My sonos phone app is not seeing or connecting to the any of my 8 sonos speakers.  How do I get the app to talk to the speakers?

I am writing an arduino IDE Esp8266 sketch to monitor the play status of a Sonos speaker and trigger an outlet. With SOAP responses, I can easily monitor the avTransport service using the getTransportInfo to get the currentTransportState.  But, if the speaker is grouped, that output is always “playing.” My idea is to identify the group coordinator IP and then use that device’s currentTransportState when the speaker is grouped. My issue is that when I group the speaker, the ZoneGroup Coordinator is defaulting to the same device every time… even when that device is not a part of the playing group. I assume it must have the lowest or first UUID, or something.  is there another way that I can monitor the play/pause status of a grouped speaker that is not the coordinator?  I know I’m missing something.  specs:I am using the S1 app with a variety of zp90, zp120, and play3. It’s an older system.  all thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

I have a Beam Gen 2 speaker with a sub-mini and I am thinking of adding two speakers for a surround sound experience when watching movies. I have a modest sized Lounge and the current set-up gives good sound quality. Any thoughts on the best additional speakers to purchase? Thanks and happy Listening.

good morning, I have a collection of 210 tracks on the YouTube music account that I play on the sonos account. For a few days now, if I try to play it on Sonos, it loads me with 33,800 tracks from the same collection. How can I solve the problem? Thank you

I’ve logged into my account, navigated to Upgrade and selected 2 items that are eligible for the upgrade offer of 15%. However when trying to add anything to my cart, it tells me there is a problem.I logout from my account and I can add any item I wish to my account, but I lose the 15% upgrade offer and I can’t see of a way to remove the items. So at the moment under my account I can’t purchase anything.

Recently added to Playbar and Sub 2 Era 100 speakers however since the Playbar will not create surround, I ordered a Beam Gen 2. Question - Will Sub Gen 1 work with the Beam 2, Era 100 to create the Surround? I know how the apps now work, but hoping when the Beam 2 arrives, it will all finally work. Thankls

Hi, I had an issue with my Sonos ERA 100, the device is 9 months old, so Sonos agreed to replace - I was sent a RMA / postage label, and sent item off to Poland. The item arrived at Poland warehouse 9 days ago as per the UPS tracking, but I haven’t received any email from Sonos to advise item has arrived or when a replacement device will be sent out. I have phoned Sonos support to request an update but am just told to wait a few days longer - but it’s been nearly 3 weeks since this process started so really missing my Sonos. Is this experience normal, and how long do people typically wait from faulty item being delivered to Poland warehouse to when a replacement device was received? Thank you in advance.

Received a “25% off for 20 years” offer today.  looks like a scamsmells like a conoh and WTF it’s from noreply@con.sonos.com ? i seriously hope this is not a  genuine Sonos offer..

Will you ever fix the poor Ui of the new app?  It’s still way to many steps to select a room and click forward click back to get to a room and it’s very inelegant.  Also, Will you ever add back alpha indexing to music library. Scrolling through 1,000 artists continues to frustrate me. I’m waiting for the app to be fully fixed before I consider buying any additional equipment. It’s been so long

I have a problem with my hearing.   I have some problems with deep (bass) voices merging into one.  The right ear is worse but I can usually hear what I need.  My main problem is that certain letters sound different ie S sounds like F etc .  I hear my tv ( 1 year old top spec) but due to the letter issues I sometimes loose the plot.   All this is not severe so most people would not know.I’m hoping a sound bar and perhaps speakers will help.  I have been looking at the Sonos Beam and Arc sound bars.  Perhaps a speaker might also help but as low tones merge I’m assuming the the bass speaker would not help /improve  my experience. Can anyone help with suggestions or a personal experience.

I have no idea what the techs at Sonos have done to the software over last few years, but they have basically ruined a great system.when I try any basic control on Sonos these days, I am now pleasantly surprised if it works……but mostly it doesn’t.i am literally one step away from ditching the whole (10 unit) system for an old school hifi that I know will work.

Hi!. I’ve just started with somos arc ultra and i’d like ti know wich surround soeakers and sunwoofer i need to complete my home cinema (médium size room) . Itll be enougb with sub mini and era 100?

