The playbar offers 2 IR sensors. I've been using the side or edge IR sensor and now would like to change and use the other IR senor. I cannot get the other senor to work. The senor light will not respond.

We set up our new sonos with alexa a couple of months ago and she worked fine for about 2 weeks. Then voice services just completely stopped working. In the app, it looks like everything is still fine. So we disconnect Alexa and reconnect and it works fine. Again for about two weeks. This keeps happening over and over and it really frustrating. Any ideas?

I have moved my two play 5s from one room to my TV room to use as rear speakers for the surround sound. I was able to add them just fine, however, when I went to tune the system there is no True Tune to select on my app. I have an iPhone X

So... the 3 year old has been leaving grubby food prints all over the playbar. Anyone have any tips to clean the fabric cover please?

I tried connecting my LG Magic Remote with my Playbase, without success. I've already read related topics on this forum and also the help article that is available here: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4267 According to the help article I need to go to 'device connector', then select soundbar, then select a manufacturer and a remote type. However, I do not get the latter 2 options (select manufacturer and remote type). All I can do under device connector is select soundbar and then 'optical'. So far during my Sonos setup my LG Magic remote cannot be found. My LG WebOS seems to be up-to-date. Are there any options to connect my LG Magic Remote to my Playbase? Thanks, Steven

It would be great if changing radio station was possible in a Sonos One without the need of the phone.

I have a curved Smart-Touch remote for my Samsung TV and have gone through the Sonos setup process, but the Playbar does not recognize the volume button signals (I'm assuming this is due to RF signals??). The strange part is that when the TV is set to TV/arial source (not HDMI) the playbar volume works!? When I switch to my other sources the volume does not work. If I configure the Playbar to work with the IR remote, everything works, but I'd much rather use the Smart-Touch remote. Any clues as to how to best fix this? (I did not get a IR repeater with my TV, although it has the external connector for HDMI etc) I have the Playbar connected via the optical port. All help appreciated!

I was speaking with customer service a few days ago and they mentioned that new Sonos speakers are typically revealed toward the end of the calendar year. Is there a particular event where they show them? The design aesthetic of the Sonos line is what I might call mid-century modern or utilitarian. The Sonos One seems to improve things a bit over the Play:One. I seem to remember that they came out with a 'jazz' verison of the Play:One. Maybe there were a few other special editions as well. Does anyone know of any plans to redesign the visual aesthetic or possibly add more speakers to the line? Would love to see a Play:Seven added to the lineup.

I've spent a few weeks trying to understand the capabilities of Sonos speakers - think I'm getting there. For a few years I've been using iMac/iTunes to Airplay music to 3 speakers around the house, but the arrival of an Echo dot and having signed up to Prime music (limited package) means I want to make more of this. Please could someone help to clarify my thoughts, concerns and fears... 1) Looking to buy 3 Sonos Ones & Playbase. (Likely the Echo Dot will be redundant, but feel it's worth buying the more recent 'Ones' than Play 1s.) 2) It sounds like I can still stream my iTunes library/ Playlists via the Sonos App. Presumably I could also control this from my iPhone/iPad as long as the Mac remains switched on? 3) Sounds like Airplay 2 is also on the way (including Playbase?). Not sure how this would necessarily improve things, although I've read about failings in the Sonos App when it comes to functionality but don't know what. I'm trying to decide between a pair of sonos ones or a pair of play:1s + an echo dot. I understand that at the moment, it is not possible to pair the play:1s directly with a dot (because Alexa is not room aware), meaning that Alexa will talk back through the dot, rather than through the play:1s. Is the functionality to directly pair a dot with a sonos room (so that alexa replies through the sonos system) likely to be incorporated in the future? The main reason for asking is because I will be mounting the speakers in the far corner of my kitchen, and think it may be better to go for the play:1 + dot combo so that I can position the dot more centrally for picking up voice. I'm not sure whether it is overkill going for a stereo pair of sonos ones - is it true that only one would have Alexa activated in any event? Any guidance appreciated!

