Let the Roam have its WiFi credentials? One caveat though: you’d need another phone to use the Sonos app on. Why would you want this?

Because the sound is supposed to be better over wifi. The sound is very bass-y, muffled and boomy over Bluetooth. It’s really not easy or pleasant to listen to. I have pretty much stopped using the Roam and use buds instead.

Not owning a Roam, I cannot confirm or deny this. I do seem te remember however that using Bluetooth the sound is governed by the settings on your phone, that could be set to what you like best on your ear buds. Have you tried changing the sound setting on your phone?
