Hi community. I am running an S2 system with slightly older and newer Sonos products. Sonos Arc Sonos Move 2 Sonos Port Sonos Play:1 Sonos Play:3If I group all of the newer Sonos devices (Arc, Move and Port) they work flawlessly. However as soon as I bring in one of the older (compatible with S2) devices (Play:1 and/or Play:3) the system, stops. I get an indication it is working, but no sound. Sometimes it does work, but more often it doesn’t. If I just group the Play:1 and Play:3 they also work perfectly, it is just as soon as I introduce either a different generation product into the mix it becomes unstable.  All updated to latest available versions, etc. Anyone else experienced this, and have a fix. I operate the oder devices in my bedroom and bathroom and love the idea of coming downstairs and music to continue on the new devices located there.  I have older devices running on S1, but these are separate - although do exist on the same network - I only mention this to be entirely op

Hello – I’m hoping someone might be able to help me, as I am getting so frustrated at this issue, having spent hours trying to trouble-shoot I recently set up two Sonos One (Gen 2) speakers in my lounge as rear surround speakers. This is in conjunction with a Playbase, connected to my LG OLED 55B46LA T.V, via optical cable. The playbase (and the One’s for that matter) have worked perfectly for years and I can Airplay Spotify/itunes/Music as well as anything from the Sonos app. When I initially added the speakers as surrounds, everything worked perfectly for a few hours and sounded fantastic - then the One’s suddenly stopped outputting sound altogether. After un pairing and re pairing them and turning everything off and on again to no avail, I found that simply resetting the router magically brought them back to life. I used to run a Sonos Arc + sub gen 2 + play:1 surrounds in my home theater room with a 70” bravia 4k tv and I was very happy with the surround sound experience, but not really happy with the music I got from it… The pair of fives in the kitchen/dining space sounded far more full and really pulled me in.I’ve now moved out of the big house to an apartment. My current plan is to set up a projector for the once a month or so I want to watch a movie, and use an AMP 4.1 setup, since the primary duty will be music.Question is, what speakers to use for the mains… I don’t like the idea of spending a grand on a system that I won’t be able to tune, so my current thinking is to get some Sonos Architectural wall or ceiling speakers as the mains…Has anyone here used all three of the in-wall 6.5’s, in-ceiling 6.5’s and in-ceiling 8’s that you could compare and say if you’d recommend any of them for this type of use? Or, should I be looking at floorstanders or bookshelf mains and lose out on the DSP

I am thinking about redoing the audio in our family room and using an amp to run two towers and a center speaker. Back in the day, we would create a center channel by grabbing the negative of one side and run it to the positive of the speaker. Then we would grab the positive of the other side and run it to the negative of the speaker. Or we would series the center with the two fronts.  I believe the amp has to have a grounded output and not be bridged. I am not familiar with the Sonos amp’s internals enough to know if this is the case or not. Does anyone have a similar setup like this?

Does anyone know when Sonos plans to allow the Era 300 to receive Dolby Atmos sound via Airplay 2?

I am new to Sonos and purchased an Arc Ultra, 2 Era 300s, Sub 3 and 2 Sonance 6.1s for the pool deck.  Biggest issue is the volume control with the Vizio TV.  When the TV is turned off and back on I am unable to use the Harmony Elite remote to control the Arc Ultra.  The remote instead adjusts the volume of the built in TV speakers.  In order to get the Arc Ultra connected to the volume control I have to go into the TV’s menu settings and play with Audio settings.  Toggle from speaker off to auto or some other setting to get it to connect.  It’s not always the same TV option which causes it work with the remote.  There are times where it’s the CEC setting which enables volume to work again. CEC shows Arc Ultra in the list  and CEC is enabled each time I check.  I am always able to adjust volume through the app and once volume works it stays working until I power it down again.   I tried to search for the Ultra using the Harmony Elite remote but it only found my Sonos Amps.    I really

hi there, im trying to get Dolby 5.1 surround using the Beam, Sonos Sub and Connect AMP.  Currently I have 2 systems in my Sonos app (Connect AMP+SUB and Beam).  I am able to group them when watching a movie but I dont get a 5.1 set up.I tried adding my Connect AMP as surround speakers to the Beam using the Sonos App but every time, the Sonos App wiped out the systems and make me reset and add them back again.1).  Can i get Dolby 5.1 surround sound with these products?2).  How do i get it set up?  

