I want to add a Sonos one, to my existing set up of a Playbar and 2 Sonos Play Ones currently set as souround sound. I understand I cannot use the new Sonos one as one of the surround speakers (unless I have 2 Sonos ones) but if I keep the existing set up as it is, can I add the Sonos one and acheive Alexa voice activation to the setup with the new Sonos one just set as an additional speaker. Would be grateful for any help. Thanks.

So I tried to play a song from my sonos app and the app said it was unable to find sonos on my wifi. I restarted my router. Same issue. I reset my router. Same issue. Alexa on my Sonos had suddenly acquired an american accent and instantly says "sorry, im having trouble understanding right now". I set up my surround sound again (for the recoird i have two sonos ones and beam) and it still doesn't work - again blaming the wifi. THIS. IS. NOT. DOWN. TO. MY. WIFI. And its frustrating that the app keeps doing this. This is the second time this has happened. Can someone advise, because I'm on the verge of just selling these speakers.

There is only one output (optical) from my new LG OLED TV and it goes to an optical splitter (1 in 4 out) and on to my Playbar as well as 2 Transmitter/Receiver earphones. The 2 earphones require the output from the TV to be PCM. Because the TV must transmit via PCM to the Playbar will that limit my ability to have a 3.1 SONOS system?

We are about to start a backyard renovation and I'm trying to plan ahead. I currently have several Sonos speakers and am using a Connect to create a Sonos Zone for our primary home theater/AVR (Denon AVR-X3500H). Here's my question: If I skip the Sonos Amp, go with a different passive outdoor speaker brand (leaning Polk currently) and connect the speakers to Zone2 on the Denon via the speaker terminals, will I be able to control the volume of Zone2 playback outside with the Sonos App that is tied to the "Living Room" home theater zone? Or will I need to use the Denon app to control the volume of Zone2 from the receiver? In other words, will the volume slider within the Sonos App for "Living Room" control both Main Zone and Zone2 simultaneously of the AVR?

When watching movies using my sonos surround system (Beam + 2 Play 1s) the music coming from the 2 surrounds over powers the center channel, the Beam. Is there a way to make the beam (center channel) louder than the surrounds.

Want to pair new gen 3 echo dot to playbar, so alexa can speak through the playbar and I can hear her. Is this possible or was I miss lead when I purchased playbar?

I just bought a BenQ HT2050A 1080P Home Theater Projector with HDMI ports and was wondering how I could hook up my PLAY 1 (1st generation) to it. Is it possible? Do I need to purchase additional input/output cables or accessories to achieve this?

I can use Sonos on Mac and Windows running NordVPN, yet on Android phone I get error from Sonos - "You are connected to a vpn which may interfere with connecting to Sonos." Sonos then directs me to NordVPN settings which only gives two setting options - (1) Always-on VPN (which I am not going to change to just use Sonos), and (2) Block connections without VPN (which I have tried in both on and off modes - neither work). Any ideas as to how to get Sonos to work?

With the Sonos App and Spotify Premium my family can play different songs in different rooms on Sonos speakers. Using Alexa on Echo Dot if I start music on one speaker (e.g Office Sonos) then go to a separate Echo Dot in another room and ask it to play a different song on the Sonos speaker in that room (e.g. Dining room Sonos) the music stops playing on the first Sonos. I am assuming this is some limitation of the current integration between Alexa on Echo Dot and Sonos but was curious if anyone else had experienced it?

Evening All, First of all please accept my apologies for asking a question that surely must have been asked before. I did search the forum but couldn’t find a clear answer to my specific problem. I already have a Playbase and also a Sub that (if I understand it correctly) is connected to the Playbase on a 5MHz network. Last week I took a risk on buying a Play:1 to use in another room. eBay, of course ? Good news: it is in beautiful condition and works perfectly over Ethernet. Bad news: for the life of me I cannot get it to work over WiFi. Worse, I have tried a factory reset, assuming that perhaps some of my difficulties might lie in the previous owners settings. But the speaker flashed amber/white for 20mins then started flashing red/off. After unplugging and replugging it’s now flashing white/off and won’t stop. I have only found one thread on here and that ended with the conclusion that the unit was broken. I’m sure I could just send it back for a refund but