I've just bought the roam 2, have to say I'm really dissapointed music playback is not enabled via amazon alexa.I did buy a cheaper speaker but returned as it didn't have WiFi and bought this thinking I could just randomly ask her to play music.Having owned the play 3 which has somehow developed an issue connecting to WiFi I feel I've spent an awful lot of money on speakers with limited capabilities!

My sonos app says no system found, i have reinstalled everything including the app, factory rest, router and wifi reset, everything, but i cannot play any.music as it seems i dont have a system.

Hi,I have an Sonos amp , Sonos arc and ceiling speakers that are not Sonos . The TV automatically connects to the Sonos arc when I turn on the TV . However, I have to go into the Sonos app and then activate the ceiling speakers to accompany the arc. Is there a way that both the arc and the ceiling speakers are automatically connected to the TV when I turn it on? ThanksBren

I am trying to use my new Bose quiet comfort headphones via Bluetooth with my ultra arc.How can I do this??

Starting probable a few weeks ago, I could not sign in to Sonos from my iOS app anymore. When I tried to sign in, the app took me to login.sonos.com. But everytime I got the same “incorrect email or password” error message. I am 100% sure that my email and password combination is correct. In fact I can log in to sonos just fine with the same email and password from a laptop computer, so I am not sure what goes wrong with the iPhone.Right now I can only see my speekers from my iPhone and play music, but I can not add or remove any services. Does anyone have the same issue? Please help me. Thanks.

Just replaced my Sonos CONNECT (wired set up) with Sonos Port (using wi-fi instead). I also have 10 Sonos:1’s, all on wi-fi. So I’m not using SonosNet anymore. The Sonos Port is connected and the app seems to think everything is fine after its setup. It’s output is connected to my receiver’s input, but there’s no sound coming out of the receiver’s speakers (the Sonos CONNECT worked fine prior). Sound is coming out of the rest of my Sonos speakers as usual. The network map shows all the Sonos speakers as being green. The Sonos Port is in white and says “Noise Floor: 0, 0, 0, 0 undefined” Anyone know what’s wrong here?

Hi I have the above setup connected to a beam gen2 via arc ,A sub mini and 2 Era100s as a surround pair. if I play a streaming app I get Dolby 5.1 or Atmos showing on Sonos app. If I play a blue ray or dvd I only see stereo pcm. The tv has auto, bypass , pcm settings and the blue ray player has hdmi as either auto or pcm. I have tried many combinations but it never changes from stereo pcm.

Hi all, ideally I’d like to use my bookshelf speakers with a turntable utilising the amp. This is in the same room as my tv with a beam, can I not use my bookshelf speakers to provide surround sound and then when I’m playing vinyl utilise the bookshelf speakers?

I have tried everything to reconnect my Sonos one after changing my router but with no joy. I've tried WiFi connection, hard connection, reset and reconnect, none of which works.  Please help as I've no got a very useless black boxThanks in advance,  Joe

My Sonos system (Beam & 2 100’s) stopped responding to play music commands with Alexa. I get the “I’m having trouble playing that right now” message. I’ve rebooted the system and reauthorized all music systems. WiFi signal very strong. Any help is appreciated.

I would like to add ceiling speakers / amp to a summer house/gym, what do I need to set this up correctly?I will have internet hard wired to the summer house/gym. do i need to consider anything else? thanks in advance.

I have 2 play:1 2  symfonisk all working absolutely fine until 2 days ago. 1 play is connected via Ethernet, suddenly I cant connect to the system, the app on my phone lets me log in but wont see any speakers, i try to add them and i go through the whole factory reset and add speaker, whether its via ethernet or via wifi I get to the end and then I get a message saying that the speaker has been added but might need to be restarted to be available in the app. Try that and nothing.50 mins wait for support Was considering replacing it all with Era 100s but not looking so likely now.

I am unable to play music from YouTube music app on my Sonos Arc. I am able to play music from Spotify though. YouTube music app does not show the Sonos speaker itself. I was able to play earlier on my iPhone. This issue seems specific to Google pixel. Can you please advise?