Day 2 with my ultra, turned on the TV and was blasted by the soundbar at max volume, I know when I powered it off it was just under 50%. Now this evening, 3 times the arc ultra has wound the volume up to Max within a few seconds.  I suspect it is a problem with the volume touch panel on the device because when I run over to turn it down the volume touch panel in not responsive.At times the bar makes click noises when everything is off, they are like some of the interface chip and chirp noises when you use various controls on sonos products.So, anyone else? known issue, new bug? or hardware fault?I have powered it off for a few minutes to give it a reset but will be annoyed if this is it!Who ya gonna call??!!

My Sonos system is duplicating and showing that I have two systems on my network. The S2 app shows that both systems are identical and regardless of which one I pick they both work(ish). If I log into the web app, it shows two systems, one with all bar one speaker (Five), the other system contains only the Five. I have tried turning them on and off, I have tried a wired vs wireless setup and nothing changes. Is this a bug that is causing the issue or am I doing something wrong?  If it helps, my internet set up is a VM router with the wireless turned off and BT whole home discs providing the WiFi signal I also have a separate wireless access point in the garage which the Five is connected to. Thanks

I have a setup with HomePods 2 connected as a Stereo Pair to AppleTV. But I need a bit more bass.Can Sonos Sub or SubMini provide me that extra bass I’m looking for. Can they connect directly or will I need to use a bridge like Belkin SoundForm Connect using AirPlay2 to connect. As I do not have the option of Apple AirPort Express which seems to be the best solution and was suggested by many online. 

I’m concerned.  Recently purchased a Move 2 from Costco since it was a great deal that included the free redemption of the Travel Bag.  Unfortunately, for some time, I’ve been checking the website to see if I can redeem the travel bag.I see many have been talking about the back order taking long, however, as of right now it is showing as “Out of Stock”.  Therefore, I can’t redeem the code provided to me from Costco, while, at the same time, I see that the bags are available via the Sonos Store on Amazon.I do realize that there’s probably been a surge of requests from the holiday sales.  But it’d be helpful to know if or when this might get resolved.Anyone else experiencing this and concerned?

I am looking at upgrading our home theater to an Arc Ultra and in ceiling speakers.  Just wanting this clear in my mind before I order everything.  If I connect the Arc Ultra to the TV with an eARC HDMI,  does the amp also need to be connected to the TV and / or the Ultra?  From reading it seems that connection happens wirelessly but some of the schematics on the manuals show an HDMI to the Arc Ultra and to the Amp. Thank you 

It doesn’t even list songs past the A’s.Searching works. I can play songs i search for.But they don’t show up in the app. 

I just had to reset my router, and now none of my Sonos products in my entire house are connected. In The Sonos App it asks me to update my network settings. I go through the prompts and click the first product that’s found (one of my Arcs). But it says it cannot connect as “there was a problem”. The amount of times this happens is ridiculous for such an expensive product. I would say my system works flawlessly only about 25% of the time. I’ve had nothing but headaches!! Someone, please help to get my system up, and reliable for once and for all! Thanks.

Ever since I got my Ray, I’ve been trying to get YouTube Music playing on it via my Android phone but it refuses to work. I am a YouTube Music Premium member. I’ve also found a temporary work around.When adding YTM to Sonos and signing in with my account that has an active YTM Premium membership, I could not search for any music. It would say it could not find any thing on YTM’s search. I uninstalled the sonos app, cleared cache, made sure all of my apps were up to date etc at least 5 times. I used both Brand and non-brand Google accounts with the same email as Sonos. I also tried removing the Sonos connection in my Google account settings.I attempted to sign in to YTM using the Sonos Windows app and it worked! With the non-brand Google account part. I can search for all of the music on YTM as intended.However, upon reinstalling the Sonos app, it will not let me search. It says my YTM account needs to be reauthorised. I am trying to get Sonos Voice Control to use a specific music service profile. I have Deezer and PocketCasts set up, each with different user profiles. This post suggests I can append the profile name and ask it to play on the profile name. For example, if I have a Deezer music service with four profiles, one of the profile nicknamed “Blue” I should be able to do something like: Play Thunderstruck on BluePlay Thunderstruck on Blue’s DeezerPlay Songs by the White Stripes on Blue’s Deezer Specifying profile names isn’t resulting in a consistent experience. Can someone share any tips on how they use Sonos with multiple music service profiles?If anyone from Sonos could comment or update the voice control reference with further details on what is being parsed that would be helpful.

