Hello, anyone knows if Sonos speakers are compatible to connect via WIFI to a Samsung Freestyle projector?

Hi, I’ve noted a trend in what I’ve read here about this 14.6 issue in that the Arc is the predominant soundbar.  My soundbar is a PlayBar and I use a Boost.  When my system is stable I don’t experience audio drop outs I just get up in the morning to find my surround setup not working, i.e. the sub and play 1 satellites not present in the app.  Sometimes, like now, they appear ‘on their own’ without any intervention.  My diagnostic file is file ref: “321963361”.  I took this dump when the system had lost its sub and play 1’s.  The main purpose of this post is to flag that the 14.6 ‘drop out’ issue is not exclusive to Arc (or Beam for that matter).  I’ve previously been through the ‘missing products’ cycle but the issue re-occurs.

A bit annoyed when I went to use my system and the audio started to cut in/out and then the app couldn’t connect to the device to pause or lower the volume with the audio going in and out. Not a pleasant situation which has continued on for a few days now and has the left the system unusable!This possibly started with the 14.8 update. We use the system regularly and that seems to be the trigger. We’ve had the system for ~5years, so nothing is new (3 Ones, 1 Five, and 1 Amp). It’s on a Unifi network (USG,Switch, (1) AP) which shows no sign of issue or the devices connected (signals fine, traffic fine). The cutting appears to be from all audio sources (Sonos Radio, Apple, Amazon) and even occurs with airplay. Hi All, I just started using the new Sonos Voice Assistant and it seems to be working quite well so far. Whenever I ask it to play an album or a song it likes to always default to Apple Music, but I’d rather it default to Amazon Music without have to always specify “On amazon Music” every time I ask it something.  Any ideas how to achieve this?Thanks

Hi.I’ve used Sonos Play 5 for many years on two different routers, and there haven’t been any hitches I couldn’t resolve.Now I have a new Zyxel 1661 Wifi 6 router, and for the life of me I can not get the mobile app to find Sonos. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve plugged Sonos to the router for possible updates. I’ve reset the app. I’ve rebooted all the things and followed every instruction, (turn on Bluetooth etc) and still nothing. The NFC can see Sonos, but the app just cannot.I’m no techie, but I think it’s fair to assume that the router hides Sonos from the app(?) even though the phone is integrated with it. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When I travel the alarms on my Sonos system seem to track the local time on my phone. Does anybody else experience this? Nobody in the house so difficult to actually check what is happening at home.As I have a complete sequence of alarms to help maintain a lived in scénario in the house this could result in some crazy actions.   

Hi,I’ve seen topics about this issue but these are rather old. I don’t know if the fix that was developed is still applicable or that it’s already merged with later general updates.So the issue is that, after my Sonos speaker has been playing music for a while (from Spotify, Stingray, whatever), it starts repeating a track continuously. When it starts repeating, the controller shows track info that it is supposed to be playing, but instead it plays this track over and over.To stop this I have to switch to another channel.Is this still being under development and is there a fix for this issue?I’ve generated a diagnostics report, the number is 1028674601.

Hello, I just bought an Arc and Sub to install in my living room. Question with Trueplay in a massive room; do I just walk around the couch and “living room”, or should I walk around the entire open space that includes the kitchen, eating area, hallway, and playroom?The couch is about 9 feet from the tv, but the back wall is 15 feet further back (kitchen).see attachment for floor plan. I am impressed with this setup, I was initially concerned that I would need 2x subs with this massive amount of airspace, but 1x is fantastic, might get a 2nd one (used of course) just to have “better” coverage, whatever that means… HA! 

Hi SONOS community,We have SONOS in a luxury lounge and we need to stop playing the music and play emergency announcements when facility management broadcast them.Is there a solution for this requirement? I was hoping to have some input channel and maybe together with IFTT setup a flow.Thank you in advance for your comments…Ciao,M 

I have had a Sonos Beam for my TV audio and its been great. I recently made a purchase of the Five and the T1 Phono SB turntable. I have tried connecting both my Sonos beam and five together when I listen to TV and it makes this weird echo sound and the sound in the Five seems to go in and out. As well as if I connect the two when I listen to a record, the same sound falls in and out but from the Beam. However, with I choose to stream music from Spotify for example with both speaks it works beautifully. I went with the Five for the turntable since I already had a Sonos set up and thought it would work together well, but maybe I am not setting things up correctly? any advice or assistance with this issue? 

Hi all, I have 6 Sonos One SL that we play music via AirPlay. Is there a way to connect them via bluetooth instead? We would like to gain some of the bluetooth functionality. The devices are mounted about 16 ft high. Any help is appreciated. 

I am no longer in possession of this Roam. Instructions seem to indicate I would have to create a whole new system and re-add all my current devices (minus the Roam). Is there really not a better way?

