.Has anybody got a workaround to suggest?Catalina OSSonos V1
I just purchased a Sonos Move and quite frankly I'm unimpressed. I noticed when the speaker is on wifi and I'm using the S2 App that when the volume slider is on minimum there isn't much sound and when the volume slider is on max the sound isn't as loud as I had expected. I read a review that said the speaker at max volume is 105 db. I don't ever see that being possible. I have only listened to music via Sirius XM and Amazon Music. Could it be that said content is so compressed that maybe Tidal HD would be more impressive? Please help me understand why I'm so disappointed in the Moves Sound. Thanks in advance for any help
So My Beam wirks great, my two Sonos One’s and SubWoofer isn’t picking up anything though. Works fine with Apple TV.
After almost a year long rigmarole, I finally got all my itunes playlists to sync with SONOS… enter Big Sur to spoil the party. Keep Catalina until this new mess is sorted…. if you want to keep the party going.
Hi, I’m new to the community and looking for a bit of advice. I’m looking to buy a Sonos vinyl player. What do I need to get it to play through my playbar and play 1 which I have in multiple rooms.
Hi All,I have no idea if this is a sonos Arc issue but knowing that this is a very supportive and knowledgeable forum I have come here first. In Summary. I was using the Arc with a LG65 C7 - I used the HD Fury Arcana and had no lip sync issues. All worked. On Sunday I took delivery of a LGCX 65 and because it has eArc removed the Arcana and connected the Sonos Arc direct to the eArc HDMI port. All worked. The TV source is a sky Q 2TB box. Today the sound stopped working on Sky Q HD channels only. SD channels had no issue. This happened when you switched channels. Occasionally if you waited it would come on, or if you switch back and forth. Can anyone tell me what is happening and what I could do about it.thanks Josh
I don’t think I’m too picky, but for a speaker that has a larger form facfor than a One (accounting for battery), I would expect the Move to at least sound as good as a One. Adjusting EQ or using TruePlay make no real difference… the sound is still very hollow with terrible midrange. On top of that, the battery lasts nowhere near what is advertised; I can only get a few hours out of it at most. Is this thing defective? My experience seems at odds with many others.
Hi, I’m currently experiencing a problem whereby my Sonos beam is not discoverable on airplay (bear in mind that at some point it was) is very frustrating at the least that you pay so much money to get a subpar experience. Definitely would not recommend.
I have an older Sony with Bravia sync. I am trying to turn on speakers from TV only but the sounds goes back to beam speakers. I have disabled auto play from TV. Doesn't work. I have tried some hdmi settings on TV it didn't help.Any suggestions?
I have had my Panasonic HZ1000 since Christmas and updated from a Playbar to an Arc a week ago. No matter what I try I am unable to get the native tv apps to output Dolby sound. PCM in stereo yes no cut out, nothing wrong but as soon as I switch to Dolby output no sound or it is constantly breaking up. I had no problem at all with the playbar outputting 5:1. It wasn’t Atmos but at least I could get some form of surround sound.I think I have no choice but to return the Arc as it seems its a common fault with all kinds of new TV’s and at £800 I might as well get something else that actually works with my TV!! Really poor from Sonos!!
Im currently using my iMac PC as a source using its headphone out to line in on my sonos amp - and am able to get up to a maximum 96khz if im correct? Can I add a dac such as the iFi Zen DAC to enable me to get higher than 96khz ?Imac/Zen/dac/Sonos amp/B&W passive speakers Ken
For Home Theater setups (Arc, Playbar, etc.) either standalone or as a full 5.1 System (Sub + Surrounds) I think users would appreciate the ability to have multiple presets to automatically switch based on source (or, although this is less useful, at a minimum manually toggle via a single button switch in the settings)For example for HDMI Input (TV) content I much prefer Trueplay tuning turned on as it improves sonic performance incl. speech which becomes clearer and I get better Atmos performance. However, I find Trueplay does not sound good with Streaming Audio from sources such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc. as I suffer from the metallic/harsh treble and loss of mids.I would suggest a feature so that a user can save custom presets (incl. Trueplay + EQ Setings + Sub + Surrounds settings). If the Arc can switch to that once it detects an HDMI input from the TV but then have the ability to switch to a different preferred profile automatically when it detects music that would be ideal.Th