Is it possible to use any combination of Sonos products to drive passive hard-wired stereo ceiling speaker pairs in 5 separate rooms around the house and configure each room as its own zone? All speaker cables come back to one 19" rack-mount cabinet in the garage right next to the router where I already have a single Connect:Amp wired up to the kitchen ceiling speakers. I was using a Nuvo 3-zone streaming amp but its PSU just failed and it wasn't that good anyway. Would I use multiple Connect:Amps (expensive) or is there a better solution? Thank you for your help. Tim.

I have a bridge and connect which are both showing as active and setup correctly (I've had my Sonos for 4 years with no issues until now). However, suddenly the volume on my speakers is insufficient (like a whisper even when turned to max volume). Any suggestion please? I tried calling the 800# but the wait time was well over 30 minutes.

How to connect samsung remote for sonos? 75 Qe75Q7f

I have all my music organised on iTunes. I would be willing to use another software for music organisation. I have recently begun using streaming services for music (spotify, Youtube) My current setup is 2 x Sonos One's for music that i play through a smartphone. and separately a 35yr old receiver/amp and bookshelf speakers that are top quality that i use as computer speakers. I would like to combine the two systems Can i get a Sonos Amp and connect my bookshelf speakers to it, also control 2 x Sonos One's and direct control via either phone or computer? Does the Sonos Amp require the software on the computer to run? Are there limitations on the proposed setup? Youtube works through my current setup..... Is there a way to run a Sonos based system without the software?

Set up sonos app on Android but it is not my email address on app, I can't change it not sure what to do

I'll be at a music festival where wifi is unreliable at best. I know I can get a Lightening to RJ45 ethernet adapter, so I'm thinking I can play my music on my sonos 1 through the ethernet connection. Will this work? Any tips/suggestions I should know so I can make it work?

Hi All I've purchased a Beam along with a Flexson Adjustable Mount which allow mounting of the Beam upside down, eg, under a kitchen cabinet. Does anyone know how to configure it so that the left and right channels are swapped for correct stereo. It doesn't appear to happen automatically. Thanks

Is it safe to delete previous install files after an update? I have 3 Sonos install files in this folder.

Hi, I have a Rega P2 turntable with amp and speakers. I also have a sonos 3 and want to start using my vinyl through a sonos so we can play in other rooms. Is this possible? what do I need? how do I do it? Thank!

I've been searching for the answer for this for a few days and I suspect it is simply "doesn't work like that", but hopefully someone can help me. TLDR: Can I tell Alexa to play music on all Sonos speakers if the speakers are already in individual Alexa groups? --- I have a couple of Sonos speakers with Alexa built in, all works well, and I love that the integration keeps improving over time. I'm trying to get to grips with Alexa groups and it's not working how I expected. I have a Beam in the lounge, and a One in the kitchen. They are in Alexa groups with other devices in each room, eg Alexa group "Lounge" has some smart lights and the Beam as the preferred speaker. I have it set up this way so that I can say things like "turn the lights on" without specifying the room. I can request music in the same way "play blah" and it works, and I can say "play blah in the kitchen" from the lounge and that works too. So far so good. What I want to be able to do is say "play bla

How can I play the songs from my sonos library to the headphones on the iPhone? If I'm in the garden and within wifi range I want to listen to the music that's not stored on the iPhone via the sonos app. The iPhone should just be another device connected to the sonos app

I am adding a new zone to an existing multizone setup. This will be a zone connected to a home theater receiver, to allow the home theater speakers to be used as a Sonos zone when the TV is not in use. The consultant I am working with has spec'ed a Sonos Connect for this setup. I have an old ZP80 that I am not currently using. Can I put that in, instead of buying a Connect? The rest of the system uses ZP90's connected to amps and ZP100s connected directly to speakers. Also, if I use the 80s and 100s in my system, will I have any compatibility issues if I want to add new units later, such as SUBs or PLAY:1 (or :3 or :5)? Thanks for your help.
