Hi, I have a question about the Sonos App (on Android).I’ve hooked up my LG OLED48CX6LB TV to a new Beam Gen 2 Sound Bar via HDMI. I’ve configured all the settings correctly. When I play a Dolby ATMOS test video from Youtube (on the TV) and look at the “whats playing” section of the App, I can see the audio formats change depending on what I’m watching. My question is when I play a Dolby Atmos test video, it says Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0, is this correct or should it display the Dolby Atmos logo and say Dolby ATMOS?Thanks

While hunting down a problem with Music Library files not being recognized by some of my components (after installing a new Asus WiFi router) I found folders on the music library hard drive with names like:FTOY07~G_OLYYS~F_WTT9Q~PThis is shown in Finder on macOS when I browse the drive. If I insert the drive directly to a Mac, these folder names are not shown. Instead I find that they have unusual characters and quotes. Possibly also long file names.Names like:[RI028] "Mu"'Ignacio'Fax|Nmlk If I index the Music Library with only ‘old’ Sonos components (like Connect) active there is no problem on these components.If I index the Music Library with only ‘new’ Sonos components (like Play1 & 3 and Sound Bar) active there is no problem with these components.However when I mix ‘new’ and ‘old’, one of the categories will fail to find these folders when I try to play on these components. Which it is depends on which I indexed last.Maybe long file names will also produce these errors.-Previou

I share a SSD HD on my WiFi using USB to Asus AX WiFi router. I have my Sonos Music Library on that disk.I used to have an Airport Extreme router, using this disk. With Asus some players does not find the Music Library, actually they don’t even find the HD.Since I have older components I use S1. I’ve read that it might have to do with Samba version. Could that be the case when some components still can find the Music Library and play the files?Not sure if the Asus router lets me change Samba version.Also, which would be the recommended file system on the shared disk for Sonos compability?

When I try to connect my play1 to the system, the play1 do not play the sound-pincode. Is there a way to connect the speaker without it?

How do I factory reset Sonos ones?

ARC/ERA300 Does Sono is planning to add the option in their app to easily switch from atmos to stereo, vice versa? Being audiophile, I really enjoy the era 300 power. The only show stopper to buy the arc ultra is disabeling the front driver of the era 300 when set in surround mode With arc ultra So, when I listen music I would be like to fully able the era 300 But it seems setting up almos then desetting it and setting stereo seem studious  Does Sono is planning to add the option to easily switch from atmos to stereo, vice versa?

I have a new Acer Aspire computer. I have 2 x sonos 1 and 1 sonos 5 speakers, I have downloaded a new controller. I have updated my music collection and Sonos WILL NOT recognise it. I have treid for 1 x week.Quite simply IT & related should make my life easier. Please do not patronise me by sending me some banal list of instructions - I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO THIS WHEN SONOS ISSUE AN UPDATE.I have emailed the CEO and i’d like the courtesy of a response.For the avoidance of doubt I am in the UK and have an MSc & two professional qualifications. I have used ChatGPT extensively to try and sort this out and even this has failed, so I am done.I will be spending all of my days explaining to people what has happened as many of my friends are serious music lovers too. This service/system of yours is a bloody disgrace, you should be out of business, You couldn’t run a bath let alone somthing this technical.Simon, Cambridge, United Kingdom

Since last update, I have products dropping off. They just stop p,aging. App on Mac doesn’t find system.  When I do about system, I am not seeing WMO’s or 2morrow1.  Just started to happen.  Any ideas?

Since the Updated app was released, Sonos has been more or less impossible to work with.When turn on or off Music, changing songs or setting up different music in different rooms. Either it takes long time for response or it doesn’t work.I can see the response is often interference, but nothing Else has changed except the app Update. Before the Update there was no problem, no it’s constantely a problem. I wish it was possible to delete the new update and use the old versionI am serious conseduring to skip Sonos, if Sonos is not kabel to fix the appBRPeter    

I recently jumped the gun and installed four sonance in ceiling speakers with a Sonos amp controlling them. I already have a Samsung soundbar for the tv with a wireless subwoofer from Samsung. Now stuck trying to figure out if possible to have all speakers work at the same time for the tv? Would love to have the four ceiling speakers and sound bar work at the same time but concerned I can’t link all together. Help please

