After merging homes with my fiance and getting the system set up I am unable to add (2) S Play1’s she previously had.  I use the S1 controller app and currently have the following set up: Main Play 5Play 3Play 1 Would like to add the (2) Play1’s.  I keep getting a message they are not compatible with the S1 controller.  Is there a workaround? Cheers

When I pause for about 10 seconds and hit play again, It says it cannot play this content and either restarts the song or skips to the next song in the queue. Also the scrubbing bar gets out of sync with the music. It will be near the end of a song and the bar will still be in the middle. I am on the latest app version and all of my speakers are on the latest firmware version.

Hoi there,Have been using Arc Ultra + Sub 4 + 2x Era 300 aka Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc Ultra for over a year now and been quite happy with the system overall. Sure there has been SW glitches here and there, but no deal breakers, and the sound is great. But the issue I got , is that the Sonos Android app installed with my Samsung S8+ tablet forgets all the Arc Ultra’s settings (speaker lvls, Speed Enchantment, TruePlay) multiple times a week. Not a deal breaker, but it grows tedious after a while for sure. I was thinking that this might be due to  the schedule I’ve set the system to cut off power with a separate timer for night time, but got the same timer thing with my living room Sonos Beam+Sub Mini for years, and it has never lost its settings to date. Wondering if anybody else has experienced the same, and if there’s a fix for it? I am dead sure there was a question like this in the forumsalready , but could not find it just now. Thanks! 

I have a large open plan house so I use the Zones feature to create 2 virtual speakers “Upstairs” and “Downstairs”. Each zone consists of a combination of Ones, One SLs and a Five. Ironically the Five in the kitchen needs a volume boost compared to the One that is also in it - currently the sound is biased towards the One. The Zones feature has a volume trim feature to compensate for this situation. The trim adjusts the volume from -15dB to +3dB on a per speaker basis. The Five does seem to respond but a 3dB boost is not quite enough. I need to dip the One by a few dB but the trim control has no discernible effect on any of my Ones. Anyone else noticed this before I submit a bug report?

i have two  sonos 5;s connected to a mini sub in a small room but would like to expand the sound what can i add to this set up that is integrated and not  add  speakers from another domain or room under grouping

Hi. I want to install a Sonos system at my office. I need (1) speaker (it doesn’t matter the type) at front desk and (3) ceiling speakers in 3 different rooms. All (4) speakers will reproduce the same music from the same source, but I want to be able to control the volume individually in each room. What is your recommendation? 

I just bought a used phone (Samsung galaxy s6) to use as a dedicated Sonos controller. When I go to Google Play to download the app I am getting an error message saying “This app is available only for your other devices”. It offers to install the app on my other phone and tablet, which both already have the app. Same story with both Sonos app and S1. Searching for ‘sonos’ in Google Play pulls up nothing! Same with clicking on the ‘Sonos Inc.’ link.Is it the phone? My old phone was an S6 and I used Sonos on it without problems. I’ll keep searching the archive here, but haven’t found reference to this particular problem. Help!Kim 

How to reconnect sonos boost

Hi, I have a Sonos arc and sub woofer setup and wondered what the options were if I bought a pair of Era 100 speakers? I assume the Era speakers can be added as a separate pair of stereo speakers  to my setup but can they be added as a pair of front left and right speakers for my home cinema setup along with my Arc and sub woofer or must they always added as rear surround speakers?

I just want to mention that most of the functionality I was used to is more or less back on track after 18 months.  But one of the most important for me is still missing and that is the possibility to return to the cue of music playing after you turn on the TV and then of again (or any suorce or radio stream for that matter).  Sometimes I even want to watch the TV but listen to music. I know that the cue is there because it’s possible to restart from the desktop application, but nowhere to be found in the app or web application.  This is by far the most frustrating aspect of the app and the constant need for reload a playlist if using your iPhone or iPad.  Sonos - Please re add this option 🙏  Or am I missing something here?

