Hi All, I watch a lot of premier league football in the UK and the Now TV app has dolby 5.1. Would a pair of era 100s with a decent sub be a good setup for watching soccer?

Thanks

You could have carried on your other thread…!

I had Sky Sports via Now TV last season and, with Ultra Boost, football on Sky Sports UHD was in Dolby Atmos for most games. Very impressive on the Sonos home theatre setup (as mentioned on the other thread I have Arc, Sub and Symfonisk surrounds).

To be honest, whilst impressive, a lot of that will have been down to Sonos rather than the broadcaster! Atmos on Now TV wasn’t that much different to when games were in 5.1 (still great) - TNT Sports seems to have better Atmos. But then again, the Now TV app has gone through some changes lately (including no longer range and frame rate matching on the Apple TV) so it may improve again yet.

As in your other post regarding surrounds recommendations for your Ultra, the 100’s will be fine.

Thanks Bruce, apologies for duplicating, just wanted to see if anyone had experience of Now TV and surrounds. Sounds like it will be ok.

Thanks Rhonny and yes you're right, I should have edited the other thread to include this detail so apologies for that! Appreciate your reply

Not looking to start another thread but I see an issue reported about 6 months ago on another thread where loads of people were complaining about era 100s as rears not getting much sound from the Arc ultra. I can't see confirmation if this was ever fixed but assuming it was?

Decide for yourself. Buy them and try them. If you’re not happy, return them within the Returns window and get a refund.

Wow. There are sports channels  providing Atmos? That would be much appreciated in the Netherlands too.
