Is there a way for my speaker to make a sound when it hears "Hey, Sonos" instead of after it responds to what I say?  I want an indication that it heard me.

Thanks.

That would be nice to have a chime or some type of audio response before making the request. Alexa does.

At present the LED Status light and voice assistant LED blink upon “Hey Sonos”; but one is not always near the speaker to observe it.

Since it’s your idea why not submit it as a feature request 😊. I’d definitely give it a like! 👍

Hi @elduderino502, welcome to the Sonos Community!

While there isn’t a confirmation tone when Sonos hears the ‘Hey Sonos’ command, the LED status light of the speaker that hear the command should glow brighter and the volume of any playing audio will lower, which is a good way to tell that it heard the command.

I think a tone for hearing ‘Hey Sonos’ and another tone for your command could be a bit redundant, likely why SVC works the way it does already. I’d be happy to forward this to the relevant teams as a feature request however.

If you have any further suggestions or ideas, please let us know!

The light is only useful if I can see it and the volume change is only useful if there's already music playing.

It would be nice to be able to choose between options of whether you want a reception and/or confirmation tone.  It doesn't need to be redundant.
