Sound dropping briefly on Arc when using Playstation 5 (PS5)

I recently bought a Sony PS5, and when playing games, the audio intermittently drops on my Sonos Arc (with Sub and 2 surrounds connected) for a second, and then keeps happening.

It’s enough to be really annoying. I have changed the HDMI cable and looked at the settings on the Playstation and on my Sony TV, and all seems OK. Audio is fine through my Apple TV and Nintendo Switch, this is just with the Playstation. Any ideas how to fix?

I suspect that one of the devices is polling the CEC bus. You might be able to identify the device by selectively disconnecting a device that you are not viewing. You can then install a CEC blocker in that device’s connection.

Not a clue, but if you wait for the drop and submit a diagnostic within a couple minutes Sonos can examine it (you have to call and ask) to see if it is a Sonos or source issue. They may have suggestions.