I connected the LG 65QNED93A6A TV to the Sonos Beam Gen1 using HDMI eARC and it worked perfectly. When choosing Sonos Beam as the audio device in the audio settings with HDMI CEC enabled and Simplink, it worked fine.However, I was unable to switch the audio output from Sonos to the TV speakers or to connected Bluetooth TWS devices. When I selected another audio device (TV for example), the new device works for a few seconds, then automatically switched back to Sonos Beam. Therefore, I needed to disable Simplink every time I wanted to change the output. Enabling or disabling "AutoPlay" in the Sonos app did not affect the issue. It seems to me, that Sonos forced reconnects ever it detected TV connection. What I doing wrong?

Trying to perfect my sonos 300 positioning with limited room behind my couch. Any suggestions or is this fair positioning. Appreciate the guidance!  

I’m Using a Virgin Media Hub 5 router - I can no longer split networks after a recent update, greyed out… lost connection to all my 7 speakers. Playbar and Sub work on TV only. I have a mesh network - I have split the networks on that, but still no luck connecting speakers. I have a boost - I tried connecting that, but it kept picking up another system. It might connects for a few mins, but will eventually say no system available. Help needed, thanks!

I have Sonos Port connected to a Marantz AVR using PreAmp out RCA connectors and a pair of ERA 100s for rear speakers. The app says the Port is connected to my AVR but I am unable to get a signal to the Port or output to the speakers.Wondering if there is a setup issue here. Any help appreciated.

I recently purchased and Arc Ultra and have connected my PC to my TV and back to the Arc. My PC is only giving me the option to output in stereo.  When in was using my old RXV6A I would get 5.1 in the sound options from my PC. I have reset all settings and power cycled everything. When I use the Netflix app on the TV I am getting 5.1.  My PC is connected to the HDMI 1 on my TV which is a LG 49ub850

Hoping someone here can help because I’m at a loss.I have five Sonos speakers in my office: Two Era 100s One Sonos One One Sonos Move One Sonos Roam The Sonos One and Sonos Move were previously connected to other Wi-Fi networks, but the 2 Era 100s and Roam were brand-new when I opened my office. Ever since installing everything, I’ve been having constant connection issues. I’ve worked with both my IT installer and Sonos Support, but we still haven’t found a solution. Since it is a healthcare office we have 2 wifi’s - a main one & a guest wifi. I have tried disabling the guest wifi so there is no interference but it still happens.Here’s what’s happening: Every day, I have to reset every single Sonos speaker and reset the network just to get things back online. The system will often split itself into two separate systems — the Move and One appear on one system, and the other three appear on another. I am having problems getting radio stations and Sonos seem unable to help. They have told me to delete all services except Sonos radio, but there are no normal radio stations available!

Has anyone figured out how to get Pandora Modes (e.g. Deep Cuts, Discovery, Energy, etc.) working in the new Sonos iOS app?   I’ve found several year-old locked conversations on this topic.  None have any real solutions.  Some blame Pandora for the problem - which I’m not buying because I also use the Sonos app for Mac and Pandora Modes work just fine. (See below.)  So Pandora’s APIs work. While we are at it - I’ve closed the “Alexa AWS October 20 Outage” notification banner 15 times while writing the few sentences above.  Way to go Sonos: keep reminding us of how your software is constantly broken - and how you focus on your needs instead of your customers…. but I digress.    

I have an Arc ultra with two Era 300 surrounds and while the system is functional when the surrounds are grouped with the arc ultra, the sound from them is modulated, by which I mean it gets quieter and then back up to normal volume, then quieter then back up to normal volume at a rate of about twice a second. This modulation happens with any sound source if the Era 300s are grouped with the arc ultra. However, if they're ungrouped they play normally with a consistent volume and there's no modulation effect at all so the problem is definitely associated with grouping them with the Arc Ultra. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