Have had SONOS Arc + sub, 2 x ERA 100s and Roam 2 for over a year. All connected to the app and in 3 groups - 1. Everywhere, 2. Upstairs, 3. Downstairs. - No issues until……..As of today 19/3/25 - I can’t move from one group to another. Every time I press “apply” I get an error message “Unable to connect, try again later”. Music is stuck on Upstairs group. Same symptoms on Sonos app on 2 different iPads and 2 iPhones, plus iMac.I’be been on to Sonos help for over 2 hours. Have tried all resets, router, app, Sonos devices, network settings, disable 2.4GHZ on SkyQ and not playing lossless music tracks (which I was told was maybe a cause) -  nothing works. Sonos help tried a remote session but the advisor then without warning terminated the call and never phoned back - I suspect she did this because it was then 7.10 pm and she was due to finish at 7pm….. Appropriate complaint submitted.I digress - can anyone assist? - Thanks in advance

I see it’s been asked once before, but am interested…Does anyone know definitively if Trueplay works whether Sonos direct (from Spotify, for example) vs Airplay2 ? My setup: Arc, 2 Era100s (set as surround pair)

I’m trying to help my dad with a problem. His Sonos system has been working for years. Suddenly, when selecting music from his “Favorites” playlist in Windows Media Player, Sonos gives us a message essentially saying the folder doesn’t exist. However, it DOES exist. The path provided by Sonos is the path where the folder resides. Has anyone had this issue or have any ideas of what we might try. We’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Sonos. 

I want to connect my Beolab 9 Speakres to the Sonos Port but with the cable I bought it just makes a ton of noise and no proper sound.Do you know where can I buy two cables (one for each speaker) that allow me to connect them? Doesn't matter if it's in Europe or USA.ThanksDiego

I got rid of a speaker (Play 3) but it still appears in the app as a Missing Speaker.  I can't work out how to remove this non-existent speaker from the app.

This is still an issue for me (has been for months).  I’ve tried all of the restarting, updates, etc.  Is there any solution for this on the software side?  It’s only the Arc that is having the issue and controlling from the App.  The remote and physical buttons work fine. 

I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Sonos Beam Gen2. The connection is experiencing frequent disconnection. Are there any settings I need to adjust or is there an issue with the Sonos Beam? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Am I the only one who complains about the extremely useless wifi settings of Sonos and their constant failure? Playbar has become a real pain in the neck. It has messed up both my wifi settings and my modem's settings and each of the 10 different Sonos devices needs to be set up again. I am really fed up with it. It is not user friendly at all. I wish I could get a Samsung soundbar and solve the cinema problem like this, it would be both cheaper and more user friendly. Moderator Note: Changed the wording of the thread title. Now that Amazon is discontinuing its privacy setting (as of March 28, 2025) and will be sending all commands to its cloud servers, are there any plans to bring Apple HomeKit / Siri to voice enabled speakers?  I have multiple echo devices that I’ll be unplugging before this goes live. But I also have two voice enabled Sonos speakers (Arc Ultra & Era 100). I don’t want to migrate to Google, because they’re likely to follow Amazon’s lead on the privacy front. I enjoy the convenience of controlling lights & music by voice, but not having everything sent to Amazon servers.  

I just purchased an Arc Ultra.  I am using Apple TV 4K box on a Bravia 7 tv.  The sound quality and volume is noticeably different when using the Google Tv interface instead of Apple TV.  Any thoughts ?

Hi Folks - Sonos user for many years.  I bring my laptop to my office every day - and connect to my Sonos One there, then bring it home in the evening/weekends and connect to my system here.  There’s never been an issue, as it automatically recognizes where it is/which system it is.  Until I got a new router at home last week that is.  Now, I’m having to reset the router every time in each location to “find” the existing network.I’m sure it’s something obvious, but help!  :)

My soundcloud content is not shown/recognised by Sonos app since 2 days ago! Before I used it all the time and suddenly it stops to show my soundcloud content! Anyone with same problem? I tried uninstalling both apps/ reboot modem/ reboot sonos device/ removing soundcloud sercice and adding again!! Nothing works. 

I am very surprised that I can’t schedule an alarm with my radio or my music using my system, which consists of two Era 300 speakers. Moreover, I don’t see any option to adjust the balance between the two speakers. Did I miss something, or is the app stuck in the 1980s?

As you can see in the picture, I have a breakfast bar with a pretty good view.I LOVE sitting here with guests, drinking wine and talking shite.I LOVE my Sonos sound, too, BUT, I cannot get a good sound with a pair of ones at the window end of the breakfast bar. I think they’re just to close and the stereo sound doesn’t propagate well enough, or something. It just sounds pretty poor.The pair of speakers I have are out of sight on the photo and provide great sound, but the sound is coming from behind me and I’d LIKE some sound to come from in front of me. Where the kitchen roll is.I want to set up a system that cannot currently work together, a centre speaker on the BBar and the two existing behind and to the sides.Can this be set up for sound only, and not tv?Common sense says, get a Beam, but honestly, a Beam or Ray isn’t required for this. A single One or Three would do the job and I have a spare one.