I just returned my full Sonos system (10 speakers) because of Audible was not available.

Hi folks, sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere but I’m thinking about buying a Sonos One and am interested in finding out more about how it will integrate with an existing Echo Spot. For example, I currently set an alarm in the morning via the TuneIn skill on the Echo Spot, so I get woken up to the radio and it plays through the Echo Spot. If I want to play the radio through my current Sonos PLAY:1, then I have to stop the radio playing through the Echo Spot and then tell Alexa to play the radio (“Alexa play Radio 2 in the bedroom”). If I get a Sonos One then is it possible to do the same thing through the Sonos, or would I have to keep doing it through the Spot and have the radio playing through the Spot? Also I’m wondering if there’s any issue with commands, i.e. currently if I say “Alexa play some Bruce Springsteen in the kitchen” then it will shuffle songs on the Sonos PLAY:1 in the kitchen. What happens if I have a Sonos One in the same room as the Echo Spot n

I cannot work out how to link all these devices so i can control Spotify with my voice using my Sonos One, does anyone have simple instructions on how to do this?

My wife and I have two separate Spotify accounts. Our Sonos apps have our own Spotify account on our own phones. We each have Alexa on our phones. We tend to control our Sonos with Alexa. Alexa will only play using my Spotify account - if I'm driving I can't listen to Spotify if the family are listening on Sonos even though my wife is there with her phone and account. How can I make Alexa/Sonos choose the Spotify account of the phone that's connected to the sage WiFi Is there anyway round this?

Title says it. some posts seem to indicate that's how autoplay works (or doesn't). After the signal that triggered autoplay goes away, why doesn't it revert to what it was playing before? maybe with a configurable timeout? This seems like such a big oversight...

I’ve just bought a pair of One’s & am enjoying them as my dining room set up in stereo. I find the sound acceptable for casual listening. I’ve got a classic Nad 3020 amp & monitor audio Rs1’s in the living room. I love the sound of this set up. Is hooking up a connect to these a better option than say buying a Play 5? Sound quality is very important to me but I’m not running audiophile quality equipment. How does the connect sound? Any input appreciated.

I tried to fix this a couple of years ago but was never successful. I've tried all the suggestions I see on line. Please advise how to overcome this irritating problem!

Just added a Sonos Playbar to my TV (just put down new hardwood floors and wanted to eliminate all the wires from my old theatre surround sound system). I already own 2 Play 5s and 2 Play 1s so staying with Sonos was a no-brainer. Setup,of the new Playbar was fast, easy and flawless. It sounds great both for tv shows and for streaming music. The remote control setup for volume control also went flawlessly. The only issue I'm having is with the IR repeater. I can't seem to turn off the tv using the remote unless I st d with the remote controller 2 inches from the Playbar's IR receiver window (yes the app,is set up correctly). Should the IR indicator light come on when I send an on/off signal the same way as when I send a volume change signal? It doesn't. Any ideas?

I have been using a Playbar with a Sony Bravia for several months. No cable box, just a Xbox and the apps on the TV. Now, all of a sudden, the sound from the Xbox still works but no sound from any of the apps (Netflix, MLB, etc.). Any ideas?

Hi there I have two Sonos One, they are set up to my home WiFi and connected to Amazon Alexa and Spotify. The Spotify is lnked to the account, which is also Premium. It works when i play music via through the app, however, it doesnt recognise that spotify is linked when ask Alexa to play spotify music. What can I do to resolve this, as everything that i believe needs to be done to link Spotify, Sonos and Alexa has been done.

Playing tv through my connect:Amp. I have a Connect:Amp and would like to play tv / movies through the system speakers. I have a headphone jack on the back of my TV with a converter extension to RCA. I plug in the jack to the tv and the RCA extensions to the Connect:Amp. I switch my tv to jack / optimal output and then go to the sonos app to choose line-in. It looks like it’s all working fine but there is no sound. What’s the deal? Thanks.