HiI am new to Sonos and I am trying to connect my TV to Sonos Arc and Sonos Amp/4 ceilings speakers. I had bought Sonos Amp and 4 ceiling speakers and connected it to my LG TV. The ceiling speakers worked fine but I could not hear the TV speakers. I read on this community that if I get a Sonos Arc, I can connect it to the TV with HDMI Arc cable and it can wirelessly connect to the amp and ceiling speakers. So, today I got the Sonos Acr too but I am only able to hear from the Arc and not from the ceiling speakers. I called the Sonos Support team and they said I need to have both Arc and my Amp connected to my router via LAN.Can anyone kindly help me to confirm if LAN is required? Hi all, Recently I had some playback issues with FitRadio and had to remove it from my services. When trying to add again, I click on "I already have an account” and it automatically errors out saying unable to authorize account. It won’t even let me enter username and password.I am not sure what I can do to reconnect. I am able to add other services like SiriusXM where it prompts you to enter your username and password. What can I do? 

I've seen this topic a few times and would like to know when this will be implemented? We’ve just had an update and I this has not been included. This “low speech high music” issue has been discussed for over a year now and give the recent update, don't understand why this has not been addressed. I don’t want to have to run night mode or speech enhancer just to watch some content where I can only just hear the dialogue above the other sounds. I’d like control over the centre channel in the arc.Again last night I found myself constantly adjusting the volume to hear certain things, can you confirm this will be implemented shortly? If not, I’ll happily replace the system for one in which I can adjust to my needs.(note: If id known about this issue I would never have invested in the eco system.)

I only found year+ old threads on this topic. Is this a feature Sonos plans on implementing? YTM has a great new music suggestion algorithm but it's useless if I can't feed the like from Sonos back to YTM. Help! 

Hello Sonos:We have a Sonos Arc which is connected by HDMI to our TV. It works great when played with movies and by itself. However, when we play music through the Sonos App (Sonos Radio or Amazon music) with the other connected speakers the Sonos Arc is delayed and skipsout. It is very frustrating and we have no clue how tofix it. Thanks in advance for your help. 

Help me to understand how I can turn my TV (HTML ARC) on and not have to adjust the volume up every time. Why can’t the Sonos Amp hold its last volume position? This is the way audio devices have worked since forever. If I am missing something, let me know. Can this be a software update? What is the meaning of have it default to 0 anyway?

iPhone app only controls volume, will not control station selection or speaker selection but omputer app works fine.  I have one speaker hard wired to router, others are wifi.   All works well with computers but not at all with iPhone app.   I get the message “unable to play the station”

I recently made this post and marked it as answered but it was by accident and I don’t know how to unmark it so forgive me. I have an arc with a sub and 2 one sl, but over the past 2 weeks my arc will cut out when watching content in Dolby atmos. Sometimes it will cut out after watching for 5 minutes and other times it will take 30 mins to an hour to cut out. I have called and chatted with support several times to no avail. But if I reboot my arc the sound will come back again for 30 mins to an hour or sometimes if I just watch a non Dolby atmos show the sound will come back within a minute. I have an Apple TV 4K with a 55 lg cx but I have tried to watch something directly through the tv and the sound still cuts out. I also bought a new hdmi cable. I have also turned off a lot of devices to make sure the arc had plenty of bandwidth available and the sound will still cut out. 

Hello,When setting up networks on the 2.4GHz band, it is required, for some Sonos devices, to set the router/access point to mixed mode (802.11 a/b/g/n).The disadvantage of this is that with mixed networks, the speed always adapts to the lowest possible protocol. If someone has five devices in the house, four of which support 802.11n and one 802.11b, all four 802.11n devices will be affected because they will have to adapt to the speed of the 802.11b standard.It is possible to use SonosNet to create your own internal network for the Sonos products. Preferably, one Sonos product should be connected by cable and the Sonos speakers should be connected via SonosNet. If this is not an option, then at least one Sonos device must be connected via Wi-Fi to be able to connect to the controller (which means the network setting must still be 802.11 mixed on older devices).Now for my question. I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio and now I am unable to connect to my music folders which are stored on an external drive. My old iMac didn't have any issues. The location of the folders was not showing up in Sonos correctly so I deleted them from the Sonos Music Library Settings and tried to add them back. When I try to add them, I get the following message:In the ‘Get info’ panel for the folder, Ive changed the permissions for SonosDMS from Custom to Read & Write, but when click ‘Next’ after entering the folder path, it gets changed back to Custom.I currently have the firewall turned off.Sonos is working as expected using streaming services.Apple Studio M1 MaxMacOS 12.3.1Sonos Controller 14.6

Hi there, I've had a sonos arc approximately 1 month and had no issues. Nothing has changed and now tv stays muted when I try to play volume through arc. No cables have been changed, nothing has been damaged. It just decided not to work. I try to change volume and unmute with tv remote, and it just shows mute symbol. Tv will play volume when I change the output. Sonos arc will play music from phone.  Any tips would be appreciated. 

Hi ALL Can we use Sonos Ray with optical to HDMI Converter  if possible or valuable in the market.And if yes , then is it ok to use the optical to HDMI converter ? And can we use Ray as in surround speaker for Sonos 5.1 setup yes or no ?? Please Suggest.   

I just set up my SONOS Move and installed the app on my phone. It works great with this device. I would like to use the Bluetooth with other devices - mainly a laptop for if I watch a film/tv show.  However, my laptop cannot find the Move. Does anyone know why this could be? Or how to fix this?