I was very pleased when Sonos reconnected me to my personal iTunes library 2 or 3 months ago. Two weekends ago I discovered that using my Samsung S23 I am unable to get out of a playlist. When the iTunes library returned I was able to jump out of a playlist to an individual artist or scroll up and down a play list. Now I am stuck in the playlist and can only navigate the playlist using the forward or backward arrow on the song playing. Is anyone else having this problem? Do you have any advice on how to fix this?

Our Sonos system comprises two Play 1 and two One speakers. We control the system from our two iPhones. If one of us dynamically links two speakers to play the same music (i.e. not using named groups), then stops playing any tracks, the other iPhone is unable to unlink those speakers and link different speakers. The previously linked speakers appear to be “sticky”. Sometimes, after waiting a few minutes, functionality returns,. It seems to me that the linking functionality, when applied from different iPhones, is flaky. Our system is up to date. We are using app build 80.14.09. We have an iPhone 11 and an iPhone 16. Is this a bug, or does anyone have a solution?Thanks

I have resisted moaning/complaining about the Sonos App but I have now reached the end of my patience, I have never been so frustrated with anything in my whole life than the so called Sonos App upgrade. I have several Sonos products which I do not know how many times I have performed a factoy reset, how many times I have removed the App from my iPhone and iPAD and it is hit and miss whether anything gets back to how I would expect technology to work in this day and age, all very disappointing. I had no problems prior to the App upgarde, I now have a Christmas Album through Sptify playing on three of my Sonos components and I have absolutely no control over them, I can’t even stop the music from playing, the only way I can stop the music playing is by switching each component off, this is just madness. So what is my issue, I have absolutely no control of my components through the App, no volume control, unable to deslect a component that is linked, unable to change the music which is p

Please could someone help me. I’ve just bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar and thought it would be easy to set up. However, my Samsung TV  (model QE55Q60AAUXXU) seems to not have enough HDMI ports. It has two one of which is being used by my Amazon Firestick and the other by my son’s PS5). I had thought that I could free up one port by removing the PS5 HDMI from the TV and connect the PS5 directly to the soundbar and then connect the soundbar to the free HDMI port on the TV but it looks like the soundbar only has a single HDMI port itself. Should I use an HDMI splitter to resolve the problem and if so are there any recommended ones which I don’t have to physically switch every time I want to watch TV after the PS5 has been used and vice versa. Any other comments, thoughts or suggestions also gratefully received. Thank you and Happy New Year. 

Recently, my Sonos one SL has not been able to play music from my phone using AirPlay. AirPlay shows up as an option to stream music, but it crashes after six or seven seconds of attempting to play. I can play music through the Sonos app, and it seems to access my Apple Music with no trouble. The only strange issue there is that some of the playlists, which come from Apple rather than have been created by me, don’t show up. Other AirPlay devices on the network work fine.  I have re-set up the speaker through the Sonos app, and I’ve power cycled it.any thoughts as to what to do next? 

Hi, I recently bought an Era 300. I tested the Airplay feature from my Windows Desktop with the Itunes app, and from my Pixel with AirMusic. At first, it worked and I could listen music on the ERA 300, but since a few days it does not work anymore. I factory reseted the Era 300 and it still does not work. The Airplay connection seems to work as I can select the Sonos speaker from Itunes, but there is no sound coming out. Has anyone else had this problem?

My move 2 has Line in disconnected displaying. How do I reconnect it to my system? 

The Sonos app on my iPhone worked until today. It now sees my wifi but doesn’t see my system. My Sonos devices are showing up on my router as connected and Airplay still works. Deleting and reinstalling the app did nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
