I have tried to pair multiple remotes so that I can adjust volume. It shows that it has worked and it works for about a minute then stops. Looking for suggestions

Hi @JMelville2, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Sonos System.

If you’re trying to use multiple TV remotes, then please note that “Only one remote can be programmed to control the Sonos home theater speaker at a time”, per our support article for controlling your Home Theater with a TV remote.

If you’re trying to pair another controller running the Sonos app to your system, you should be able connect with another device by opening the app and selecting to join an existing system. There is a 32-device limit per Sonos system, including both speakers and controllers. If you hit this limit, you won't be able to add any more speakers or devices to your system. If you aren’t at this limit, please let me know.

I hope this information helps!

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately when I try to connect my remote it works for about one minute then stops. When I push the volume up or down on the remote a message on TV says speaker off. I turned the TV speaker of per the instructions. The same happens when I try another remote.

Please list your TV make/model and what Sonos device you are trying to connect to.  Also, what remote are you using (TV remote, 3rd party universal, cable TV, etc.).  Depending on each, there are several ways to make a remote work with Sonos.
