Hi All,

I have no idea if this is a sonos Arc issue but knowing that this is a very supportive and knowledgeable forum I have come here first.

In Summary. I was using the Arc with a LG65 C7 - I used the HD Fury Arcana and had no lip sync issues.  All worked.

On Sunday I took delivery of a LGCX 65 and because it has eArc removed the Arcana and connected the Sonos Arc direct to the eArc HDMI port.  All worked.

The TV source is a sky Q 2TB box.  Today the sound stopped working on Sky Q HD channels only.  SD channels had no issue.  This happened when you switched channels.  Occasionally if you waited it would come on, or if you switch back and forth.

Can anyone tell me what is happening and what I could do about it.

thanks

Josh

I found this on the Sky community forums:

Try changing the audio format to Normal. Home -> Settings -> Setup -> Audio visual -> Digital audio output HDMI -> Normal.

Thanks.  But then don’t I lose the point of having the Arc and the 2 play 3 surrounds i.e. I dont get the best sound?

regards

Josh

What is the best audio you can get from HD channels on the Sky Q box? What audio does it play out of the Arc if you set the audio settings to Normal?

Hi

sorry for the delay in coming back. When the Q box is set to DD or DD+ I get multichannel 5.1.   When the Q box is set to Normal I get stereo 2.0.    Obviously that is not optimal for the best sound.   The issues described above hasn’t happened for a couple of days.  Hoping it has just gone away. :)
